Iluminata James was crowned Miss Universe Tanzania 2009

Iluminata James was named as the new Miss Tanzania 2009 in a live event held at the Mlimani Conference Centre in Dar-es-Salaam where 20 gorgeous ladies vie for the coveted crown. She was crowned by Amanda Sululu. Iluminata will be representing her country at the Miss Universe 2009 Pageant on August 23 to be held in the beautiful islands of Nassau, Bahamas.

The first run-up was Evelyn Almasi, while Hidaya Maeda emerged as the second run-up.
