Sports Fast Track of Miss World 2008

Almost all 109 contestants spent the day to participate in the Miss World 2008 Sports Fast Track. The delegates were split into four groups to compete in teams called the Ekurhuleni Buffalos, Jo`burg Leopards, Tshwane Rhinos and the Sedibeng Lions.

First part of the competition started with each team building a boat made using cardboard and plastic sheets. Other activities included a 50-metre sprint, and cricket. Each contestant`s performance was individually recorded to identify the day`s best competitor.

At the end of the day, the top six contestants battled it out in front of the goal, each taking six penalty kicks. The six strongest delegates are Miss Greece (Angeliki Kalaitzi), Miss Israel (Tamar Ziskind), Miss Iceland (Alexandra Ivarsdottir), Miss Nigeria (Adaeze Igwe), Miss Portugal (Andreia Rodrigues) and Miss Peru (Annmarie Dehainaut).

After the individual scores are added together, the top three were announced. In first place was Miss Iceland, Alexandra Ivarsdottir who really stood out the most by scoring all six from the spot.
