Miss Republica Dominicana Universo 2012 is Carlina Duran
21 year old Miss La Vega, Carlina Duran Baldera won the prestigious title of Miss Republica Dominicana Universo (Miss Dominican Republic Universe) 2012 in a pageant took place last April 17 at the Renaissance Santo Domingo Jaragua Hotel in Santo Domingo.
Carlina stands 182cm tall who competed before in Miss Tourism Queen International 2012. She will now represent the Caribbean country in this year's Miss Universe competition on December.
The 1st run-up was Miss Distrito Nacional, Dulcita Leggi who will enter the Miss Continente Americano 2012 in Ecuador. The 2nd run-up who will travel to Bolivia to the Reina Hispanoamericana competition was Miss Santiago, Carolyn Hawa.
The reigning Miss Universe 2011, Leila Lopes from Angola was guest of honor at the event, televised live on Antena Latina.
