BIO:
Hi, my name is Anika Maikoo and I am 18 years old. I study at Auckland University doing a bachelor of science with Psychology. In my spare time I love to play hockey and go out with my friends, and when I get time I like to travel with my family. I have a good sense of humour as I laugh at pretty much anything and I have a bubbly personality.
I was born in New Zealand. I am proud to be half Scottish and half South African Indian.
My personal goal is to become a psychologist where I can own a practice and help children and families that have problems at home. I also like to donate to charities such as WWF and children's cancer societies, and I have adopted my own Hector's dolphin.
I am here to gain more confidence and to spread awareness of our environment and how the world is being affected by pollution today. I am very grateful to be participating in the Miss Earth New Zealand pageant.
