Alida Reyes will represent Guatemala at Miss World 2009

Alida Maria Boer Reyes was named to represent Guatemala in Miss World 2009 Pageant on December 12 to be held in Johannesburg, South Africa. She was appointed by Eventos S.A., National Directors of Miss World Guatemala Contest. The news are surprising since earlier this year Sonia Angelica Guevara Morfin was crowned Miss Mundo Guatemala 2009 in the national pageant. No reasons had been given for such change.

The new queen, Alida Reyes is 24 years old and stands 1.80m tall.
