Miss British Virgin Islands 2009 Contestants

Miss British Virgin Islands (Miss BVI) 2009 Beauty Pageant Preliminary Competition will be held on July 31. The final coronation night will be on August 2 at the Multi-purpose Complex. Maquita Richards, Miss British Virgin Islands 2008 will crown her successor and take her final walk on the event. There are six lovely candidates vying for the title. The winner will be competing at the Miss Universe 2010 next year.

Josephina Nunez Crowned Miss British Virgin Islands 2009

Representative of British Virgin Islands at Miss Universe 2009

Maquita Richards, the winner of Miss British Virgin Islands (Miss BVI) 2008 Beauty Pageant will compete at the Miss Universe 2009 to be held in Nassau, Bahamas on Ausgust 23 representing her country.

The 23 year old beauty wants to become a Certified Paramedic and becoming an Emergency Physician. Maquita loves to play the flute, reading, listening to Music, meeting new people, and being an EMT.

International Beauty and Model Festival 2009 also known as Beauty of the World 2009 will be held at Kunming, China from April 25 until May 5, 2009. This beauty contest was joined by representatives from 45 countries of the world.

The International Beauty and Model Festival or Beauty of the World was held every after two years. This year's main theme is: "Competition in global diplomacy queen". It's purpose is to add a new color to the International Festival of Culture and Tourism Kunming.

Elena Potana from Russia, year 2007 winner will crown her successor and take her final walk at the end of this event.
