Nicole Flint was crowned Miss South Africa 2009
The Miss South Africa 2009 Beauty Pageant was held on December 13 at the Sun City Superbowl. 21 year old radio station employee, Nicole Flint won the coveted crown.
Nicole Flint is from Pretoria and a personal assistant to Jacaranda FM's Darren Scott. She was entering the pageant for the first time. She is hoping to study towards a diploma in journalism and further her career in the media industry. The first-year apprentice for Jacaranda said she would leave the station and pursue the Miss SA challenge: "I have told the Jacaranda crew that if I win I will have to leave them to start with my new journey with Sun International."
The new beauty queen will represent her country at the Miss Universe 2010 Contest and in Miss World 2010 in Vietnam.
1st run-up to the Miss South Africa 2009 Pageant is Matapa Maila while the 2nd run-up is Lisa van Zyl.
The prestigious 52nd Miss SA 2009 was attended by former title holders such as Claudi Henkel, Kerishnee Naiker, Megan Coleman, Thuli Sithole, Cindy Nell and celebrities such as Dr Precious Moloi-Motsepe, Mr SA Stephen Segal and Generations actress Sonia Sedibe.
