Miss Universe 2009 Special Awards
Two Special awards are given to the deserving candidate during the Miss Universe 2009 Live Telecast.
Miss Congeniality which was voted by her fellow candidates was given to Miss China, Jing Yao Wang.
Miss Photogenic Award was chosen by the viewers and voted online. The people's choice for Miss Photogenic is Miss Thailand, Chutima Durongdej.
Before the live telecast, special awards are also given. Best in National Costume which is won by Miss Panama, Diana Patricia Broce.
Minor award Miss Universe 2009 River Race winner is Miss Guatemala, Lourdes Figueroa
Miss Universe 2009 Beauty Pageant was held on August 23 at Atlantis Paradise Island, Nassau, Bahamas.
