Miss Universe 2012 Official Delegates

The most prestigious international beauty pageant in the world, the Miss Universe 2012 will take place again this year celebrating it's 61st year in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

A total of 89 beauties will vie for the coveted crown currently worn by the reigning queen, Leila Lopes of Angola.

The finals will be staged on December 19 at the PH Live, Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. Hosting the event were Andy Cohen and Giuliana Rancic and broadcasted live by NBC in partnership with Telemundo.

Weronika Szmajdzinska of Poland wins Miss Global Teen 2012

18 year old Miss Poland, Weronika Szmajdzinska was crowned as the new Miss Global Teen 2012 during a beauty contest held in Buenos Aires, Argentina on November 24. She was crowned by last year's winner, Mayte Brito Medina from Dominican Republic.

Standing 1.75m tall, Weronika speaks Polish and English and wants to study journalism. She competed in Miss World 2012 earlier this year in China.

The outgoing winner Cesar Curti from Brazil pass his title to Mr. Lebanon, Ali Hammoud as he won the title of Mister International 2012 during a male pageant held last November 24 in Bangkok, Thailand.

Venezuela emerged as Miss Intercontinental 2012

21 year old Miss Venezuela, Daniela Chalbaud was crowned as the new Miss Intercontinental 2012 during a glamorous gala held last November 23 at the Eurogress Convention Center in Aachen, Germany.

Crowning the new winner was last year's queen, Jessica Hartman from the USA. Daniela is currently a language student and works as a professional model.

Finished as the 1st run-up was Genesis MariaDavilo Perez of Puerto Rico. 2nd run-up was Laura Ashfield of England. The 3rd run-up was South Africa's Roxanne Amy Zeller. And finally, the 4th run-up place went to Natthida Pekkhad of Thailand.

Francisco Escobar of Colombia wins Mister World 2012

21 year old Francisco Escobar representing Colombia won the title of Mister World 2012 held last November 24 at the Kent County Showground in Kent, England where 48 gorgeous hunks competed.

Francisco from Cali stands 6'0" tall. He was crowned by the outgoing titleholder, Kamal Ibrahim from Ireland.

The 1st run-up was Andrew Wolff from the Philippines. 2nd run-up placer was Leo Delaney of Ireland.

Completing the top 10 finalists were Gianni Sennesael (Belgium), Frankie Cena (Canada), Vanja Grgec (Croatia), Roland Johnson (England), - Rodolphe Bou Nader (Lebanon), Rodrigo Fernandini (Peru) and Truong Nam Thanh (Vietnam).

The award for Mr. Sports was won by Ireland's Leo Delaney. Mr. Talent was Frankie Cena of Canada. Multimedia Award was Andrew James Wolff from the Philippines. The winner of the Extreme Challenge was Vanja Grgec of Croatia. And Vietnam's Truong Nam Thanh won the Fashion and Style Challenge.

Czech Republic crowned Miss Earth 2012

Tereza Fajksova from Czech Republic won the 12th Miss Earth 2012 crown on the night of November 24 at the Versailles Palace, Alabang in Muntinlupa City, Philippines. She beat out 79 other international beauties and was crowned by the outgoing queen Olga Alava from Ecuador.

23 year old Tereza from Ivancice won the 1st Miss Earth title for her country.

The 1st run-up or the Miss Air title was the hometown candidate Miss Philippines, Stephany Stefanowitz. Miss Water or the 2nd run-up was Osmariel Villalobos from Venezuela. And the 3rd run-up or Miss Earth Fire was Brazil's Camila Brant.

Alexandra Salmeron wins Miss Resorts World Manila 2012

26 year old Alexandra Salmeron won the 3rd crown of Miss Resorts World Manila 2012 during a elegant fashion show / beauty contest held at the Newport Performing Arts Theater on November 23.

Alexandra received P500,000 worth of cash and prizes, scholarships, and a Star Cruises Trip. She will also get to represent the name of the Philippines' first integrated lifestyle hub and showcase the innate Filipina beauty, culture, and pride both here and abroad.

The 1st run-up was Michelle Gavagan, a was former Miss Philippines Fire 2011. The 2nd run-up was Bb. Pilipinas 2012 Finalist Karen Gallman. 3rd run-up was also candidate to Binibining Pilipinas 2012, Jillean Orbina. And finally the 4th run-up was Angeli Gomez.

Completing the top 12 semi-finalists were: 2nd timer Kaara Tan, Zahara Soriano, Julian Flores, Erika San Buenaventura, Joanne Dagohoy, Hannah Dela Guerra and Katarina Maria Casem Martinez.

Special awards were also given out: Darling of the Press went to Julian Flores. Amazing Race Challenge winner was Michelle Gavagan. Karen Gallman wins the Miss Photogenic Award. And Social Media Fan Favorite was Ferina de Paz.

Weeks before the coronation night on November 24, fans all over the world had a chance to vote for their Miss Photogenic online.

From the accumulated Miss Earth website votes and Facebook "likes" determined the Most Photogenic candidates of Miss Earth 2012. Miss Venezuela, Osmariel Villalobos placed 1st with 25,667 votes (Gold), Miss Thailand, Waratthaya Wongchayaporn got 22,326 votes (Silver) and Miss Costa Rica, Fabiana Granados earned 18,817 votes (Bronze).

National Costume Competition | Miss Earth 2012

The fabulous Infinity Ballroom of the Best Western Premiere F1 Hotel in Taguig City was the venue for this year's Miss Earth National Costume Competition held last November 19.

All 80 contestants wearing cultural attire that reflects their own country's history and culture.

The Gold medal or the winner of the Best in National Costume goes to Miss Thailand, Waratthaya Wongchayaporn. In 2nd place winning the Silver medal was Miss South Africa, Tamerin Jardine. And finally, Deviyah Daranee from Malaysia won the Bronze medal or the 3rd place.

Evening Gown Competition | Miss Earth 2012

The delegates of Group 3 competed in SMDC pavilion last November 15 for the Miss Earth 2012 Evening Gown Competition.

Emerged as the Best in Long Gown for this group was Miss Guatemala, Stefany Miranda. Miss Thailand, Waratthaya Wongchayaporn won the 2nd place. And in 3rd place was Nina Fjalestad of Norway.

Meanwhile, the Group 2 went to The Lake Hotel Tagaytay in Tagaytay City. The winners in their group was Carolyn Whitney Carter (US Virgin Islands), Ilknur Melis Durası (Turkey) and Camilla Hansson (Sweden) winning the Gold, Silver and Bronze medals respectively.

And last but definitely not the least, the Group 1 who went to held their formal wear competition in Pangasinan. Doing well in the competition was Miss South Africa, Tamerin Jardine winning the Gold. In Silver was Tereza Fajksova from the Czech Republic. And Miss Philippines, Stephany Stefanowitz winning the Bronze medal.
