Scharllette Allen wins Miss Nicaragua 2010

A student of Tourism from Bluefields, Scharllette Allen was crowned the 10th Miss Nicaragua 2010 in a beauty pageant held at the Ruben Dario Theater in Managua on Feb. 27th. She was crowned by Miss Nicaragua 2009, Indiana Sanchez.

It is the first time in the history of Nicaragua that a black woman wins the coveted title. Allen was the major favorite during the weeks leading up to the final event.

Scharllette Allen was 18 years old and stands 1.80m tall. She will represent her country at the Miss Universe 2010 Contest in August.



Close to the title of Miss Nicaragua 2010 was the 1st run-up, Indira Rojas from Rivas. While the 2nd run-up was Claudia Trejos of Leon. Myriam Alejandra Cerda from Carazo and Bianca Martinez from Granada completed the top 5 finalists.
