Miss World University 2011 is Katie Farr, Ms. England
23 year old Miss England, Katie Farr was crowned as the 23rd World Miss University 2011 in a pageant held at the Sheraton Walkerhill Hotel in Seoul on December 12. She was crowned by Eun Ju Cho, Miss World University 2010 winner.
Miss Poland, Katarzyna Kuziemsk was named as the 1st run-up. She is 21 years of age and a public health student at Zarzadzania University.
And the 25 year old Miss Korea, Choi Jung-hwa was the 2nd run-up. She is a international relations graduate student at Yonsei University.
The pageant was sponsored by Chosun Biz, a business media website in the Chosun Media Group and others. The Chosun Biz award was given to an outstanding student of economics or business went to Miss France, Mathilde Florin, a 21-year-old student at University of Lille III.
The pageant commemorates the 1986 International Year of Peace. The contestants stayed together for 13 days and engaged in various volunteer activities. They also had time to experience traditional Korean culture, including a visit to Korea House in Namsan, central Seoul, to make bibimbap or rice with an assortment of vegetables and beef.
