The first ever German to be crowned Miss World in 1956, Petra Susanna Schurmann dies at the age of 74 last January 13.
Petra worked as a television presenter in Germany for many years after her reign. She was expected to attend the Miss World 2010 as they celebrate it's 60th year to be held in Vietnam.
