Koreen Medina wins Mutya ng Pilipinas 2013
Former Happy Yipee Yehey's My Girl Grand winner, Koreen Medina from Quezon City beat out other 30 hopefuls as she won the title of Mutya ng Pilipinas Asia Pacific 2013 during the 45th Mutya ng Pilipinas (Pearl of the Philippines) pageant held at the NBC Tent in Bonifacio Global City in Taguig last July 26.
18 year old Koreen stands 5'6.5" tall and she will compete representing the Philippines in Miss Intercontinental 2013 contest on November in Egypt.
Meanwhile, Angeli Dione Gomez was crowned as Mutya ng Pilipinas Tourism International 2013. This 20 year old beauty from Cebu City also competed in Bb. Pilipinas 2013.
Standing at 5'5.5" tall, Angeli Dione will enter the Miss Tourism International 2013 on December in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Finished as the 1st run-up was Maureen Ann Montagne, while the 2nd run-up was Kristian Aubrey Nolasco.
A special crown was honored to Asdis Lisa Karsdottir as she was declared Mutya ng Pilipinas Overseas Communities 2013
Completing the top 10 finalists were Nazita Reyhanian, Catherine Denise Trivino, Joselle Mariano, Vina Openiano and Bb. Pilipinas 2013 contestant Zandra Flores.
Aside from the crown, Koreen Medina won numerous special awards: Mutya ng Sheridan, Best in Talent, Mutya ng Zen Institute, Mutya ng Crimson, Mutya ng Lancaster Hotel Manila and Mutya ng Careline by Ever Belina.
Zandra Flores won Press Favorite and Miss Photogenic. Vina Openiano awarded as Best in Swimsuit, while Marichat Evaristo was the Best in Long Gown and Best in National Costume.
Asdis Lisa Karlsdottir was chosen Mutya People's Choice Awardee. Ivy Camille Villanueva was voted by her co-candidates as Miss Friendship.
The event was hosted by former Mutya ng Pilipinas Queens Kirby Ann Basken, Kristine Caballero and Patricia Fernandez together with basketball star and TV host Cris Tiu.
Joselle Mariano was Mutya ng Mags, Catherine Denise Trivino is Mutya ng Informatics, Angeli Dione Gomez wins Mutya ng Crimson and Maureen Ann Montagne was Mutya ng IVI Collagen.
