FAVORITE THINGS ABOUT MY HOMETOWN/COUNTRY:
Born and raised in the capital city of Nassau on the island of New Providence, I celebrate the beauty of The Bahamas. I am soothed by the cool sea breeze and beautiful beaches that surround the island. When I think about my country, I must first and foremost acknowledge our native dishes, I love to eat! While relaxing I enjoy tropical fruits such as mangos, sugar apples, sapodillas or “dilly” and guavas. One of my favorite seafoods is the conch. I enjoy my conch boiled, steamed, fried or grilled. Conch Fritters and Scorched Conch are also on the top of my list. One of my favorite Bahamian drinks “switcha” is our own version of lemonade. Another aspect of The Bahamas I enjoy is its vibrant culture. The Junkanoo parade is one that highlights our Bahamian Roots incorporating magical music along with the astounding talent displayed in the costumes. Lastly, I admire the historical sites of Nassau that continue to play a vital role in our social development. Places such as Fort Charlotte, Fort Montague and The Caves are enjoyed by locals and tourist alike.
LIFE'S AMBITITIONS:
I always strive for excellence in all that I do. I always strive to be professional, courteous, giving, and focused, while putting God first, because with Him all things are possible. One of my biggest obstacles has been my triumph over scoliosis. A congenital disorder, scoliosis affects hundreds of families each year. I will always continue to educate and empower young people with disabilities as a volunteer and advocate for patients right.

HOBBIES:
I enjoy horse back riding, collecting buttons, reading and modeling.
MY GOALS IN LIFE:
I hope to maintain my healthy life style of exercise and eating right. I will continue to maintain a positive outlook on life and set the bar higher everyday. I envision myself completing a degree in business management. My goal is to become a successful entrepreneur while balancing career with marriage, motherhood and family.
MY BEST ASSET IS:
My best asset is my personality. My positive outlook is infectious. Through my smile or a kind word I try to positively impact the lives of those around me.
MY DAILY PHILOSOPHY IS:
It is your attitude not your aptitude that determines your altitude or how high you can go.

The book, The Power of Positive Thinking by Norman Vincent Peale has most influenced my life because it has taught me self-motivation and to keep God as the center of my Life.
WHO I WOULD LIKE TO MEET AND WHY:
I would love to meet Tyler Perry. I am impressed by his achievement of going from being homeless to becoming one of the most successful black writers and film producers. His films are inspiring.
I AM MOTIVATED BY:
I am motivated by those who expect failure. This drives me to work harder and to push towards achieving my goals. I expect the best and only the best.
WHAT I WOULD LIKE THE JUDGES TO KNOW ABOUT ME IS:
I am a caring, driven and determined individual. At the age of 22, I started my career as the youngest successful manager in the company. Through customer service, hard work and reliability I serve as an ambassador not only for my company but for my country as well. I am confident that I am capable of successfully representing my country as the next Miss Bahamas 2010. It is your attitude not your aptitude that determines your altitude or how high you can go.
