Miss Chinese Philippines 2010 winner is Samatha Jade Ong Dy

Samatha Jade Ong Dy was crowned as the new Miss Chinese Philippines 2010 on August 4 during a formal ceremony held at the Golden Bay Restaurant located in Macapagal Avenue, Pasay City.

Twenty year old, tall and graceful Samatha Jade Ong Dy was chosen from more than one hundred applicants who send their applications thru email. The organizers of the pageant singled out Samantha for her charm and wit plus her regal bearing and her being experienced in the local modelling circuit.

Samantha is the eldest daughter of Mayor Jackson Dy of Orriental Mindoro and the former Sandra Ong. Currently she's taking up Fashion Design at DLSU - College of St. Benilde in Taft Ave., Manila.

She's scheduled to fly on September 5 to compete in the Miss Chinese International Beauty Pageant in Tianjin, China in time for the Mid Autum Festival. The finals will be on september 25, 2010.

Miss Chinese Philippines is a joint project of The Rotary of Manila Chinatown and Philippines-Singaopre Association. Over all Creative Director is Mr. Michael Sy Lim who is also an event and pageant organizer here in the Philippines.
