Thailand's Bet to Miss World 2016 is Jinnita Buddi

Jinnita Buddi from Chiang Mai was crowned Miss Thailand World 2016 held at the Bangkok Convention Centre. Aside from the title and the crown, she also received a THB1 million cash prize, a new house and brand-new Nissan car.

The first runner-up was Patlada Kulphakthanapat and the second runner-up was Nutkamon Suwansin.

Jinnita will now represent Thailand in the upcoming Miss World 2016 pageant later this year.

Christinne Barbier crowned Miss Seychelles Another World 2016

Christinne Barbier won the title of Miss Seychelles Another World 2016 beating out 11 other contestants. Barbier received the coveted crown on top of being named the girl with the best personality, talent and sporting abilities.

“I feel very emotional, I’m extremely happy,” Barbier said shortly after winning.

Samira Albert and Lianne Barbé were crowned the second and first princesses respectively.

Christinne will now the official representative of Seychelles in the upcoming Miss World 2016 contest.

Nuriyyih Gerrard is Miss Guyana World 2016

Actress and radio personality Nuriyyih Gerrard was crowned Miss Guyana World 2016 as the local leg of the annual pageant concluded with a simple coronation ceremony at Parc Rayne.

While she is widely known for her vibrant personality on the ‘Jump Start’ show, a local morning radio programme, Gerrard proved to a panel of judges that she also has what it takes to walk away with the coveted title of Miss Guyana World 2016 as she beat out six other contestants in her successful quest for the crown.

The first runner-up was Treasure James and the second runner-up was Najuma Nelson.

Nuriyyih will be the official representative of Guyana in Miss World 2016 pageant later this year.

Miss Kyrgyzstan 2016 is Perizat Rasulbek Kyzy

18 year old Perizat Rasulbek Kyzy won the title Miss Kyrgyzstan 2016 at the conclusion of the national finale held at the Mansion Music Hall, in Bishkek. A native of the capital city of Bishkek, Perizat will now get ready to compete in Miss World 2016 pageant.

Ekaterina Zabolotnova and Begim Almasbekova were 1st and 2nd runners-up respectively.

Dominican Republic's Clarissa Molina wins Nuestra Belleza Latina VIP 2016

Reigning Miss Dominican Republic Universe, Clarissa Molina was crowned the winner of Univision’s Nuestra Belleza Latina VIP 2016 reality show on May 22nd. The VIP version featured notable contestants who have already competed for the NBL title in the past, being Molina one of the most charismatic.

Molina received the crown and sash from last year’s winner Francisca Lachapel, also a Dominican. 12 contestants competed in the popular show for several weeks, trying to bag the title and the big prizes. Setareh Khatib (Mexico) took the 2nd place and won a scholarship. In 3rd place was Catherine Castro (Puerto Rico) and in 4th place was Barbara Turbay (Colombia).

Among the attendants at the gala was Molina’s current director, Magali Febles, who was overwhelmed with happiness and celebrating the victory with her fellow Dominicans at the Univision studios in Miami.

Shirly Karvinen Crowned Miss Suomi 2016

23 year old Shirly Karvinen was crowned Miss Suomi 2016, celebrating it's 79th year. The event was held at Vanajanlinna Pavilion, with a gorgeous lake view and was telecast live on TV Nelonen.

Standing 1.70m tall, Shirly has a Finnish and Chinese descent and currently works as a model. She will be the official representative of Finland in the Miss Universe 2016 competition to be held later this year.

2nd place went to Heta Sallinen (photo, right), 21, 1.71 m-tall, who will represent her country in Miss World 2016.

Emilia Seppanen (photo, left) came in the 3rd position and will enter the Miss International 2016 contest in Tokyo, Japan.

Lisa Nagashima is Miss Supranational Japan 2016

Lisa Nagashima from Yamagata was crowned Miss Supranational Japan 2016 and will be representing the country at the Miss Supranational 2016 pageant later this year.

1st runner up is Yuki Sonoda from Kagoshima and 2nd runner up Emily Shimizu from Gunma.

    Pooja Priyanka was winner of Miss Fiji World 2016 on May 7, 2016 at The Grand Pacific Hotel, in Suva. She will now get ready to compete in the Miss World 2016 pageant later this year.

    Nanise Raboiliku was the first runner-up, while Vika Fifita got the 2nd runner-up position.

    Tomas Martinka of Czech Republic wins Mister Global 2016

    Tomas Martinka representing Czech Republic was crowned Mister Global 2016 at the Chiang Mai Hall in Chiang Mail Central Plaza Airport in Chiang Mai, Thailand. He was crowned by the outgoing winner Nguyen Van Son from Vietnam.

    Throughout the two-hour event, contestants from 30 countries competed in four categories: Northern Thailand traditional costume, swimwear, evening wear and interview.

    Mister Charming Smile Award: Mister Global Singapore Noel Ng. The judges voted the contestant with the best overall appeal with an emphasize on having a great smile.

    Julia Morley, recipient of the Variety Club Humanitarian Award 2016

    Jersey served as host for the celebration of the lifetime achievements of Miss World CEO Julia Morley, as she received the 2016 Variety Humanitarian Award at the 2016 Variety International World Conference last weekend. Guests from around the world shared their cherished memories of how Julia touched their lives, through video presentations, live appearances and recorded messages.

    After the current Miss World Mireia Lalaguna as well as several former title holders were introduced, Jersey´s own Laura Butlin was the first performer of the night, singing a beautiful self-penned song. Laura’s Grandfather Billy Butlin was the Humanitarian Award winner in 1972.

    Carolyn Carter is Miss Universe US Virgin Islands 2016

    After a few years of absence, the US Virgin Islands will be back in Miss Universe this year. Carolyn Whitney Carter, 26, who competed in Miss World 2010, was appointed as Miss Universe US Virgin Islands 2016 and will try her luck in the international competition later this year.

    Kristina Cincurova wins Miss Slovakia 2016

    18 year old, standing 1.82 m-tall, Kristina Cincurova was crowned Miss Slovakia 2016 and will compete representing her country at the Miss World 2016 pageant later this year.

    Michaela Menkyova finished in second place and will compete in Miss International 2016 to be held in Tokyo, Japan. Third place went to Lenka Tekeljakova who will represent Slovakia at Miss Supranational 2016.

    T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas Will Host Miss USA 2016

    The Miss Universe Organization announced that the 2016 Miss USA competition will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Sunday June 5th with a 3-hour live telecast on FOX at 7 ET/6 Central.

    The event will take place in the brand new T-Mobile Arena, scheduled to open on April 6th. 52 contestants representing each State, the District of Columbia, and the winner of the contest #findMiss52 will compete for the coveted title, with the winner representing the United States in the Miss Universe competition scheduled for December.

    Miss Universe and Miss USA are property of IMG Universe, LLC.

    Keity Drennan Crowned Senorita Panama 2016

    25 year old Keity Drennan from Panama City was crowned Señorita Panamá 2016 during an event held at the Trump International Hotel in Panama City on April 26. She was crowned by last year's winner, Gladys Brandao.

    Standing 1.76m tall, Keity edged out 21 other aspirants for the title after they were carefully evaluated by a panel of judges who scored them in the categories of swimsuits, elegance, beauty and personal interviews. She is not new to the pageant scene, having competed in the Miss International beauty pageant in Chengdu in 2011, where she placed 4th runner-up.

    Drennan currently works as a professional model and she will be the official representative of Panama in Miss Universe 2016 competition to be held later this year.

    In 2nd place came Laura de Sanctis, and in 3rd place was Margareth Villanueva.

    The Miss Universe franchise in Panama was recently awarded to new license holders: Miss Universe 2002, Justine Pasek and Cesar Anel Rodriguez, who in a very short time were able to organize the event to allow enough preparation time for the Panamanian representative.

    It was also announced during the event, that Señorita Panamá 2017 pageant will take place on January 2017.

    Sal Garcias wins Miss Republica Dominicana 2016

    23 year old Rosalba "Sal" Garcías Andrickson, representing Municipio Maimon was crowned Miss Republica Dominicana 2016 during an event held at the La Fiesta theater, at Hotel Jaragua.

    Sal will represent her country at the upcoming Miss Universe 2016 later this year.

    The event organized by Magali Febles marked 60 years of Dominican participation in Miss Universe.

    The first runner-up was Miss Santo Domingo West, Joely Rodriguez Marie Bernat, while the second runner-up was Miss La Vega, Marlenis Carolina Peralta Mészaro.

    Ffion Moyle Crowned Miss Wales 2016

    Bested other 39 beautiful candidates, 23 year old Ffion Moyle was crowned Miss Wales 2016 which was held at the Princess Royal Hotel, in Port Talbot.

    Currently works as a health and beauty consultant, Ffion from Carmarthen will now represent Wales at the Miss World 2016 pageant later this year.

    Sophie Bell, 18, from Swansea was first runner up while Victoria Grinnall, 21, from Newport was second runner up.

    Valeria Piazza wins Miss Peru 2016

    26 year old Valeria Piazza was crowned Miss Peru 2016 and will represent her country in Miss Universe 2016 pageant later this year.

    The 1.74 m-tall beauty was crowned by the outgoing titleholder, Laura Spoya and the reigning Miss Universe 2015 from the Philippines, Pia Wurtzbach.

    Finished as the 1st run-up was Priscilla Howard. She will compete in Miss International 2016 in Tokyo, Japan.

    Danea Panta ended as the 2nd run-up position. She travel to Las Vegas, Nevada to enter the Miss Grand International 2016 competition.

    Bb. Pilipinas 2016 Beauties was Crowned

    25-year old Maria Mika “Maxine” Medina was crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2016 and the overall winner of the Binibining Pilipinas 2016 pageant during the annual finals held at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, Metro Manila last April 17.

    Medina, who was crowned by reigning Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach, hails from Quezon City and stands 1.71m tall. She will now represent her nation during the Miss Universe 2016 competition in December.

    Second place went to Kylie Verzosa, crowned Bb. Pilipinas-International 2016. The 24-year old beauty from Baguio City stands 1.75m tall and will travel to Japan to compete in the Miss International 2016 finals on November 25.

    25 year old Jennifer Hammond won the title of Bb. Pilipinas-Intercontinental 2016. She hails from Laguna and will enter the Miss Intercontinental 2016 expected to be held in Sri Lanka.

    Crowned as Bb. Pilipinas-Supranational 2016 was Joanna Eden from Lucban. She is 19 years old and stands 1.69m tall. She will compete in Miss Supranational 2016.

    Receiving the title of Bb. Pilipinas-Grand 2016 was Nicole Cordovez. The 23 years old lass from Manila stands 1.71m in height and will travel to Las Vegas to compete for the title of Miss Grand International 2016 on October 25.

    And finally, Nichole Marie Manalo won the title of Bb. Pilipinas-Globe and is expected to travel to Albania for the Miss Globe 2016 contest.

    Angelica Alita and Jehza Mae Huelar were named 1st and 2nd runners-up respectively.

    40 beauties competed in the event organized by the Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. under the direction of Madame Stella Marquez de Araneta.

    Yana Dobrovolskaya wins Miss Russia 2016

    18 year old Yana Dobrovolskaya was crowned Miss Russia 2016 during the annual event held at the Barvikha Luxury Village outside Moscow on April 16.

    Yana was born in Tyumen and is currently pursuing a degree in teaching and choreography at the Tyumen State College of Art. She performed at the Winter Olympics in Sochi in 2014. She is expected to represent Russia and compete in the both 2016 editions of Miss World and Miss Universe pageants.

    Yuliana Korolkova was named the 1st run-up and Yulia Khoroshavina was the 2nd run-up.

    Miss Nepal 2016 Winner is Asmee Shrestha

    Asmee Shrestha was crowned the 21st Miss Nepal in a gala grand finale of the national beauty pageant organised by Hidden Treasure at Hotel Annapurna in Kathmandu where 19 beautiful candidates competed.

    Shrestha was crowned by the outgoing Miss Nepal 2015 Evana Manandhar. She will represent her country in the Miss World 2016 contest later this year.

    Roshani Khatri was the first runner-up and will compete in Miss Earth 2016 contest, while Barsha Lekhi was announced the second runner-up and crowned and will enter the Miss International 2016 competition in Japan.

    Priyadarshini Chatterjee wins Femina Miss India 2016

    18 year old Priyadarshini Chatterjee from Guwahati was crowned the winner of the Femina Miss India 2016 during a competition held at the Yash Raj Films Studios on April 9.

    Chatterjee, a student at Delhi University, will represent India in the upcoming Miss World 2016 pageant to be held in October in a venue to be announced soon.

    The 1st runner-up was Sushruti Krishna and the 2nd runner-up was Pankhuri Gidwani. They are expected to represent India in the Miss Supranational and Miss Grand International pageants; however the FMI organization will eventually announce to which competition they will travel to.

    The Reigning Miss World 2015, Spain’s Mireia Lalaguna was a special guest during the ceremony and also acted as one of the judges where 21 finalists competed in the annual event.

    Andrea Bezdekova Crowned Ceska Miss 2016

    21-year old Andrea Bezdekova, a student of Sports Management at Charles University, was crowned Ceska Miss 2016 during the ceremony held at hte Prague’s Municipal House on April 2nd, and televised live by Prima TV.

    Standing 1.74m tall, Bezdekova will represent the Czech Republic on Miss Universe 2016 contest later this year.

    Second place went to 22-year old Natalie Kotkova from Usti nad Labem, who received the title Ceska Miss World and will compete in the Miss World 2016 contest to be held around September. Kotkova is an avid presenter and blogger who owns her own YouTube channel, and has worked as a in-house reporter for Fashion TV. Also an avid sportwoman, Natalia loves hiking, snowboarding, snorkeling, diving, surfing and yoga.

    Kristina Kubickova was the 2nd runner-up, receiving the title Ceska Miss Earth. 10 women competed in the 12th edition of the pageant, which was born in 2005.
