DESCRIBE YOUR CHILDHOOD/GROWING YEARS (8-13 Years old)
I was enrolled in a Catholic school since our family moved from Indonesia. My eyes were open to reality at an early age. Our school promotes a bundle drive each year where we, students, get to participate through donating old clothes, rice, canned goods, and toiletries to unfortunate families in our city. Every Christmas holiday we give all the materials we have collected to distribute them. I personally can see in their eyes how thankful and happy they were to have us. They've always welcomed us with warm smiles. I do believe that it's important for each one of us to give back all the blessings we receive through charity work. Through this, we could be effective instruments of God's love.

WHAT LESSONS DID YOU LEARN FROM YOUR CHILDHOOD/GROWING YEARS?
My brother and I grew up under the guidance of our grandparents in the Philippines. They are devoted Catholics – serving in our parochial. Whenever I feel down, they've always told me that prayers answer all. God gave us trials and tribulations to make us stronger. They've also taught me to always love my family especially my father and my brother. I remember a quote that my grandfather shared with me that, until now I always put into perspective: When life gives you a hundred reasons to cry, you show life that you have a thousand reasons to smile.

WHAT IS YOUR MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT?
My most memorable moment would have to be the time when I was crowned as Binibining Pasayahan (Binibining Lucena) in 2010. That was the time when I became a household name in our city. I had the great opportunity to promote Lucena City during my reign through advertisement and television. I am able to see the showcased talents and cultures of the Lucenahins. At the same time, the Pasayahan festival promotes tourism, which is important in the economic development of our country. And that, I conclude, are one of the many of the reasons why we must be proud of Lucena City.

WHAT IS THE MOST UNUSUAL THING YOU'VE EVER DONE?
For the last couple of years, our household has been participating in the annual campaign of the World Wildlife Fund – "The Earth Hour." Partaking in the campaign itself already shows partnership among the people. Together, we make a stand. If we can sow goodness in our community, we can sow goodness in Mother Nature as well.

WHAT IS YOUR AMBITION IN LIFE?
Whenever I think of my ambition in life, I think about the good of others. Other than taking home a title and a crown, the main reason why I join pageants is because I want to be an effective role model to my fellow youth. I want to inspire others through sharing my stories; that life itself has lots of wonderful things to offer. And at the same time, through this, I am able to experience how beautiful life could be through helping others.

WHAT IS YOUR ENVIRONMENTAL ADVOCACY AND WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THIS?
Since I live in Quezon Province, my environmental advocacy lies in the protection of the Philippine forests. I believe that trees are the symbols of both hope and life. Trees help alleviate man-made disasters including flood, landslides, and pollution. We must encourage others to plant one tree at a time. And now I would like to give all of you a piece of advice: Remember that the little things we save and preserve today would a big help for Mother Nature tomorrow.

WHAT TIP CAN YOU SHARE TO PROMOTE SUSTAINABLE ENERGY FOR ALL?
Did you know that there is only a 3% need of the global investment in the energy sector by the next two decades to achieve energy access for all? United Nations declared 2012 as the year for Sustainable Energy. We must work hand in hand to promote and to educate the importance of Renewable Energy – solar, wind, and biomass – to mitigate climate change, combat global warming, and reduce pollution. We all must be able to wake up one day and realize that every one of us deserves light.

My most memorable moment is when I joined the highest and biggest pageant in Bicol, which is Miss Bicolandia 2007.I was 17 years old then and I landed as 3rd runner-up together with Miss Venus Raj as 2nd runner-up. Thanks to God!

WHAT IS YOUR AMBITION IN LIFE?
My ambition in life is to be a successful career woman in the future. Of course I want to have a happy life, a loving husband, kids and a stable job.

We live in a very crucial time when choices must be made, choices involving our lifestyles, attitude and commitment. If we persist in continuing our dominating ways then we could destroy the resource base on which life depends. But if we choose to care for the earth, nurture it and live in harmony with it then we may be able to save the earth for our children and for our children's children. Let's make our environment green again.

WHAT TIP CAN YOU SHARE TO PROMOTE SUSTAINABLE ENERGY FOR ALL?
Let's all keep in mind that sustainable energy is something that the generations to come can still use without causing harmful repercussions.

DESCRIBE YOUR CHILDHOOD/GROWING YEARS (8-13 Years old)
I am very blessed to have a loving parents who have worked so hard to get the life they've been dreaming of. I was very creative & active when I was a child. I loved to draw and my parents enrolled me in various lessons, such as voice & piano.

WHAT LESSONS DID YOU LEARN FROM YOUR CHILDHOOD/GROWING YEARS?
The most important lesson that I've learned from my childhood was to trust God no matter what. My sister passed away when I was 9 and my family & I were very devastated. However, we offered our burden & pain to God because we knew that God always has good intentions and that He always has a plan for us.

WHAT IS YOUR MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT?
My most memorable moment was when I joined my very first pageant and won. That pageant changed my outlook in life. I used to be a shy & timid girl with very little confidence in herself. That pageant gave me the courage & conviction to pursue the person I dreamed of becoming: a more confident woman.

WHAT IS THE MOST UNUSUAL THING YOU'VE EVER DONE?
The most unusual thing that I've ever done would was something I did when I was a child. I used to hug a tree whenever nature was calling me.

WHAT IS YOUR AMBITION IN LIFE?
My ambition in life is to follow the footsteps of my parents. They have always been my inspiration in pursuing my dreams. They started from nothing but due to their hard work, my brother & I now have a brighter future ahead of us. Like them, I want to become a hardworking, disciplined and strong woman.

WHAT TIP CAN YOU SHARE TO PROMOTE SUSTAINABLE ENERGY FOR ALL?
I believe we should all start from our community and impart to them our knowledge about conserving energy. This way, they will be aware of how to save energy.

DESCRIBE YOUR CHILDHOOD/GROWING YEARS (8-13 Years old)
When I was young and living in America, I would always see my parents and grandparents preparing balikbayan boxes to send back home to the Philippines for our family. My parents came from difficult, humble conditions of living, but they knew that they had to fight and earn not just to provide for themselves, but also to help others. And it didn't stem from the mentality of it being a chore or an obligation to the rest of the family. The motivation that empowered them to work so hard was founded on love — love for their family because seeing one's family struggle can break one's heart. I am now more aware of how incredible a blessing it was for my grandparents and parents to have the opportunity to come to America so that they could earn an honest living by working diligently and help out the rest of our family and friends here. They never forgot their roots, their culture, or where they came from. They haven't forgotten who they are, which is 100% Filipino. They understood the importance of giving back -- not just taking and receiving or leaving and forgetting. I believe now I am at that stage in life where it is my turn to allow God to use me as a tool. It is my turn to give back, not only to my family, but to my people and the country that defines my cultural identity.

WHAT LESSONS DID YOU LEARN FROM YOUR CHILDHOOD/GROWING YEARS?
One of the biggest lessons I have learned from my adolescent years is to be fearless -- especially fearless of failure. As a child, I always possessed a fighting spirit. I always strived to be the best that I could be at anything I did, especially when it came to academics. I was a perfectionist. However, my weakness was my colossal fear of failure. There were endeavors that I wished to pursue and things that I wanted to try when I was younger, but the fear of failure inhibited me from trying. So, for a while, I decided to remain in my comfort zone doing things in which I knew I excelled. Eventually, I became tired of allowing this fear to paralyze me. I realized that I wasn't growing as a person. There was a bigger picture that I had to consider -- either I selfishly stay in my comfort zone because of my anxiety and allow my talents to go to waste, or I take the risk to leap and allow God to use me as a tool with whatever mission He may have in store for me. So now I don't look at failures the same anymore. They are not the end of the world. They are more like lessons to be learned. They have made me a stronger, wiser, and more humble individual that others will be able to relate to. The failures and struggles I have experienced are the cement that solidifies my backbone. Under no circumstances will I be broken.

WHAT IS YOUR MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT?
My most memorable moment in life dates back to 1998 when I was 8 years old. I woke up in the morning and got ready for school. As I was eating breakfast in the kitchen, the phone rang. My dad answered and it was my uncle. In that moment, the atmosphere became quiet and solemn. I sensed a coldness in the air, but I continued to eat my cereal anyway, pretending not to notice. When my dad hung up the phone, he told me that my 19-year-old cousin was fatally shot. Right then and there my heart broke into a million pieces and my world stopped for a moment. I suppose in that moment, that naïve mentality that "all your loved ones are going to be with you forever "died inside my mind also. I was very close to him and loved him so much. I could not believe how such a young life was taken away. It was then that it hit me how short life can be and that tomorrow's never promised. At eight years old, I realized that one had to live life each day to the fullest with dignity and honor, because one never knows when his or her day may come.

WHAT IS THE MOST UNUSUAL THING YOU'VE EVER DONE?
I can't say that I've done anything that I would consider to be unusual. I'm a very open-minded person who enjoys learning about and trying new things. So I can't quite say that I've done anything unusual or peculiar.

WHAT IS YOUR AMBITION IN LIFE?
I believe my calling in life is to help people, regardless of what stage or age in life I am at and I will heed to that calling daily. My purpose is to dedicate my time and effort to others. Someone once said, "As long as there is a man in this world who is hungry, sick, lonely, or living in fear, he is my responsibility." I want to live my life by the quote.

WHAT IS YOUR ENVIRONMENTAL ADVOCACY AND WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THIS?
My environmental advocacy is to promote proper waste management. I believe it is important to spread environmental awareness in the community, as well as actively participate in the activities and projects of bettering our environmental conditions. We need to promote proper waste management, which is done in an environmentally safe and sanitary manner. Many of our dumpsites contain infectious material due to the mishandling of our waste, which creates dangerous and threatening conditions for our waste pickers and sanitary workers. Some people may have the misconception that proper waste management is solely the responsibility of the government—but it's not! It starts with each and every one of us. Even the smallest steps we take, and throwing away trash in its rightful place instead of littering, choosing to recycle, and choosing not to burn our garbage as a means of disposal may seem insignificant. Yet, if we can get a vast majority of people choose to do this daily, it adds up to make a colossal difference in the preservation of our environment. Mother Nature has given us so much, so it is our duty to protect and preserve her.

WHAT TIP CAN YOU SHARE TO PROMOTE SUSTAINABLE ENERGY FOR ALL?
If we can come together and organize events to raise funds for clean renewable energy sources, such as solar powered light bulbs and solar powered LED technology, we can help poverty-stricken families in developing and underdeveloped countries who rely on dangerous pollutants such as charcoal, kerosene, and wood. With the donations we can raise, households in rural areas will have the necessary light needed when children need to study after dark. Availability of renewable energy sources will also allow mothers and fathers to work after dark for a better livelihood. As for well-developed countries, we must work towards improving energy efficient technology. We must push forward to become a society that heavily utilizes renewable sources of energy such as wind energy, solar energy, hydroelectric energy, ocean energy, and geothermal energy. If we can commit to promoting the awareness of our cause, we can multiply our number of supporters. Every little bit of effort counts.

WHAT LESSONS DID YOU LEARN FROM YOUR CHILDHOOD/GROWING YEARS?
I learned that if someone is pulling me down, or saying something against me, I shouldn't fight them physically. I should instead prove them wrong through actions or achievements and let God do the rest.

When I won the award as the Unforgettable Look during our Seniors' Night (4th year high school in Saint Agnes Academy).

DESCRIBE YOUR CHILDHOOD/GROWING YEARS (8-13 Years old)
Way back, a typical weekend for us consisted of a spelling contest or an extemporaneous showdown. That was our idea of fun but mind you, it wasn't boring then. I grew up boyish - picking guns, spiders and running games over dolls and playing dress up. It was such a wonderful childhood and I will not mind repeating it again.

WHAT LESSONS DID YOU LEARN FROM YOUR CHILDHOOD/GROWING YEARS?
Growing up, I've learned a few lessons. First, when you want something, you have to work hard for it because nothing will be given to you on a silver platter. Second, life has no room for regrets. Once you've decided, accept the consequences. Lastly, sharing is not giving what you have in excess that's why it is also a sacrifice.

WHAT IS YOUR MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT?
There were many momentous events that I can mention, but what really struck me most was my first immersion at the Gawad Kalinga site. It may sound bad but it made me realize how I should be thankful for a lot of things because during the times I was complaining about how little I had, there were people very thankful for what little they've got.

WHAT IS THE MOST UNUSUAL THING YOU'VE EVER DONE?
I've researched for a cure to a chicken's colds.

WHAT IS YOUR AMBITION IN LIFE?
To make life a bit bearable by helping change or improve others' life conditions.

WHAT IS YOUR ENVIRONMENTAL ADVOCACY AND WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THIS?
I advocate planting more trees to help conserve the Philippine environment. As youth ambassador of the National Greening Program, we advocate that each volunteer plants 10 trees until 2016 to achieve the goal of planting 1.5 Billion trees in 1.5 Million hectares of Philippine forest land.

WHAT TIP CAN YOU SHARE TO PROMOTE SUSTAINABLE ENERGY FOR ALL?
Spreading awareness to citizens is an effective tool in promoting sustainable energy to all nations.

DESCRIBE YOUR CHILDHOOD/GROWING YEARS (8-13 Years old)
Full of adventure and it was beautiful.

WHAT LESSONS DID YOU LEARN FROM YOUR CHILDHOOD/GROWING YEARS?
I was able to practice the art of gratitude. I always felt like someone was watching over me, that He'll never let me down and I was so thankful for that.

WHAT IS YOUR MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT?
When I travelled abroad alone, seeing different people from different walk of life. Witnessing diversity is the most beautiful thing that ever happened to me. It made me appreciate life even more. I always say that life is too short to stay in one place.

WHAT IS THE MOST UNUSUAL THING YOU'VE EVER DONE?
Went to a retreat house and meditated, it lasted for 7 days.

WHAT IS YOUR AMBITION IN LIFE?
Quite frankly, my ambition is very simple and that is I to travel as far as I can and to learn as much as my brain can take. Learn people's culture and share my learning's to other people is my goal.I am so fascinated with anything and everything that I see around me. To find that "something" that binds us all is my motivation for living.

WHAT IS YOUR ENVIRONMENTAL ADVOCACY AND WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THIS?
My personal environmental advocacy would be to promote environmental awareness to grade-schoolers through education. It might sound cliché but I really believe that they are our hope and if we will be successful in instilling in them the importance of being responsible to their environment at such a young age then I am sure that they will be responsible in every area of their lives as well. Also, since this year's theme is "sustainable energy for all" I want to uphold and promote the use of solar bottles which is a good way to save energy and to support the constant search for technology which can be utilized to save energy.

WHAT TIP CAN YOU SHARE TO PROMOTE SUSTAINABLE ENERGY FOR ALL?
As much as I want to be too technical, the tip that I can give is very simple and that is to have enough initiative to apply what we know because knowing alone does not make a difference. If turning off all electronic devices that are not in use is the best thing to do then do so.

DESCRIBE YOUR CHILDHOOD/GROWING YEARS (8-13 Years old)
My childhood years have not been like what other children experienced during their childhood days. I was not the typical kid who had a lot of time to play with other kids because my brother and I helped in our family drug store. My parents preferred we stay at home and to play with our toys or read our books. I didn't like it at first because I was young and I wanted to have fun with my friends. We did have our so-called childhood "barkada" but they later on moved to different places, so I seldom went outside. My brother and I used to call our cousins to come over. We played hide and seek, paper dolls, jumping rope, and there was also a time when we turned our house into a haunted house.

Some would usually tease me that I was like a nun when I was younger because I went to church in the morning and the afternoon every Sunday. I was even thinking of entering a convent but I realized that I was not born to be a sister, so I've decided to become a beauty queen or a model instead. I really did have a lot of dreams during my childhood.

In school, I had some crushes when I was in elementary and I can still remember that my favorite subject was Art. I believe that childhood is really the time where one is molded to become a woman.

WHAT LESSONS DID YOU LEARN FROM YOUR CHILDHOOD/GROWING YEARS?
I consider my childhood years to be very important years in my life. That period molded me to become who I am right now. I've learned that there are always reasons behind why our parents don't allow us to do this and that. They didn't allow me to play outside because they didn't want me to get hurt and they didn't want me to get distracted from my studies. My teachers used to tell us that we should be intelligent in everything that we do but what I've learned is that being wise is more important than being intelligent.

WHAT IS YOUR MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT?
My most memorable moment was with my grandfather. Actually, he wasn't my grandfather in blood but in soul. He was a jeepney driver and I used to go with him whenever he was plying his jeepney. He always gave me money when my mom wouldn't give me any and the times I spent with him were unforgettable. During my debut party, a part of me wished that he had been there to dance with me. Unfortunately, he died when I was just seven years old. The seven years I spent with him will never be forgotten.

WHAT IS THE MOST UNUSUAL THING YOU'VE EVER DONE?
Eating exotic food.

WHAT IS YOUR AMBITION IN LIFE?
My ambition in life is to be a successful pharmacist, and to help my fellowmen improve their lives. I also yearn for a clean, safe and green country.

WHAT IS YOUR ENVIRONMENTAL ADVOCACY AND WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THIS?
I advocate the use of recyclable materials. I choose this because I believe that waste products can still be useful in many ways. By making a used material into a new product we can reduce the destruction of raw materials, reduce air pollution and water pollution. It can also lower the production of greenhouse gases, which can lead to the so-called greenhouse effect.

WHAT TIP CAN YOU SHARE TO PROMOTE SUSTAINABLE ENERGY FOR ALL?
Unplugging all the household appliances, which are not in use (except for the refrigerator of course) because it reduces the usage of energy so it promotes sustainable energy for all.

DESCRIBE YOUR CHILDHOOD/GROWING YEARS (8-13 Years old)
I had a good family life, though my parents argued a lot. My family was very supportive and I knew that I was well-loved. I was also very skinny when I was young so I was always teased. I didn't care about my appearance and rarely fixed my hair or dressed up. I developed a fascination for reading fiction at an early age and had a special interest in journalism. I was a consistent honor student, but I wasn't very popular and I rarely got noticed. I had a very happy childhood, full of laughter and no worries. I look back with no regrets.

WHAT LESSONS DID YOU LEARN FROM YOUR CHILDHOOD/GROWING YEARS?
I learned that some people will always put you down, so the best thing you can do is keep your chin up and not give them the satisfaction of seeing you beaten down. I also learned that humility is an important trait that can help give you a clearer perspective on life. Lastly, I've learned that respect is very essential, but you can't earn respect without kindness and integrity.

WHAT IS YOUR MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT?
The most memorable moment for me, I guess, was seeing the proud look on my papa's face when I won Miss Anyag. I've always known that he would be proud of me no matter what I did, but seeing him with misty eyes and a huge grin made me really happy and at that moment. I vowed that I would try my best to always make him proud, if only to see that reaction again.

WHAT IS THE MOST UNUSUAL THING YOU'VE EVER DONE?
Join pageants - I've just never seen myself as a beauty queen when I was young. I wanted to be a journalist, a news anchor, but I never imagined I'd want to be a beauty queen. I was very shy and although I consider myself to be a confident person, I never imagined I'd have the courage to face a lot of people on stage, walk with a full smile and answer the q & a with grace. Joining my first pageant was definitely a leap out of my comfort zone because it was something unusual for me.

WHAT IS YOUR AMBITION IN LIFE?
When I was young, I wanted a lot of things and I was very particular about it. But now, I would just simply say that my ambition is to find the profession that I'm passionate about, do something useful and worthwhile that would impact a lot of people, and be happy with my life.

WHAT IS YOUR ENVIRONMENTAL ADVOCACY AND WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THIS?
My environmental advocacy is to promote Green/Sustainable living in all the communities, especially cities around the world. I think that sustainable living would immensely help in preventing global environmental degradation. I believe in the significance of the government's role in promoting this and educating the people that a little alteration in their lifestyles can go a long way in saving our environment.

WHAT TIP CAN YOU SHARE TO PROMOTE SUSTAINABLE ENERGY FOR ALL?
I encourage everyone to use alternative sources of energy. There have been many developments in sustainable energy -- we have the existing alternatives, such as the use of solar energy and the newer developments, such as green energy.

WHAT LESSONS DID YOU LEARN FROM YOUR CHILDHOOD/GROWING YEARS?
We should not stop welcoming new experiences because experience makes us grow, growth teaches us how to give, and from giving we learn how to help others experience their lives.

WHAT IS YOUR MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT?
My most memorable moment is when i won the title Miss Oriental Mindoro Tourism. It was a moment I will treasure for the rest of my life and a platform for me to develop and discover more of my personality.

WHAT IS THE MOST UNUSUAL THING YOU'VE EVER DONE?
Singing in front of the electric fan.

WHAT IS YOUR AMBITION IN LIFE?
To be a Certified Public Accountant.

WHAT IS YOUR ENVIRONMENTAL ADVOCACY AND WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THIS?
Worlwide Advocacy towards Environmental Restoration:
With water being the backbone of human life and constituting 75% of the planet and the Philippines being an Archipelago, Mindoro (being one of its islands) should have clean water flow. Life on earth will then perpetuate.

WHAT TIP CAN YOU SHARE TO PROMOTE SUSTAINABLE ENERGY FOR ALL?

DESCRIBE YOUR CHILDHOOD/GROWING YEARS (8-13 Years old)
During my school-age years, I could describe myself as a "competent and adventurous person."I always want to be on top of my game and continuously learn and improve as an individual. In order to do that, I became an active student of our school and I indulged myself in extra-curricular activities while maintaining good academic standing. I enjoy joining school contests like singing, dancing, arts, sports, and beauty competitions. Apart from that,I am also used to render solo or group intermission numbers since I am a trained singer and a ballet dancer as well. I am very proud of all my achievements but I keep myself grounded all the time. I am more of a leader & I like to take on challenges but at the same time I listen & follow.

I value my family more than anything next to GOD & I appreciate all the love and effort of my parents to raise me well. I believe that without all the love and support that they gave me, I could never develop my sense of industry which is very important in order to boost my self-esteem.

WHAT LESSONS DID YOU LEARN FROM YOUR CHILDHOOD/GROWING YEARS?
The greatest lesson that I learned is to "LOVE DEEPLY & LIVE SIMPLY." I learned that I should never be too attached to material things because these could only give me nothing but temporary source of happiness. That, I could only find true happiness through the love that I give & receive from other people. Growing up, I am already aware how lucky I am for having a complete family and loving parents. I am happy with who I am and what I have…I sure am not perfect and that's what makes me BEAUTIFUL.

What I also realized is the sad reality that we face today due to our struggling environment and its depleting natural resources. I believe that we can still save ourselves and the future generations to come from harm if we act now and start doing something in order to save MOTHER EARTH.

WHAT IS YOUR MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT?
The minute I saw my name included in the list of successful examinees in the Nursing Licensure Exam was my most memorable moment to date. Ever since I started schooling, I had always been serious about my studies. I prepared for the board exam for months and my world seemed to stop while I was waiting for the results to come out. I really want to repay my parents for all their sacrifices for me and at the same time make them proud and so I dedicate my much coveted license to them. I am so happy that all my hard work paid off in the end and so I thank God for this wonderful blessing!

WHAT IS THE MOST UNUSUAL THING YOU'VE EVER DONE?
Being employed in a realty corporation despite the fact that I am a registered nurse.

WHAT IS YOUR AMBITION IN LIFE?
I dream to live a long and happy life. I want to be successful in my chosen career and have a well-bonded family of my own. Of course, I also dreamt of becoming a beauty queen and a good role model for the youth. Apart from my personal ambitions, I also look forward to a pollution-free Philippines.

WHAT IS YOUR ENVIRONMENTAL ADVOCACY AND WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THIS?
Waste, and how we choose to handle it, affects our environment. I advocate on a greener environment and one best way to make a real difference in protecting our environment is through RECYCLING. When we recycle, we do not only conserve and protect our natural resources but also save energy and reduce landfills which cause more and more problems including pollution.

"If we all work together, nothing is impossible. There is a great future ahead of us if we RECYCLE so start RECYCLING today!"

WHAT TIP CAN YOU SHARE TO PROMOTE SUSTAINABLE ENERGY FOR ALL?
As ordinary citizens of our country, we can promote sustainable energy by:
- Turning off the lights when not in use
- Using solar energy as a source of electricity

I was the quiet type when I was younger. I was bullied then, but I grew out of it. I was not a very responsible student then as well.

WHAT LESSONS DID YOU LEARN FROM YOUR CHILDHOOD/GROWING YEARS?
I have learned that people should earn my respect. If they don't treat me with respect, they don't deserve my respect either.

WHAT IS YOUR MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT?
My most memorable moment is seeing the view of Coron after a long climb.

WHAT IS THE MOST UNUSUAL THING YOU'VE EVER DONE?
I'm not really a sporty person so the most unusual thing I've ever done is to mountain hike.

WHAT IS YOUR AMBITION IN LIFE?
My ambition in life is to be happy and reach contentment; to travel and learn things from all around the world; and have someone to share my life with. To live, laugh and love.

WHAT IS YOUR ENVIRONMENTAL ADVOCACY AND WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THIS?

It is an advocacy regarding sustainable energy awareness, how people can help the environment in their own small ways, first by promoting sustainable energy, second by informing them on ways of how to actually incorporate it in their daily lives.

WHAT TIP CAN YOU SHARE TO PROMOTE SUSTAINABLE ENERGY FOR ALL?
Think reduce, reuse and recycle all the time. Simple tips but these can greatly help the environment.

DESCRIBE YOUR CHILDHOOD/GROWING YEARS (8-13 Years old)
Basically, I grew up in the province. I was already joining beauty pageants at the tender age of 9. I was a very ambitious girl. My dream was to become famous beauty queen, a successful businesswoman and to travel around the world.

WHAT LESSONS DID YOU LEARN FROM YOUR CHILDHOOD/GROWING YEARS?
Be optimistic. If you have a dream, find a way to achieve that dream. Nothing is impossible if you believe you can.

WHAT IS YOUR MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT?
Winning the competitions I join.

WHAT IS THE MOST UNUSUAL THING YOU'VE EVER DONE?
Eating exotic food like snake, frog, and horse meat.

WHAT IS YOUR AMBITION IN LIFE?
My ambition in life is to become successful and happy in whatever I do. I also want to have wonderful family in the future.

WHAT IS YOUR ENVIRONMENTAL ADVOCACY AND WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THIS?
I want to advocate or promote an environmental awareness program for students in elementary schools so that at an early age, they can learn how to take care and protect our mother earth by planting trees. They can start in their own backyards if they're taught how to recycle, how to use organic materials in their everyday life, etc.

WHAT TIP CAN YOU SHARE TO PROMOTE SUSTAINABLE ENERGY FOR ALL?
Instead of using plastic bags, just use paper bags. Instead of using your car to buy something near in your place, just walk going there. Plant trees. Promote using organic products.

WHAT LESSONS DID YOU LEARN FROM YOUR CHILDHOOD/GROWING YEARS?

WHAT TIP CAN YOU SHARE TO PROMOTE SUSTAINABLE ENERGY FOR ALL?
We need to know when to use things and when it is needed. Renewable energy can provide us an alternate supply but it never lasts for long. We need to know how to conserve and preserve what we have right now.

DESCRIBE YOUR CHILDHOOD/GROWING YEARS (8-13 Years old)
Both of my parents were hardworking during this period of my life, yet they still showed their love and affection, though I had many house rules and restrictions. I was an only child till I was 10 years old, and stepped up to the job of being a good older sister to cute little brothers.

WHAT LESSONS DID YOU LEARN FROM YOUR CHILDHOOD/GROWING YEARS?
Realizing the fact that I was a big sister and thus, I need to take up certain responsibilities. Raising a child is a huge lifetime task where you're responsible for both physical and moral development. It is an arduous job, but it gives such fulfillment and happiness when you see a smile.

WHAT IS YOUR MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT?
During my elementary years, I attended Instituut Dames van het Christelijk Onderwijs, a school that instilled in me many values and proper etiquette. I was friends with many children of various nationalities, thus teaching me to be very open and friendly with people regardless of their appearance.

WHAT IS THE MOST UNUSUAL THING YOU'VE EVER DONE?
I was all slated to enroll in the University of Antwerp, yet I packed my bags and went straight to the Philippines upon hearing my siblings needed and missed me. You can get an education practically anywhere, but once those childhood years fly by, those are memories one can't get back.

WHAT IS YOUR AMBITION IN LIFE?
My childhood dream has always been to graduate in Medicine, with a specialization in Immunology. Secretly I pray for a good future and happy life for my dear siblings.

WHAT IS YOUR ENVIRONMENTAL ADVOCACY AND WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THIS?
I truly believe that we should educate the new generations, for they will be the ones to inherit the Earth. The mentality of our society is use-and-throw. When instead, we should find ways to reuse and reduce materials, extend their lifespan and durability, thus creating less garbage.

WHAT TIP CAN YOU SHARE TO PROMOTE SUSTAINABLE ENERGY FOR ALL?
A simple tip is to save energy where you can. Replace old light bulbs with energy efficient ones. Plug out electrical appliances at night. Don't use too much electronics if you can avoid it.

DESCRIBE YOUR CHILDHOOD/GROWING YEARS (8-13 Years old)
My childhood was sophisticated, pleasant and was never a bore because I was surrounded by wonderful friends and relatives who gave their unending love and support from the day I was born until I became the person I am today. My childhood was full of epic and remarkable adventures. I would never ever trade it for anything else and it will never be forgotten. I used to climb mountains and old trees that were so huge. I fished in a pond far from home, I went highway biking using a motorbike, I cooked coconut bits in a mini forest, I ate sour stalks and I played "bahay-bahayan" on a little bridge just beside Batuan highway.

The journey of my childhood will never be complete without my Joy, Blenda, Bibi, Eboy, Ryan, Zarah and Zandra.

WHAT LESSONS DID YOU LEARN FROM YOUR CHILDHOOD/GROWING YEARS?
I learned how to be independent, innovative, resourceful, generous and kind. I also learned the importance of taking things into perspective before a deed is done or a word is said.

WHAT IS YOUR MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT?
The most memorable moment was when I surprisingly won the first pageant I ever joined. Now I'm living my dream as the 2012 Miss Cebu Rahabilitative Scences, and hopefully, winning the title of Miss Philippines-Earth would be next.

WHAT IS THE MOST UNUSUAL THING YOU'VE EVER DONE?
The most unusual thing I've ever done was to take every opportunity that came because I recently realized that if I kept being an introvert and if I let my chances pass, I can never achieve my dreams of becoming a beauty queen.

WHAT IS YOUR AMBITION IN LIFE?
My ambition is life is to become a patriotic occupational therapist. I would like to serve the country and at the same time, be a beauty queen and a model.

WHAT IS YOUR ENVIRONMENTAL ADVOCACY AND WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THIS?
The environmental advocacy that I want to incorporate into my society would be tree-planting for both land and sea. This is because evidence of deforestation due to illegal logging is transparent in our locality right now. The mangrove trees, where fishes, seaweeds and other sea creatures make their homes are also decreasing in number. I choose this advocacy so I can help mother earth and make myself an instrument of change.

WHAT TIP CAN YOU SHARE TO PROMOTE SUSTAINABLE ENERGY FOR ALL?
I would promote the use of wind energy. If the government could implement this, not only do we save the environment from the harsh pollutants fossil fuels emit, we also help our economy as we would no longer depend on the rise and fall of petroleum prices in the world market. Rich or poor, EVERY household in our country would have lights in their homes.

As of the moment, that we are not applying wind energy, I STRONGLY suggest that we help reduce the use of energy, like turning off appliances when not in use, as well as unplugging them and simply walking to a nearby store instead of using a car.

DESCRIBE YOUR CHILDHOOD/GROWING YEARS (8-13 Years old)
My childhood years were quite similar to that of any normal kid. I was bullied and criticized. I was a late bloomer so some people noticed that I didn't look like my other siblings. I was able to cope, however, because I have a very loving family and they were very supportive. Unfortunately, my father died in a vehicular accident and it was a sad and unforgettable moment for me because he passed to soon.

WHAT LESSONS DID YOU LEARN FROM YOUR CHILDHOOD/GROWING YEARS?
You should always show your parents how much you love them because you'll never know how long they'll be around. I never felt like I was able to show my father how much I love him and I now regret not being open about it. Because of this, I've learned to express my feelings. I've also learned that inner beauty matters more than physical beauty. Lastly, I've realized that life has so much to offer and so much give, and it's up to us to create our destiny. The decisions and choices we make matter, so we should always use wisdom in making them. Life, after all, is whatever we make of it.

WHAT IS YOUR MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT?
The first time I won a beauty pageant. It was my second pageant, and I didn't expect to win. All of the candidates were good and I saw myself as a novice, yet I bagged the special awards.

WHAT IS YOUR AMBITION IN LIFE?
To be a successful nurse, to help the sick people and to help support my family.

WHAT IS YOUR ENVIRONMENTAL ADVOCACY AND WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THIS?
I want to promote the environment code. I chose this because it contains articles that can help preserve our environment. One article states that we should eliminate plastics/styrofoam and BYOB or bring your own bag/bayong instead. This way, we can help to curb global warming.

WHAT TIP CAN YOU SHARE TO PROMOTE SUSTAINABLE ENERGY FOR ALL?
We should conserve energy and use it only for what we really need. We can also use solar energy for our landposts. It can help to prevent greenhouse gas emissions.

DESCRIBE YOUR CHILDHOOD/GROWING YEARS (8-13 Years old)
I surrounded myself with people who could influence me with music. During these times I was into pop and rock music. I also felt like this awkward and shy, tall girl. I was never really allowed to go out and my curfew was at 5 PM.

WHAT LESSONS DID YOU LEARN FROM YOUR CHILDHOOD/GROWING YEARS?
Enjoy life while you are still young. You should live life to the fullest and never take things for granted because sometimes, opportunities only knock on your door once. You'll never know what you've got till it's gone.

WHAT IS YOUR MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT?
Joining and winning beauty pageants.

WHAT IS THE MOST UNUSUAL THING YOU'VE EVER DONE?
I have let some opportunities slip away even if I really wanted them so bad. And I also joined activist groups way back in college, fighting for equality and fairness for us students.

WHAT IS YOUR AMBITION IN LIFE?
To become a successful person who's happy and content with whatever she has in life, to be surrounded by my family and friends and to become rich and famous.

WHAT TIP CAN YOU SHARE TO PROMOTE SUSTAINABLE ENERGY FOR ALL?
Preserve ecological balance and conserve energy by lessening our consumption of it. The old and traditional ways and going back to the basics can help us achieve sustainable energy and utilize whatever available resources we have. I hope the government promotes the importance of biofuel as a substitute for the regular ones that pollute the air we breathe.

DESCRIBE YOUR CHILDHOOD/GROWING YEARS (8-13 Years old)
Childhood has been one of my greatest memories in life. It was during those days when I became active and exposed to different extra-curricular activities. I started to sing, dance and also act. That was the time that I started exploring not only my skills, but also my so-called "talent". In connection to dancing, I was an active member of drum and lyre band for four years. And it was during my last two years in the band when I became the lead majorette. That was a challenging role for me as a kid, since directing a whole group to follow is quite tedious. Childhood years have also given me the chance to bring out the athletic side of myself. I have been part of the volleyball team in our school for five years and I also became the captain ball of the group. I was lucky to be chosen to represent the team Laguna for STRAA (STCAA now) but I refused to join since I was a candidate then for the honor list. I am so thankful that I have experienced all the joy and fun that a kid could have experienced in his/her childhood days because these experiences have brought me now to what and who I am today.

WHAT LESSONS DID YOU LEARN FROM YOUR CHILDHOOD/GROWING YEARS?
From all the experiences I have been through, I have learned that not all things come that easily. Hard work and determination is the key to achieve one's goal. I would not be in my position right now if not for of that. Yes, I was already taught to work hard even as a kid. I also learned the value of studies because it is the key to a successful future. I am also thankful for the discipline I got from my parents because it led me to follow the right path. These childhood years helped me mingle with good old and new friends and made me more understanding of the different kinds of people and personalities, giving me a bubbly, open-minded aura and a personality that can easily deal with everyone.

WHAT IS YOUR MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT?
My most memorable moment in my life was when I finished college. I felt mixed emotions when I finally got my diploma. I know how hard it was for me to achieve this and this is one of my greatest ambitions in life.

WHAT IS YOUR AMBITION IN LIFE?
I know one of my ambitions in life has already been fulfilled and that is to finish my studies. Now, what I am looking forward to for myself is to be successful in all the careers that I decide to pursue. Having a chemistry degree and doing pageants or extra-curricular activities on the side is quite difficult because a jack of all trades is a master of none. But I do believe that with passion and determination nothing would be impossible.

WHAT IS YOUR ENVIRONMENTAL ADVOCACY AND WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THIS?
"Be Green and Clean"
I have chosen this advocacy in relation to the theme for this year regarding sustainable energy. I believe that it's the time for us to pay more importance to the usefulness of our surroundings. especially all the renewable resources that could be found in our environment. I want to share this advocacy to extract, generate and consume all the possible green energies for the benefit of mankind. We all know that our nature has its own natural way of recovering so this means pollution could be eradicated. It also means that the emission of greenhouse gases, which we all know is harmful not only to the environment, but also to our health could be lessened. So here goes my advocacy: "BE GREEN AND CLEAN"

WHAT TIP CAN YOU SHARE TO PROMOTE SUSTAINABLE ENERGY FOR ALL?
Love our environment because through loving it, we will find and appreciate the beauty within it.
