A Rwandan delegate to Miss World would serve as an eye opener showing that this sovereign state in central and eastern African country has moved on and continue to progress and improve the country’s image internationally.

So far, only Agbani Darego from Nigeria has won the Miss World crown. The winning of Leila Lopes of Angola as Miss Universe 2011 also made a huge impact why more and more African countries now participating in an international beauty pageants.
