Danielle Castano - The New Miss Philippines World 2008

Due to the cause of quitting to compete of Bb. Pilipinas World 2008 Janina San Miguel, the Bb. Pilipinas 2008 1st runner-up Danielle Kirsten Muriel Castano will be competing at the Miss World 2008 Beauty Pageant in Johannesburg, South Africa.



Danielle is 18 years old and loves to do boxing, running, and going to the gym. She was one of the top favorites at the Bb. Pilipinas 2008 Beauty Pageant. Aside from winning the 1st run-up title, Danielle also won several special awards namely: Miss Photogenic, Miss Bacchus Energy Drink, Miss Ever Bilena, Miss Philippine Airlines and Miss Natasha Poise and Grace.

Bb. Pilipinas World 2008 Janina San Miguel is the Philippines representative to Miss World 2008 Beauty Contest has reportedly quitting to compete at the pageant.

Janina who once famous by winning the "Bb. Pilipinas 2008 Crown. Because of her poor english and public speaking skills during the question and answer portion, Janina became more popular, specially when one of the judges offered her to have a free english course.

Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc (BPCI) made an press release about the news cited as reason for her decision the recent death of his grandfather.

“The untimely demise of her grandfather, among other personal reasons, has caused her undue stress, thus hindering her from fulfilling her duties for the said title," the BPCI statement read.

"BPCI wishes to express its gratitude to Ms. San Miguel for this act of graciousness and concern for the country. They also wish her well in her future endeavors," it added.



According to BCPI’s rules and regulations, 1st Runner-Up Danielle Castano will replace San Miguel as the official Philippine representative who will vie for the Ms. World 2008 Beauty Pageant to be held in Johannesburg, South Africa

Dominican Republic's bet for Miss International 2008 & 2009

Crowned as the new Miss Dominican Republic International or locally known as Reina Nacional de la Belleza 2008 was the 20 year old Victoria Fernandez (photo). She stands 1.78m tall and currently a Marketing student with a degree in International Business. She will be competing in Miss International 2009 Beauty Pageant in Japan.

The winner of Miss Dominican Republic International 2007 Pageant or locally known as Reina Nacional de Belleza Miss Republica Dominicana 2007 was Claudia Mabel Pena Gomez. She is 19 years of age and stands 5 feet 10 inches tall. She will be competing at the Miss International 2008 Beauty Pageant to be held in Macau on November 8.

Miss Switzerland 2008 is Whitney Toyloy

Representing Yverdon, Whitney Toyloy crowned as the new Miss Switzerland 2008 and she will be competing in the Miss Universe 2009 Beauty Pageant.

A daughter of an American father, Whitney stands 177cm. tall. She was also awarded as Miss Photogenic Award.

Declared as the runners-up were Rekha Datta of Zürich (1st), and Lisa Panigada (2nd).
Rest of the top six were: Emilie Lindblom, Dominique Knill , and Alessia Novak.
Awarded as Miss Congeniality was Alessia Novak.

Mongolia's Bet to Miss International 2008

Representing Mongolia at the Miss International 2008 Beauty Pageant in Macau and Japan is the 20 year old O. Khulangoo (photo) who won the Miss Mongolia 2008 Contest held at Ulaanbaatar.

The runners-up were E. Selenge, P. Shuudertsetseg, G. Bolortsetseg and N. Chimedlkha. They will have a chance to compete in some international beauty contests such as Miss Intercontinental, Miss Global City", Miss Tourism, and Top Model of the World.

Almost 150 beautiful contestants took part at the Miss Mongolia 2008 Pageant. And just 21 ladies competed in the final round.

Bet of New Zealand at Miss International 2008

The representative of New Zealand at Miss International 2008 Beauty Pageant is Rhonda Grant, a 22-year old health promotion co-ordinator with the National Heart Foundation in Napier. She graduated from the Palmerston North campus in May with a Bachelor of Science in human nutrition.

Rhonda stands 1.78m. tall. She is a runner-up in last year's Miss Manawatu beauty contest and, in April, finished third in the Miss Universe New Zealand 2008 pageant.

"Miss International Beauty Pageant is rated as one of the top beauty pageants in the world along with Miss Universe and Miss World," she says.

"The contest runs over three weeks. We go to Japan first and then to Macau for the pageant. I'm really excited and honoured to be chosen and will do my best to represent New Zealand well and meet some fantastic people." Rhonda added.

Mister and Miss Mauritius 2008

A 22 year old Law student from Curepipe, Anais Veerapatren won the Miss Mauritius 2008 Beauty Contest last September 20. She stands 1.83m. tall. Anais will represent her country at Miss Tourism Queen International, Miss Universe and Miss World 2009 Pageants.

Declared as the runners-up were Laura Grenouille (1st), and Rachel Lacharmante (2nd). Twelve lovely contestants competed in the annual event.

In that night also have chosen this year's Mister Mauritius, Asvin Chummoo. The 19 year old will compete in the Mister World 2008 Competition.

Miss Mexico 2008 Beauties Was Crowned

During a beauty pageant telecast live from the Monterrey Arena in Nuevo Leon, a 20 year old student of graphic design from Guadalajara (Jalisco), Karla Maria Carrillo Gonzalez was crowned the new Nuestra Belleza Mexico 2008 or Miss Mexico 2008. Karla stands 1.76m tall and she will represent her country at Miss Universe 2009.

Declared as Nuestra Belleza Mundo Mexico 2008 or Miss Mexico World was Perla Judith Beltran Acosta a 21 year old from Guamuchil (Sinaloa). She stands 1.78m. tall and will represent Mexico at the Miss World 2009 beauty contest.

Laura Zuniga from Sinaloa was chosen as the 1st run-up and will compete in the Miss International 2009 Beauty Pageant. While the 2nd run-up title was given to Cecilia Montano of Sonora and the 3rd runner up was Paulina Hernandez from Baja California Norte.

32 beautiful candidates competed in the 15th anniversary of Nuestra Belleza Mexico. event organized by former Miss Universe Lupita Jones since 1994.

Hosting the event were Alfredo Adame and former Miss Mexico 2000 and also famous actress Jackeline Bracamontes. The celebrity panel of judges includes the reigning Miss International 2007, Priscila Perales; Blanca Soto, Miss Mexico World 1997; Carolina Moran, Miss Mexico World 2007; and Gabriel Soto, former Mister Mexico and actor.

Pampanga To Be The Host Venue for 2008 Miss Earth

The reigning Miss Earth 2007 Jessica Nicole Trisko together with the Miss Philippines Earth 2008 Winners just had a press conference last September 16, 2008 to announce that the province of Pampanga in Northern Philippines will be the new host venue for this year's edition of Miss Earth Beauty Pageant.

The Ambassador Sala of the Traders Hotel in Manila, the official residence of the Miss Earth 2008 Beauty Contest's candidates was filled with VIP guests and media to welcome Jessica Trisko and formally launch the 8th glorious year of Miss Earth Beauty Pageant.

Miss Earth 2008 Beauty Contest will be held on the 9th of November at the CLARK EXPO AMPHITHEATER in Pampanga and will be aired over ABS-CBN, with more than 80 candidates all over the globe to competed for the coveted title. Both TFC and Star World will air the beauty pageant.

Miss Germany 2008 was Crowned

Miss Germany 2008 Beauty Pageant or locally called as Miss Deutschlands 2008 have chosen their three Beauty Queens to represent their country to international Beauty Contests.

Dajana Schult (photo)was chosen as Miss Earth Deutschland or Miss Earth Germany. She is 25 years old and stands 174cm. tall. She will be competing in Pampanga, Philippines for Miss Earth 2008 Pageant on November 9.

Katja Bondarenko was declared as Miss International Deutschland. She is from Niedersachsen and she will be competing at the Miss International 2008 Beauty Pageant to be held in Macau.

And Linda Leiste was chosen as Miss Intercontinental Deutschland. She is an 18 year old native of Brandenburg. Linda was also the 2nd runner-up at the Miss Germany World 2008 Contest. She will be competing at the 2008 Miss Intercontinental Beauty Pageant.

Anna Mezentseva is bet of Russia to Miss Earth 2008

Anna Mezentseva was crowned as the new representative of Russia for this year's Miss Earth Beauty Pageant to be held in Pampanga, Philippines on November 9.

Anna is 23 years old and is a professional fashion model and translator. She stands 180m. tall and she has been organized a program called "City Breath" which goal is to avoid air and water pollution.

Ivy Leow Kian Peng is Miss Singapore Earth 2008

Ivy Leow Kian Peng (right) was recently crowned as the 2008 Miss Singapore Earth in a beauty pageant held at the Arena at Clark Quay. The event was attended by the reigning Miss Philippines Earth 2008 Karla Paula Henry (left) together with the current Miss Earth Jessica Nicole Trisko of Canada.

Ivy is 24 years old and working as an IT analyst. She will rerpresent her country at the Miss Earth 2008 Beauty Contest to be held in Pampanga, Philippines on November 13.
