Shanel Debattista (Malta) - Miss World 2009 Candidate
Miss Malta, Shanel Debattista is one of the 112 contestants of Miss World 2009 Beauty Pageant to be held on December 12 in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Shanel currently works as a sales executive in a new car showroom after qualifying with a marketing business diploma. Her passion in life is photography and she takes pictures almost everyday to capture special moments. She is an only child and has a very close family, with her grandparents living next door. She has fond memories of growing up in her hometown, Msida, where she remembers baby-sitting all of the neighbour’s children and learning to play guitar for the church choir. Her ambition in life is to run her own health and beauty salon and her personal motto is “Whatever doesn’t kill you makes you stronger”.
Debattista was crowned Miss World Malta 2009 at Montekristo.
