New Miss Tourism Queen Venezuela 2009

Miss Distrito Capital (Caracas) Estefania di Filipo (photo), a 21 year old law student at the Universidad Santa Maria won the Miss Tourism Queen Venezuela 2009 Beauty Pageant. The 1.74m. tall beauty will be representing her country at the Miss Tourism Queen International 2009 Beauty Contest to held in China.

The Pageant took place at the Salon Venezuela del Circulo Militar in Caracas, and was hosted by former Miss Universe Venezuela Carolina Indriago.

Fitimih Davila is Uruguay's bet to Miss World 2008

The 20 year old Fitimih Davila is the representative of Uruguay to Miss World 2008 Beauty Pageant on December to be held in Johannesburg, South Africa. She won the Miss Universo Uruguay 2006 and represented the country at the Miss Universe 2006 Beauty Contest.

Fitimah was born in Punta del Este and stands tall at 5'11". Reading and dancing, swimming, running and rollerblading are her hobbies. She was working now as a professional model in her country.

    The traditional question and answer portion of the top 8 semi-finalists was replaced by the candidates video saying something about themselves and how they can help and protect our environment. Then, the Evening Gown Competition followed.

    After answering the grueling and nerve rocking final question.

    The moment of truth finally arrived. The new winner of Miss Earth 2008 Beauty Pageant is Miss Philippines, Karla Paula G. Henry. She is from Cebu City and is 21 years old. Karla stands tall at 174cm.

    Miss Earth Air 2008 (1st runner-up) goes to Miss Tanzania, Miriam Odemba. The 25 year old beauty from Arusha is one of the early favorites this year because of her personality and catwalk skills. She stands 175cm. tall.

    Miss Mexico, Abigail Elizalde ranked the place of Miss Earth Water 2008 (2nd runner-up). She is a native of Torreon and stands very tall at 183cm. Abigail is 23 years of age.

    The title of Miss Earth Fire 2008 (3rd runner-up) was given to Miss Brazil, Tatiane Alves. She is a native of Conselheiro Lafaiete. Tatiane is 24 years old and stands 176cm. tall.

    Karla is the first Filipina and first Asian to win the coveted title. The new beauty queen is half Filipino and half Canadian. She was crowned by the last year's Miss Earth 2007 Jessica Nicole Trisko who happens to be half Filipino and half Canadian also.

    Miss Earth 2008 was held at the Amphitheater in Pampanga, Philippines last November 9. Hosting the event are international R&B artist Billy Crawford, Miss Earth 2004 Priscilla Meirelles and Miss Earth Canada 2006 Riza Santos. The evening started with the delegates' video introducing themselves wearing thier respective National Costumes.

    Alejandra Andreu, Miss Spain is Miss International 2008

    The 18 year old Miss Spain, Alejandra Andreu won the 2008 Miss International Beauty Pageant. She was crowned by the last year's Miss International, Priscilla Perales of Mexico.

    Alejandra comes from Zaragosa. She hopes to study visual communications, and just graduated from high school months ago. The 173cm. tall beauty says says that she keeps a healthy lifestyle, but the most important thing is enjoying life. She is also the 3rd Miss International Titleholder from Spain.

    Close to the title, the first runner-up goes to Miss Colombia, María Cristina Diaz Granados. She is 22 years of age and stands 5'8" tall. She is from Valledupar.

    The second runnner-up title was given to the 23 year old Miss Poland, Anna Tarnowska. She comes from Szczecin and standing tall at 5'10".

    Miss China, Chang Wei Liu was the third runner-up. Her hometown is Beijing. She is 21 years old and stands tall at 5'9".

    Completing the top 5 finalist is Miss Czech Republic, Zuzana Putnarova who is the fourth runner-up. She is only 21 years old and very tall at 5'11".

    The Top 12 finalists took part in a “Dance Off Showdown” or more like a Table Dance section, where they had to jump on a small stage and show their dancing moves to the rhythm of “When I Grow Up” by the Pussycat Dolls and “4 Minutes” by Madonna. This dance performance is part of the final score.

    The evening starts with 63 delegates competing for the coveted title of Miss International 2008 held at the Venetian Macao-Resort-Hotel, in Macau. Wearing their national costumes while introducing themselves. Here are some photos:

    The next round is the swimsuit competition. With bubbles, acrobats hanging from the roof and pop music, the 63 contestants are showing off their attributes.

    Miss Earth 2008 Talent & Fashion Design Competition

    Last November 2, the Talent Competition of Miss Earth 2008 Beauty Pageant was held at the Tamayo's Villa Immaculada Manila City, Philippines. The winner of the competition was Miss Australia, Rachael Smith.

    In the same event, the first ever Miss Earth Fashion Design Competition Finals was also held. Ivan Raborar, a fashion designer based in South Cotabato bagged the top award for this category. His inspiration was by a native tribe in the South Philippines was which was worn by Miss Philippines, Karla Paula Henry. And with that, Ivan will recieve a cash prize of $1,000.00 in cash.

    Pasigandahan Awards were also given named after the various cities of Metro Manila to the winning delegates:
