Ellen Degeneres has always been an influence in my life. She is always positive and never judges others. I love how passionate she is about people and making them happy. She has worked very hard to be where she is today and never gave up on her dreams.

What is your proudest personal accomplishment (other than participating in this pageant)?

After the pageant last year I was asked to speak at the Brockville Women’s Network in my hometown of Brockville. I discussed my journey, my success and my future goals. I spoke of the importance of chasing your dreams and believing in yourself. It was a very rewarding experience.

What is the most interesting or unique thing that has ever happened to you and/or what is the most interesting thing about you?

I played competitive baseball and hockey for many years. This involved a lot of hard work, travel and commitment. My teams earned many awards, but the two that I am most proud of are a provincial gold medal in baseball and a provincial silver in hockey.

What is your career ambition and what are you doing or plan to do to accomplish that goal?

I have already accomplished my goal of completing school with an Advanced Diploma in graphic design. I plan on continuing my education in university and receiving a degree in a Bachelor of Arts. I hope to then go to teachers college so I can share my passion of art with students.

What would be your “dream job” in life?

My dream job would to be able to go to work everyday and love what I do. My goal is to teach high school art, which is where my passion was really discovered.

I am a country and city girl. I grew up in a small town in the country and had the same best friends all through school. Most of my time was spent with my family, my mom, dad and brother. My family then moved to the city once I started high school. We kept busy playing sports and travelling.

I hope to be in a successful career that I enjoy, and to be surrounded by my loving family.

Is there anything you would like to add that we haven’t asked?
