Stefania Fernandez, Miss Venezuela wins Miss Universe 2009
Back to back victory for Venezuela as Stefania Fernandez won the Miss Universe 2009 title for the 2nd consecutive time which is the 1st time in the history of the pageant.
Stefania was crowned by fellow Venezuelan Miss Universe 2008, Dayana Mendoza. Stefania take her first walk as the new Miss Universe wearing the Peace Crown of Diamond Nexxus Labs.
1st run-up to the title was also a crowd favorite, Miss Dominican Republic, Ada Aimee dela Cruz. She was also Miss World 2007 Finalist.
2nd run-up was Miss Kosovo, Marigona Dragusha. It's the 2nd time for Kosovo to join this year.
Miss Australia, Rachael Finch placed as 3rd run-up while in 4th run-up was Miss Puerto Rico, Mayra Matos Perez.
Miss Universe 2009 Beauty Pageant was held on August 23 at Atlantis Paradise Island, Nassau, Bahamas.
