Keity Drennan Crowned Senorita Panama 2016

25 year old Keity Drennan from Panama City was crowned Señorita Panamá 2016 during an event held at the Trump International Hotel in Panama City on April 26. She was crowned by last year's winner, Gladys Brandao.

Standing 1.76m tall, Keity edged out 21 other aspirants for the title after they were carefully evaluated by a panel of judges who scored them in the categories of swimsuits, elegance, beauty and personal interviews. She is not new to the pageant scene, having competed in the Miss International beauty pageant in Chengdu in 2011, where she placed 4th runner-up.

Drennan currently works as a professional model and she will be the official representative of Panama in Miss Universe 2016 competition to be held later this year.

In 2nd place came Laura de Sanctis, and in 3rd place was Margareth Villanueva.

The Miss Universe franchise in Panama was recently awarded to new license holders: Miss Universe 2002, Justine Pasek and Cesar Anel Rodriguez, who in a very short time were able to organize the event to allow enough preparation time for the Panamanian representative.

It was also announced during the event, that Señorita Panamá 2017 pageant will take place on January 2017.
