Leo Delaney wins Mister Ireland 2012

Mister Ireland 2012 Leo Delaney

22 year old Leo Delaney from Limerick bested out 7 other hunks vying for the title of Mister Ireland 2012. He stands 6'0" tall and will represent his country in Mister World 2012 pageant on November 24 at the Kent County Showground in Kent, England.

Completing the finalists were Barry Maguire, Jason Aughney, Jeremy McConnell Cooke and Brook Wright from Dublin; Jonathan Connolly from Belfast; Keelin Lynch from Galway and Patrick Byrne from Westmeath.

The celebrity panel of judges who was responsible for Delaney's win were: Aisling O’ Dwyer from the Paul Goldin Clinic; model and presenter Lisa Nolan; Xpose’s Declan Leavy; Roz Flanagan of Dublin Housewives fame and photographer Evan Doherty.

Leo is still studying Construction Management and Engineering in LIT He also models part-time with the Celia Holman Lee Agency and won the regional heat early this year at The Strand Bar in Limerick. This qualified him for the final which took place last night at the Clyde Court Hotel in Dublin.

Asked how he feels after winning: “I’m absolutely stunned; I did not expect to win so I’m delighted. It will be a great honour to represent Ireland at Mr World and I’m really looking forward to the event”.
