Meet Miss Universe Sweden 2012 Finalists

The annual Miss Universe Sweden pageant will take it's finals on August 26, 2012 at the Cafe Opera in Stockholm where the reigning queen, Ronnia Fornstedt (photo above) will take her final walk and crown her successor on the said event.

The pageant will be hosted by Former Froken Sverige 1996, Annika Duckmark and popular Swedish musician and singer Christer Sandelin.

Event guest artists invited to perform are Andreas Lindh, Samir di Johansson, Jenny Redenkvist and DJ Crush.

On the end of the event, whoever proclaimed as winners will be sent to represent Sweden on this year's Miss Universe, Miss International and Miss Earth beauty competitions.

Miss World 2012 is CHINA, Wen Xia Yu!

A music student who dreams to become a music teacher someday, meet the 23 year Wen Xia Yu from China, the winner of Miss World 2012 pageant which was held last August 18 at the Dongsheng Fitness Center Stadium in Ordos, Inner Mongolia in the People's Republic of China. She was crowned by the outgoing queen, Ivian Sarcos of Venezuela.

Yu stands 5'9.5" tall and will spend her year-long reign living in London, working for charitable causes and fulfilling her duties as the new Miss World.

Wen Xia is the second titleholder from China and both of them was crowned in their home country. The first one was in 2007 with the winning of Zilin Zhang.

Run-up to Miss World was Miss Wales, Sophie Moulds. And the second princess was Miss Australia, Jessica Kahawaty.

The top 7 finalists were: Brazil, Mariana Notarangelo; Jamaica, Deanna Robins; South Sudan, Atong Demach; And India, Vanya Mishra.

Completing the top 15 semi-finalists are: Spain, Aranzazu Estevez; Netherlands, Nathalie Den Dekker; England, Charlotte Holmes; Mexico, Mariana Berumen; Usa, Claudine Book; Philippines, Queenierich Rehman; Indonesia, Ines Putri; And Kenya, Shamin Nabil.

The winners of the challenge event are also announced during that night. And they are:

Miss World 2012 Beauty with a Purpose

Perhaps the most relevant or important challenge event of the Miss World 2012 pageant was the Beauty with a Purpose event where each participating delegate have to make a video project of their own charitable work and advocacy in their respective countries. It is the official slogan of the MWO since 1980 which added tests of the individual intelligence and personality of a candidate.

This year among the 117 beauties, the panel of judges have selected the TOP 10 BEAUTY w/ a PURPOSE NOMINEES. The winner will be announced during the live telecast on August 18.

Miss Mundo Colombia to Miss Colombia International 2013

Formerly known as Miss Mundo Colombia beauty pageant, now changed it's name to Miss Colombia International was scheduled last August 10, 2012 in Bogota where Señorita Valle, Daniella Ocoro Mejia won the sought after crown. Last year's winner Barbara Turbay was currently in Ordos, Mongolia competing in Miss World 2012, didn't have the opportunity to crown her successor.

Finished as the 1st run-up was Señorita Antioquia, Melissa Velasquez Moncada. While the 2nd run-up was Shary Rosa Vellojin, Señorita Cundinamarca.

22 year old Daniella stands 1.72m tall and presently studying Architecture. She will represent her country in Miss World 2013 to be held in Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park, Nusa Dua in Bali, Indonesia next September 2013.

Miss World 2012 Presenters / Hosts

The Miss World 2012 beauty pageant will take place on August 18 in Ordos, Mongolia where 117 of the world's most beautiful women gather and compete for the coveted crown.

Hosting this year's event was returning back from last year's Jason Cook together with the beautiful and multi-talented Myleene Klass.

Born Myleene Angela Klass is an English singer, pianist, media personality and model. After graduating, she spent a short period as part of a reality show for Bravo, called The Dolls House. She sang backing vocals for Cliff Richard, and made her West End theatre debut in Miss Saigon. She auditioned for the ITV reality show Popstars, where the contestants will have an opportunity to become part of a newly formed British pop band named Hear’Say.

31 year old actor Jason is also a great screenwriter, film director and film producer. He was best known for the soap opera television portraying the roles of Shawn-Douglas Brady on Days of our Lives from 1999 to 2006, and of Matt Hunter on General Hospital from 2008 to 2012. During the peek of his career, Cook turned his attention to writing and directing films, making the indie film Social Security Guard, starring his current General Hospital co-star John Ingle. He left the show to pursue production full time on Numb To Life.
