BIO:
FAVORITE THINGS ABOUT MY HOMETOWN/COUNTRY:
One of my favorite aspects about The Bahamas is the laid back atmosphere. The true spirit and essence of The Bahamas, is the fact that everyone is so friendly and we welcome people from all over the world. The beautiful beaches, the unique cuisine, and rich culture is what really set the Bahamas apart from the rest of the caribbean islands. I really feel like everyone is family when I come home to The Bahamas.

LIFE'S AMBITITIONS:
My life ambition is to remain humble, while achieving a healthy balance between my work and personal life. I want to reach a point where I can have a successful career and still dedicate enough time to have a family because both are very important to me.

HOBBIES:
My hobbies are dancing, exercising (especially spinning and Pilates), photography, reading, going to the beach with friends, and traveling.

MY GOALS IN LIFE:
In five years I will have obtained my masters degree in Communication Studies. I plan on having a career in television as a news anchorwoman and also preparing to start a family.

MY BEST ASSET IS:
My ability to embrace change. The combination of my careers as a student, model, and business owner can sometimes be hectic, however I enjoy the ever-changing schedule, because it creates challenges that I must overcome on a daily basis. My ability to conquer these challenges allows be to embrace the change that comes with each one.

MY DAILY PHILOSOPHY IS:
I am a firm believer in self improvement, and although I give my best day after day, there is always room to mature. By reflecting on what I have done in the past I can come up with techniques on how to deal with the issues that will be presented to me in a new encounter. In life there are times when one does not hit the mark, but with hard work, and dedication I will excel and succeed.

THE MOVIE (AND/OR BOOK) THAT MOST INFLUENCED MY LIFE:
“The Color Purple” by Alice Walker. This book (and movie) explores the relationship of sisters “Celie” and “Nettie” who were separated at a young age in the early 20th century in the American South. They were reunited as elderly individuals with significantly different upbringings. Aside from dealing with issues of race and class, it focuses on the unique nature of family bonds; this factor resonates with me the most because of the strong relationship I have with my mother who has been an integral part of my development as well as a wonderful support system.

WHO I WOULD LIKE TO MEET AND WHY
I would love to meet Michelle Obama. I feel that she has achieved the balance between work and family life that I someday hope to attain. Before her husband was elected President of the United States, she was earning a 6 figure income in a male dominated field, while still raising a family. Michelle Obama is such an inspiration to me. She is the epitome of what a first lady should be and holds the title with style, class, and grace.

I AM MOTIVATED BY:
My family has always been an influential support system; they have stood by me and provided unconditional support in my daily endeavors. Growing up I was instilled with core values that enabled me to be motivated by a higher being. It is because of their unconditional support and my faith, I can proudly state that I am the person I have become; a woman of integrity, loyalty, and kindness.

WHAT I WOULD LIKE THE JUDGES TO KNOW ABOUT ME IS:
I’ve always been a determined person and I am very self motivated. My strong personality and work ethic help me to excel in all areas of my life. If chosen as Miss Bahamas, it would be an honor and an absolute pleasure to represent this beautiful country at Miss Universe and Miss World. I would be fulfilling one of my life long dreams while serving my community.
