Russia crowned Miss Tourism World 2012
The Miss Tourism World 2012 Grand Finale took place at Siam Niramit Theatre in Bangkok, Thailand last December 16 where 58 international beauties around the world competed.
The gorgeous Tatyana Maksimova, 23, from Russia emerged as the over all winner, followed closely by the 1st run-up Purvaa Rana of India, and 2nd run-up Nadine Abdel Aziz from Lebanon.
Thailand's Sasima Surasabbmanee was awarded Miss Press while Gulnara Birzhanova from Kazakhstan won Miss Photogenic.
As the new Miss Tourism World 2012, Tatyana receives a diamond tiara with sash and rewards valued at more than one million five hundred thousand Baht. She will also serve as goodwill ambassador and spokesperson for the Tourism World Organization and work with the organization in promoting tourism around the world.
The event was hosted almost entirely in English by Ms. Liza Sadler and Mr. Pat Jungkankul, and was broadcast on Channel 7 and relayed by satellite to a global audience in more than 50 countries via broadcasters such as Fashion TV, Star World, E! Entertainment and Sky TV.
