Contestants of Miss Universe Netherlands 2009

Miss Universe Netherlands (Holland) 2009 Beauty Pageant will be held on June 27. The winner will represent Netherlands at the Miss Universe 2009 Contest on August 23 to be held in the beautiful islands of the Bahamas. Kim Kotter, Miss Universe Netherlands 2002 is the organizer the Miss Universe Netherlands Pageant. She placed 11th, missing the Top 10 by a tie break! At the Miss Europe pageant she became 3rd runner up. After her success as a beauty queen she started her own modeling agency and she also started the very succesfull Miss Overijssel pageant. Kim will also be the organizer of Miss Germany Pageant.

Miss Overijssel is the biggest regional pageant in the Netherlands and the only one to be live broadcast.

International Cattle Queen 2009 Contestants

The city of Monteria, Colombia, is currently hosting the International Cattle Queen 2009 beauty pageant in it's 2nd year. Among the preliminary events for this pageant, is the Fresh Milk Festival! The coronation night will be on June 21.

Contestants are also required to parade in national and cowgirls costumes to a crowd of thousands in the streets of Monteria. “I am surprised to see how wonderful and well organized this pageant is, the locals have been very hospitable and welcoming, this is a fantastic experience”, says the Brazilian queen, Samara Valêncio de Melo.

Also present is Blanca Cristina Aljibes (photo above) of Venezuela, the first ever International Cattle Queen 2008, crowned last year.

What does a young woman must have in order to win this contest? “She must be beautiful, elegant, poised, and have a fair knowledge of this important industry in her country”, the organizers explained. There are six lovely and gorgeous candidates participating:

Miss USA wins International Cattle Queen 2009

Miss Universe China 2009 is Jing Yao Wang

Miss Universe China 2009 is Jing Yao Wang, 19 years old, and stands 1.78 m-tall. She won the title earlier this Saturday, in Beijing, and will now get ready to represent her country in the Miss Universe 2009 beauty pageant, which will take place in Nassau, Bahamas on August 23.

The runners-up were:

Miss El Salvador Universe 2009 was Mayella Mena

Miss El Salvador Universe 2009 or locally known as Nuestra Belleza El Salvador 2009 beauty pageant was held last June 19 at San Salvador, the capital city. The beautiful Mayella Mena was crowned and she will represent her country at the Miss Universe 2009 Contest on August 23 at the island of Nassau, Bahamas. She was crowned by Rebeca Moreno, Miss El Salvador Universe 2008.

Miss Panama (Bellezas Panama International & Earth) 2009

Miss Panama (Bellezas Panama International & Earth) 2009

Joyce Jacobi and Geraldine Higuera was crowned Miss Panama International and Miss Earth 2009 or Bellezas Panamá 2009 in a beauty pageant held at the Centenario ballroom in the Vasco Nuñez de Balboa Convention Center in Panama City on June 17.

21 year old Joyce Jacobi (left) is a law student from David (Chiriqui). She stands 1.73m tall and will represent the country at the Miss International 2009 beauty contest to be held in Japan and Macau, China on November.

Representing Panama at the Miss Earth 2009 Competition on October at the Philippines is the 20 year old Geraldine Higuera (right). She is a physical therapist from La Chorrera and stands tall at 1.71m.



The remaining finalists were Silvia Castro and Stephanie Tom. 13 lovely contestants competed in the annual event, organized by Tania Hyman's Models and Talents.
