Miss Sri Lanka wins Miss Talent at Miss Tourism Queen International 2009

Gayesha Perera, Miss Sri Lanka won the Miss Talent Award of Miss Tourism Queen International 2009 (MTQI 2009) Beauty Pageant where 40 candidates participated. The talent show was held on August 18 at Luohe, City. Gayesha Perera delivered a flawless and exciting national dance of her country.

2nd place went to Miss New Zealand, Natalie Sangster as she performs a Chicago Show.

Dancer Miss Zimbabwe, Happiness Tshuma came in 3rd place.

Miss Lithuania, Karolina Loceryte however, who sang with absolute perfection, seemed to be the favorite of a few judges. However, the judges were informed by mistake that she had lipsang, which made them not vote for her.

The unhappy incident caused great discomfort among the Lithuanian delegation, press, and even among contestants, who thought she deserved to win.

“I can sing for you now”, said a very upset Miss Lithuania at the hotel lobby, right after the show. “It’s so unfair, of course I was singing, I can’t believe the judges were told I was lipsinging”, she said.
