Candidates of Manila's 5 Prettiest 2012

The return of Manila's 5 Prettiest 2012 pageant in it's 2nd consecutive year was scheduled to take the grand coronation night on June 23 at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC).

Manila's Five Prettiest contest is open for all transsexual/ transgender Filipino woman around the country and even abroad. It was founded in the early 90's by the late gay icon in the Philippines, Jun Encarnacion.

This year's competition would never be as exciting as former winners will gather specially the presence of the reigning queens: Rain Marie Madrigal, Michelle Binas, Matrica Mae Centino, Channa Mendis and Trixie Maristela.

Miss Curacao World 2012 Crowned

Stephanie Rose Chang was crowned by last year's winner Monifa Jansen as the newest Miss Curacao World 2012.

The 20 year old university student from Willemstad will be the official representative of the Caribbean island in Miss World 2012 beauty pageant to be held in Dongsheng Fitness Center Stadium in Ordos, Inner Mongolia, China this coming August 18.

Asta Jakumaite wins Miss Lithuania International 2012

Last June 9 at the Shakespeare Hotel in Vilnius, 8 stunning women competed for the title of Miss International Lithuania 2012 pageant.

The gorgeous 20 year old Asta Jakumaite was elected as the new winner. She stands 1.75m tall, a student and model from Vilnius. She will compete in behalf of her country in Miss International 2012 in Okinawa, Japan.

Serbian representative to Miss World 2012

20 year old Bojana Lecic was assigned to represent Serbia in Miss World 2012 to be held in Dongsheng Fitness Center Stadium, Ordos, Inner Mongolia, China on August 18, celebrating it's 62nd year.

The handpicked decision was made due to date shift of Miss World pageant. The annual Miss Srbije 2012 finals will take place in September, where the winner will compete in Miss World next year and Miss Universe 2012 on December.

Miss Hawaii 2012 is Skyler Kamaka (Miss Diamond Head)

21 year old Skyler Kamaka representing Diamond Head won the coveted title of Miss Hawaii 2012 celebrating it's 66th year of scholarship pageantry. Crowning her was Miss Hawaii 2011, Lauren Cheape.

The event was hosted by Bill “Billy V” Van Osdol which took place last June 9 at the Hawaii Convention Center.

“This is the first time I’ve ever entered a pageant, My preliminary pageant (for Miss Diamond Head) was my very first one, and this is my very first Miss Hawaii. I’m just ecstatic right now.” the new beauty queen emotionally speech after receiving the crown.

Skyler also won the Golf Tournament Scholarship and tied with Miss Ala Moana Courtney Kielemaikalani Gaddis for most ticket sales (both women received full sets of prizes for the tie). Gaddis won the scholarship for community service.

Miss Kahala, Moani Hara was finished as 1st run-up and winner of the swimsuit competition. The 2nd run-up spot went to Miss East Oahu, Serena Karnagy. Miss Latina Hawaii, Joleen Iwaniec was 3rd run-up and winner of the talent contest. And lastly, Miss Waikiki, Sarah Correia was finishing as 4th run-up.

Miss Kauai, Lei U‘i Kaholokula voted by her peers as Miss Congeniality. Miss Chinatown Hawaii, Nicky Leong awarded as Miss Photogenic. Miss Honolulu, Carissa Kano received the scholarship for highest academic achievement and Miss Aloha Hawaii, Brandy Shibuya was the recipient of the Children’s Miracle Network Miracle Maker trophy.

As the new titleholder, besides her other duties and responsibilities, the most rewarding prize Skyler will be the official delegate of her Aloha state in Miss America 2013 next year.

Miss Supranational Pakistan 2012 is Bakhtawar Shah

20 year old Bakhtawar Shah from Peshawar was crowned Miss Supranational Pakistan 2012 title held during a private casting at the office of Best Model agency where 5 candidates participated.

A group of judges consists of professionals such as filmmaker Anjum Chandna, fashion photographer Farhan J. Ansari and fashion designer Owais Mehboob.

Standing 5'7" tall and works as a professional model and student of journalism, Bakhtawar will represent her country for the 1st time competing in Miss Supranational 2012 later this year in Poland.

Shah's experiences in modeling includes Veet Supermodel Pakistan competition, Karachi Fashion Week 2012, Pakistan Fashion Week 2012, Peshawar Fashion Week 2011 and Bridal Couture week 2011.

Alicia Clifton wins Miss Oklahoma 2012

Miss Oklahoma 2012 beauty pageant took place on June 9 at the Mabee Center. The stunning Alicia Clifton representing Edmond LibertyFest was crowned as the new winner. She was also won 3rd place in the Kiwanis community service competition and one of the talent awards.

Alicia competed last year and placed 2nd run-up. She's currently studies in University of Oklahoma junior. As part of her prize package, she will receive $16,000 scholarship and will represent her state in Miss America 2013 next year.

Close to the title was the 1st run-up Damaris Pierce (Oklahoma State Fair). 2nd run-up went to Veronica Wisniewski (Frontier Country). Finished as 3rd run-up was Megan Johnson (Eastern Oklahoma County). And finally, 4th run-up was Sarah Klein (Tulsa).

This year marks the 40th anniversary of the Kiwanis Club sponsoring the pageant, which awards $2 million worth of scholarships every year.

Guatemala wins Miss America Latina del Mundo 2012

24 year old Miss Guatemala, Georgina Pimentel was crowned the newest Miss Latin America of the World 2012 (Miss America Latina del Mundo) during a fabulous pageant held in the Monte Alban Theatre, Mexico last June 9 where 30 international beauties from their Latin communities competed.

Sara Silveira of Portugal placed as 1st run-up. The delegate from Puerto Rico was 2nd run-up. Belen Sogliano of Uruguay is the 3rd run-up. And finally, Miss Colombia placed as 4th run-up.

A Szepsegkiralyno 2012 Winners

20 year old Tamara Cserhati received the title of Miss World Hungary during the A Szepsegkiralyno 2012 pageant held at the TV2 studios in Budapest.

Tamara stands 1.68m tall and will compete in Miss World 2012 beauty pageant to be held on August 18 in Dongsheng Fitness Center Stadium in Ordos, Inner Mongolia, China.


Meanwhile, the 1st run-up place and also crowned Miss Universe Hungary was 24 year old Agnes Konkoly. She stands 1.72m tall and she will enter the Miss Universe 2012 contest on December.

Alexandra Kocsis ended the 2nd run-up position and crowned as Miss Earth Hungary. She will go to Indonesia on October for Miss Earth 2012 competition.

Winnie Sin wins Miss Macau 2012

Miss Macau 2012 was held during a private casting at the MGM Hotel last June 3 where 8 gorgeous former candidates attended. Local celebrities such as photographers and socialites were invited to cast their votes based on facial beauty, catwalk and public speaking skills.

25 year old Winnie Sin eventually won the title of Miss Macau 2012. She is currently a TV Sports Commentator and a classic ballerina. As the new winner, Winnie will represent her country in Miss World 2012 beauty pageant on August 18 in Dongsheng Fitness Center Stadium in Ordos, Inner Mongolia, China.

Sin stands 170cm tall and competed in Miss International 2011. She was a former synchronized swimmer and used to participate in numerous international sports competition such as the Asian Games as a national team member. She hopes to become an influential public servant and to be able to dedicate fully to her nation.

Nicaragua's bet to Miss World 2012

Denis Davila, Nicaragua's national director handpicked Lauren Lawson to be the country's official representative to the upcoming Miss World 2012 beauty pageant to be held on August 18 in Dongsheng Fitness Center Stadium in Ordos, Inner Mongolia in China.

24 year old beauty from Granada is the 1st run-up in Miss Nicaragua Universe 2011. She currently works as a nurse and model.

Ambassadress of Dominican Republic to Miss World 2012

Sally Aponte Tejada was handpicked as Dominican Republic's official delegate to Miss World 2012 to be held in Ordos, Inner Mongolia in China on August 18.

20 year old Sally from Salcedo stands 177cm tall and currently a student of communications. She replaced Jenny Blanco who originally represent the country but got disqualified due to age limit as she was 27 years of age (MW age requirement is 18-25 years old).

Aponte was the reigning Miss Supranational Dominican Republic 2012 and supposed to compete in Poland.

Renae Ayris wins 2012 Miss Universe Australia

From the lands down under, the new Miss Universe Australia 2012 winner was the stunning Renae Ayris from Perth. She was crowned by last year's winner Scherri-Lee Biggs during a glamorous beauty pageant held at the Grand Ballroom of the Sofitel Melbourne in Collins, Melbourne last June 8.

During the final interview round, Renae answered a controversial question from former news personality Naomi Robson asking about her opinion on gay marriage.

Ayris replyed: "I believe that everyone should have equal rights whether it be marriage or any other factor. Everyone has their own opinion and if it doesn't infringe on anyone else's rights then I think it's a great thing. If they are in love, then they should celebrate their love and if that means marriage, then they should get married because it's amazing." And that where she received wonderful response from the crowd.

Among the panel of celebrity judges includes actress and model Annalise Braakensiek, actor Vince Collosimo and fashion designer Wayne Cooper.

Declared as the 1st run-up was Mary Vitinaros and 2nd run-up was Amy Fromm.

As the new beauty queen, Renae will take home $30,000 Temelli Jewellery crown and will have the right to represent the country in Miss Universe 2012 on December.
