Crowning of the new Miss Venezuela 2008

The evening start with a fabolous opening presentation with the delegates wearing white gown with style like the gown of Dayana Mendoza at last year's Miss Venezuela Beauty Pageant. The delegates were singing "Mac Arthur Park" and the traditional Miss Venezuela song "A wonderful day like today".
Then after presenting all the 28 candidates, the special awards were given. Miss Photogenic is Miss Sucre Natasha Dominguez, she is voted by the press reporters. Miss Internet who is voted by the viewers is Miss Dependencias Federales Dayana Borges. And Miss Amistad or Miss Congeniality who is voted by her fellow candidates is Miss Apure Adahisa Pena.

The celebrity panel of judges was introduced, some of them includes Ly Jonaitis, Miss Venezuela 2006 and Miss Universe 2007 2nd run-up and Veruska Ramirez, Miss Venezuela 1997 and Miss Universe 1998 2nd run-up. Then all the 28 contestants one by one in the swimsuit competition.
After a few more guest performance, the evening gown competition followed.

By giving Venezuela the 5th crown of Miss Universe, Dayana Mendoza, the reigning Miss Venezuela 2007 and Miss Universe 2008 recieves a tribute and appreciation by fellow Venezuelans.

Then, the Miss Venezuela 2008 Beauty Contest Top 10 Semi-Finalists are revealed. They will be competing in interview competition. But before announcing, the best gown designer was given to Gionni Straccia for Miss Monagas, Laksmi Rodriguez de la Sierra.

After the Top 10 Semi-Final Competition, the announcing of the Miss Venezuela 2008 Top 5 Finalists. They will be ranked according to the over-all impression through out the whole competition. The Top 5 are:

After minutes of waiting for the results, the awarding finally comes. The 2nd runner-up goes to Miss Carabobo, Gabriela Nidioska Concepcion Guzman. She is from Puerto Cabello. An 18 years old stunner and stands 180cm. tall.

The 1st runner-up title was given to the lovely Miss Sucre, Natasha Alexandra Dominguez Boscan. She is an 18 year old native of Caracas and stands 173cm. tall.

The title of Miss Venezuela International 2008 was given to the 22 year-old Miss Monagas, Veronica Susana Arcay Andrade. She stands 178cm. tall and her hometown is San Cristobal. She will be the representative of Venezuela at the Miss International 2009 Beauty Pageant.

Declared as the Miss Venezuela Mundo or Miss Venezuela World which will represent the country at the Miss World 2009 Beauty Contest is Miss Anzoategui, Maria Milagros Veliz Pinto. She is a native of Valencia. 25 years of age and stands 178cm. tall.

And finally the successor of Miss Universe 2008 Miss Venezuela 2007 Dayana Mendoza, the title of Miss Venezuela Universe or locally called as Miss Venezuela Universo was won by the 18 years old Miss Trujillo, Stefania Fernandez Krupij. Her hometown is from Merida. She stands tall 177cm. Stefania will be representing her country next year in Miss Universe 2009 Beauty Pageant.

Abigail Elizalde Romo is Miss Mexico Earth 2008

Miss Coahuila Abigail Elizalde Romo was crowned Miss Earth Mexico 2008 in an beauty pageant held at the Yucatan Convention Center. She is 23 years of age and stands at 1.83m tall. Abigail will be travelling to Pampanga, Philippines to compete at Miss Earth 2008 Beauty Contest on November 9.

Declared as the 1st and 2nd runners-up were the representatives of Jalisco and San Luis Potosi.

Costa Rica's bet to Miss Earth 2008

Wendy Cordero Sanchez is declared as the new representative of Costa Rica at Miss Earth 2008 Beauty Pageant to be held in Pampanga, Philippines this coming November. She will also be competing at Miss Continente Americano 2008 Contest. She has won a scholarship and will study psychology in human relations. Wendy first competed in Miss World 2007 last year in Sanya, China.

Miss Macau 2008 was Crowned

Standing at 1.66m tall, the 23 year old Florence Loi won the Miss Macau 2008 Beauty Pageant last Sunday. Florence will compete at Miss Chinese International 2008 Pageant. She will also be the host delegate and competing at Miss International 2008 Beauty Contest on November 9. Florence also got the award Miss Photogenic.

Declared as the 1st runner-up was Ana Kuan Barroso, 20 years old and also elected as Miss Popularity. Ana will now compete at Miss World 2008 Beauty Pageant to be held at Johannesburg, South Africa.

The 2nd runner-up title was given to the 21 year old Cherry Ng.

Ria Antoniou is competing for Greece at Miss Earth 2008

Although Ria Antoniou wasn't lucky enough to be crowned as the representative of Greece in Miss Universe or Miss World Beauty Pageants, she was confirmed as the one to compete representing Greece at Miss Earth 2008 Beauty Contest to be held in Pampanga, Philippines on November. By the way, Ria is one of the top favorites at the Star Hellas 2008 Beauty Pageant where she placed as the 1st runner-up.

Ria will be competing in Miss Earth 2008 Beauty Contest on November at Pampanga, Philippines. She will also might be competing at Miss International Beauty Pageant in Macau.

Marcos Grabowski wins Mister Gay Brazil

21 year-old Mister Gay Goiania Marcos Grabowski wins Mister Gay Brazil Beauty Contest held at the Auditorio Elis Regina in Sao Paulo. While Mister Gay Rio de Janeiro Felix Gomes declared as the 1st runner-up. And Mister Gay Florianopolis Maicon Araujo was chosen as the 2nd runner-up and also Mister Photogenic.

Mister Gay Brazil Beauty Pageant 2008 was hosted by TV presenter Leao Lobo. Some of the celebrity panel of judges includes the talented fashion designer Rogerio Figueiredo, and Miss World Brazil 2008, Tamara Almeida.

During the final round of competition, Marcos was asked the final question by Tamara Almeida about his beauty secrets was, to which he responded: "My God, shouldn't I be asking you that?? You are stunning!". That answer gave him an standing ovation.

Marcos will be representing his country at the 2009 Mister Gay International to be held in Los Angeles on February next year.

Miss Brazil Earth 2008 was Handpicked

Tatiane Alves was handpicked by the new organizers of Miss Brazil Earth, who also have the Miss Universe franchise in the state of Minas Gerais. Tatiane was Miss Minas Gerais Universe 2005, and Miss Brazil Universe's 4th runner-up in 2005. She was announced as Miss Earth Brazil 2008 during the Miss Minas Gerais Universe 2009 Beauty Pageant, which took place in the city of Divinopolis last Saturday night.

Tatiane will be the representative of Brazil in the 2008 Miss Earth Beauty Contest on November in Pampanga, Philippines. Also on November, the election of the Miss Earth Brazil for 2009.

Miss World Bahamas 2008 - Tinnyse Johnson

21 year old Tinnyse Jamel Johnson was crowned as the new Miss Bahamas 2008. She entered the beauty contest as Miss Fox Phone Card Center and one of the "fierce fifteen" as capacity crowd at the Rainforest Theatre on the Cable Beach strip of Nassau, Bahamas witnessed her crowned. Tinnyse stands 5'8 ½" tall and will be travelling to Johannesburg, South Africa to compete at the 2008 Miss World Beauty Pageant on December 14.

Tinnyse is really a carribean island girl. "I love the island way of life – fishing, crabbing, conching, and especially making tamarind sauce," she said. "I also often make time to enjoy the beautiful beaches of The Bahamas. In my spare time, I enjoy swimming, listening to music, writing inspirational messages, and taking in a good movie" Tinnyse added.

The new beauty queen is currently enrolled in the College of the Bahamas where she is pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. She hopes to put that education to good use by one day owning a conglomerate of businesses internationally. She also wants to make her mark on the international inspirational speaking circuit.

Welcome Home Miss Universe 2008

Dayana Mendoza, the Reigning Miss Universe 2008 returns to her homeland Venezuela bringing her country it's 5th Miss Universe Crown. It's the first time that Dayana go to Venezuela after winning the Miss Universe Beauty Pageant.

The new Miss Universe greeted the press and her fans at the Maiquetia International Airport in Vargas, Venezuela.

Fanny Blome is Sweden's bet for Miss Earth 2008

Miss Sweden Earth 2008 Beauty Pageant was held recently at Stockholm. And crowned as this year's winner is Fanny Blome who is a college student and a professional model. She is 18 years old and stands tall at 182cms.

Fanny will travel in Pampanga, Philippines this coming November to compete in the 2008 Miss Earth Beauty Contest.

USA's candidate for Miss Universe 2007, Rachel Smith fall off on stage during the final evening gown competition. Rachel was poised and carried herself with extreme confidence and eventhough Smith was booed by the Mexican crowd after she was announced as part of the top five while the local representative from Mexico was not, she answered her final question, finishing by thanking the crowd in Spanish. Finally, Rachel placed as the 4th runner-up.

Jennifer represented her country Australia in the Miss Universe 2004 Beauty Pageant in Quito, Ecuador and later on bring home the coveted crown. Proudly going back to her homeland appearing in an Mall Show, Jennifer had a wardrobe malfunction. But she carried the situation well with poise and just laugh at the incident.

Elodie Delor is Miss Martinique World 2008

The 18 year-old Elodie Delor (photo) of Port de France was crowned as the new Miss Martinique World 2008. Elodie stands 182cm. tall and she will represent Martinique in the upcoming Miss World Beauty Pageant on December 14 this year at Johannesburg, South Africa.

Elodie first competed at the Miss Earth 2007 Beauty Contest held in Manila Philippines where she landed as one of the top 16 quarter finalists.

Mister Philippines 2008 Winners

Started with 15 gorgeous male hopeful candidates of Mister Philippines International 2008 (Jefff Surio, Juan Lorenzo 'Enzo' Quitiquit, Leo Reyes, Christian Ang-Cayabyab, Bryan Baculi, Philip Ramos, Aaron Jimenez, John Bardo 'JB' Espiritu, Ian Leonel Porlayagan, Mike Lee, Ricswartz 'RS' Sibal, Dennis Torres, Ryan Roberts, Gilbert Lopez and Sary Alsiyed), the night ended up with the success of Ryan Roberts of Caloocan, City as he was named the over-all winner. He will be representing the country on November 23, 2008 in the Mister International 2008 Competition to be held in the Kaohsiung, Taiwan (Republic of China). It was Ryan's first time to join a pageant, he served with the US Army for four years in Iraq.

Newly Crowned Miss Canada Earth 2008

The Miss Canada Earth Beauty Pageant this year is back in it's 6th edition and held at Montreal. 12 lovely candidates participated in the annual event. Delegates in this edition was called the 12 Princess of Nature.

A 20 year old stunner from Northern Ontario, Denise Garrido was crowned as the new Miss Canada Earth 2008. She will promote the awareness and involvement among communities and a society of people in preserving our environment through the propagation of information and education of the populace on salient realities of ecological balance of our Mother Earth.

Denise will travel and compete at the 2008 Miss Earth Beauty Contest in Pampanga, Philippines. The reigning Miss Earth 2007 Jessica Nicole Trisco is also from Canada.

Tran Thi Thuy Dung is Miss Vietnam World 2008

Representing Da Nang City, Tran Thi Thuy Dung wins Miss Vietnam 2008 Beauty Pageant last Sunday. She is 18 years old and stands 1.78m. tall.

Tran will represent her country at the Miss World 2008 Beauty Contest in Johannesburg, South Africa on December 14.

Representative of Colombia to Miss Earth 2008

Beating out 15 other contestants, Miss Valle del Cauca, Mariana Rodriguez Merchan (left) was the crowned as the new Miss Colombia Earth 2008. The beauty pageant was part of the Annual Emerald Festival, which took place in the city of Muzo, Colombia.

One of the judges is Alexandra Braun Waldeck from Venezuela. She won the Miss Earth Beauty Pageant in 2005.

Mariana is a 20 year old Marketing student and stands 1.80m. tall, she has a beautiful dark brown hair and green eyes. Mariana will be will travel to the Philippines to compete for the 2008 Miss Earth Beauty Contest on November 9.

Gabriela Zavala is Miss Honduras World 2008

Gabriela Zavala Irias was crowned Miss Honduras World 2008 or locally known as Miss Honduras Mundo 2008. Gabriela is from San Pedro Sula, works as a professional model and is 22 years old. She will be representing Honduras at the 2008 Miss World Beauty Pageant on December 16 at Johannesburg South Africa.

She also first represented her country at the 2004 Miss Earth Beauty Contest held in Manila, Philippines where she landed as one of the top 8 semi-finalist and also recieved the Best in National Costume Award.
