BIO:
I want to live my life knowing that when I pass, people will remember me as one who had made a difference in the world.

Describe your childhood when you were growing up from 8 to 13 years old.

My parents divorced when I was one years old. For a long time I was living in an unstable environment. It was a difficult time in my life. Later, my mom met my step dad who still to this day is a great supporter and father figure. He encourages me to not be afraid of life and to follow my dreams. He is my hope and inspiration.

What lessons did you learn from your childhood/growing years?

I have learned to accept family values. Growing up, I have experienced the differences between myself and others and have learned that if I don't value my family's values, then I don't gain anything. I believe in this because a strong family is one that holds a firm bond with its members. They nourish and sustain them throughout the span of that family. The adults reach out to their children and become that responsible role model. This is where my advocacy ties in to planting the seed of hope, peace, and intellect into the minds of the children, so that they too can grow to become responsible individuals.

What is your most memorable moment?

My most memorable moment would be coronation night. It was also the night I was crowned Miss Earth Guam at age seventeen. It was a huge accomplishment, especially for someone my age. Winning that title inspires me to go after all my endeavors and to be a better person. It makes me feel so good to know that I can use my title to reach out to more people and share the values of life. Miss Earth is a prominent title and I am so humbled to have won it.

What is your environmental advocacy?

Knowledge truly is power. In all the areas of life and in general, those who have knowledge will succeed in those areas, while those have little knowledge are the ones who will be left powerless. In that case, my environmental advocacy is to plant the seed of peace, harmony, and intellect within everyone, particularly our youth and help it grow, as I do believe the children are our future. I will implement this by educating the youth at my country's local libraries, bookstores, and schools. This will enable them to become more aware of their actions towards the environment and take into consideration what Mother Earth has to offer. Knowledge is the key to all our endeavors in life.
