Miss New Zealand 2009 is Katie Taylor

Last April 25, Katie Taylor won the title of Miss New Zealand 2009 Beauty Pageant. She will be the representative of New Zealand at the Miss Universe 2009 Contest on August 23 to be held in Nassau, Bahamas.

Katie is 22 years old and stands 5'9" tall. She graduated from University of Auckland with a Bachelor of Property. Katie now works as a construction project manager. Her interests include flying, reading, cooking and travel. Katie's ambition is to present a TV series on the importance of sustainable "green" housing and buildings.

Placed as the 1st run-up was Priyani Puketapu while Anthea Stembridge finished as 2nd run-up.

The new winner will represent her country at the Miss Universe 2009 Beauty Pageant on August 23 to be held at the beautiful Paradise Island, Nassau, Bahamas.

Miss Guatemala 2009 (Miss Guatemala Universo 2009) will be held on May 25. Jennifer Chiong, Miss Guatemala 2008 will crown her successor during the final event. The winner will be representing Guatemala at Miss Universe 2009 to be held in Nassau, Bahamas on August 23. First runner-up will compete at the Miss World 2009 contest in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Celebrating it's 35th anniversary, Miss Bikini International 2009 Beauty Contest will be held in the beautiful island of Sanya Hainan Province, China on May 30 at 8:00pm and will be televised live to more than 600 million people.

72 lovely delegates from different nations will participate in this annual event. Pageant tour includes Great Wall of China, the Forbidden City, Tian An Men Square, and the Beijing 2008 Olympic Stadium prior to the island of Sanya where the final event will be held. Katherine Anez, Miss Bikini International 2007 from Venezuela will crown her successor.
