Maxime Calington | Miss Universe Sweden 2010 Delegate
The annual Miss Universe Sweden pageant is a national competition to select the country's representative to the Miss Universe contest and was directed by Joakim Granberg of the Starworld Entertainment Corporation. The very first edition took place on on June 6, 2009, the National Day of Sweden and among it's panel of celebrity judges was Yvonne Ryding, Miss Universe of 1984.
Each year, three winners and two runners up are crowned. The Miss Universe Sweden competes in Miss Universe, The Miss Earth Sweden enters Miss Earth, and the Miss International Sweden goes to represent Miss International.
Miss Universe Sweden 2009, Renate Cerljen crowned the winner in it's 2010 year and represented the country in Miss Universe 2010 pageant on August 23 held in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
