Chulakshi Ranathunga wins Siyatha Lux Miss World Sri Lanka 2014

25 year old Chulakshi Saubhagya Ranathunga was crowned Siyatha Lux Miss World Sri Lanka 2014 held at the Hilton Colombo on August 5.

Standing 1.72m tall, Chulakshi will represent Sri Lanka in Miss World 2014 in London, England on December 14.

Ashvini Peiris and Anita Papali finished in second and third place, respectively.

Meet Miss Bahamas 2014 Winners

The Miss Bahamas 2014 pageant took place at the Atlantis Paradise Island in Nassau last August 3.

19 year old Rosetta Cartwright was crowned Miss World Bahamas 2014 during the matinee segment of the event.

Standing 1.78m tall, Rosetta will represent Bahamas in Miss World 2014 in London, England on December 14.

Shanae Strachan was the first runner-up and Chantel O'Brien was the second runner-up.

Meanwhile at the same event, 22 year old Tomacina Culmer was crowned Miss Universe Bahamas 2014 during the evening segment.

Standing 1.80m tall, Tomacina will enter the Miss Universe 2014 contest later this year.

Rokara Hepburn was the first runner-up and Ominique Burrows was the second runner-up.

Jaynene Lewis wins Miss British Virgin Islands 2014

24 year old Jaynene Jno Lewis was crowned Miss British Virgin Islands 2014 held at the Multi-Purpose Sports Complex in Road Town on August 3. She will represent the British Virgin Islands in Miss Universe 2014.

Doneisha Maduro was the first runner-up and Aribella Parsons was the second runner-up.

Rosanna Chichester is Miss World British Virgin Islands 2014

23 year old Rosanna Kathrine Chichester, the outgoing Miss British Virgin Islands 2013, was crowned Miss World Virgin Islands 2014 during the Miss British Virgin Islands 2014 pageant held at the Multi-Purpose Complex in Road Town on August 3. She will represent the British Virgin Islands in Miss World 2014 in London, England on December 14.

Chichester was expected to compete in Miss Universe 2014 but the Miss British Virgin Islands committee decided to send the newly crowned Miss British Virgin Islands 2014, Jaynene Jno Lewis to Miss Universe 2014.

Debora Menicucci crowned Miss Venezuela Mundo 2014

24 year old Debora Sacha Menicucci Anzola from Caracas was crowned Miss Venezuela Mundo 2014 held at the Estudio Uno of Venevision in Caracas on August 2.

Standing 1.80m tall Debora will represent Venezuela in Miss World 2014 in London, England on December 14.

Adriana Marval and Erika Pinto finished in second and third place, respectively.

Brumhilda Ochs wins Miss Namibia 2014

22 year old Brumhilda Ochs was crowned Miss Namibia 2014 at the Windhoek County Club Resort on August 2. She will represent Namibia in Miss World 2014 in London, England on December 14 and/or Miss Universe 2014.

Bernedine Kubersky was the first runner-up and Anienke Karsten was the second runner-up.

Romina Rocamonje Fuentes wins Miss Bolivia 2014

21 year old Romina Rocamonje Fuentes from Beni was crowned Miss Bolivia Universo 2014 during the Miss Bolivia 2014 pageant held at the Siriono Hall of the Fexpocruz in Santa Cruz de la Sierra on July 31.

Standing 1.72m tall, Romina will represent Bolivia in Miss Universe 2015.

25 year old Neidy Andrea Forfori Aguilera from Santa Cruz de la Sierra was crowned Miss Bolivia Mundo 2014. She stands 1.78m tall and will enter the Miss World 2014 in London, England on December 14.

Joselyn Toro Leigue, 20 years of age also from Santa Cruz de la Sierra was crowned Miss Bolivia Internacional 2014. She stands 1.79m tall and will go to Miss International 2014 in Tokyo, Japan.

Mis un Misters Latvija (Miss & Mister Latvia) 2014 Winners

The Mis un Misters Latvija 2014 / Miss and Mister Latvia 2014 pageant took place at the Avalon Hotel in Riga last July 31.

Lasma Zemene was crowned Mis Latvija 2014. She will be the official representative of Latvia in Miss World 2015 next year.

Malvine Stucka was her runner-up.

Meanwhile, at the same event, Kristaps Vilde won the Misters Latvija 2014 title and will compete in Mister World if the international pageant is held during his reign.

Martids Line was his runner-up.

Hikaru Kawai crowned Miss World Japan 2014

Hikaru Kawai won the title of Miss World Japan 2014 during the national pageant took place at the Ana Intercontinental Hotel in Tokyo on July 31. She will represent Japan in Miss World 2014 in London, England on December 14.

Asayu Kubota, Eri Yasuda and Hitomi Yoshioka were the runners-up.

Aline Morger wins Miss World Switzerland 2014

19 year old Aline Morger from Lucerne was crowned Miss World Switzerland 2014 at the Sektor11 Event Hall in Zürich on July 26. She will represent Switzerland in Miss World 2014 in London, England on December 14.

The first runner-up was Dijana Cvijetic and the second runner-up was Anja Koller.

Miss World Trinidad & Tobago 2014 is Sarah Waddell

24 year old Sarah Jane Waddell won the title of Miss World Trinidad and Tobago 2014 during the national finals held at the Central Bank Auditorium in Port of Spain on July 27.

Sarah Jane will now be the official representative of Trinidad and Tobago in Miss World 2014 pageant to take place in London, England on December 14.

Jessica Didier and Afeya Jeffery finished in second and third place, respectively.

Courtney Thorpe wins Miss World Australia 2014

23 year old Courtney Thorpe from Queensland was crowned Miss World Australia 2014 during the national finals held at the Cypress Lakes Resort in Pokolbin in Hunter Valley on July 27th.

Courtney currently works as an actress, model, dancer, stylist and student of journalism. She will now represent Australia during the Miss World 2014 finals to be held in London, England, on December 14.

Alex Hecker was the first runner-up and Laura Jane Corker was the second runner-up.

Laila da Costa wins Miss Guine-Bissau 2014

19 year old Laila da Costa was crowned Miss Guiné-Bissau 2014 at the Azalaï Hôtel 24de Setembro in Bissau on July 26.

Laila will be the official representative of Guinea-Bissau in Miss World 2014 in London, England on December 14.

Sharr Htut Eaindra wins Miss Universe Myanmar 2014

20 year old Sharr Htut Eaindra was crowned Miss Universe Myanmar 2014 at the National Theatre of Yangon last July 26.

Standing 1.71m tall, Sharr Htut will represent Myanmar in Miss Universe 2014 pageant.

The first runner-up was Yoon Mhi Mhi Kyaw and the second runner-up was Shwe Sin Ko Ko.

Charlene Sulueti Tafunai'i wins Miss Fiji 2014

Pacific Harbour in Fiji, served as host for the finals of Miss World Fiji 2014 held at the Pearl South Pacific Resort in Pacific Harbour last July 26. The winner, who will represent her country in Miss World 2014, in London, on December 14, is Charlene Sulueti Tufanai’i. She is 20 years old and hails from Nadi.

Asena Rokotuiwai and Vasiti Radekedeke finished in second and third place, respectively.

Larissa Ngangoum wins Miss Cameroun 2014

24 year old Larissa Ngangoum from Yaounde was crowned Miss Cameroun 2014 at the Palais des Congrès in Yaoundé on July 25.

Standing 1.80m tall, Larissa will represent Cameroon in Miss World 2014 in London, England on December 14.

The first runner-up was Florence Ngasse Epee and the second runner-up was Genevieve Abbe.

Edina Kulcsar wins Magyarorszag Szepe (Miss Hungary) 2014

24 year old Edina Kulcsar from Budapest was crowned Miss World Hungary 2014 at the conclusion of the Magyarorszag Szepe 2014 pageant held at the MTV studios in Budapest on July 20.

Edina will represent Hungary in Miss World 2014 in London, England on December 14.

The first runner-up was Gitta Katona and the second runner-up was Sydney Van den Bosch.

Poland's representative to Miss Universe 2014 is Marcela Chmielowska

23 year old Marcela Chmielowska from Nowy Sacz was appointed to receive the title of Miss Universe Poland 2014.

Standing 1.75m tall, Marcela will represent Poland in Miss Universe 2014 pageant. Her designation is due to the rescheduling of the Miss Polonia pageant to December 2014.

20 year old Jessica Hayes was crowned Miss Ireland 2014 at the Ballsbridge Hotel in Dublin on July 19.

Jessica will be the official representative of Ireland in Miss World 2014 pageant to take place in London, England on December 14.

Shannon Howe was the first runner-up and Fionnuala Short was the second runner-up.

Iheoma Nnadi is The Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria 2014

19 year old Iheoma Nnadi (19) was the overall winner of the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria 2014 pageant and was crowned Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria World 2014 at the Gabriel Okara Cultural Center in Yenagoa on July 18.

Iheoma will represent Nigeria in Miss World 2014 competition in London, England on December 14.

The first runner-up was Celestine Queen (22) and was crowned Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria Universe 2014. She will represent enter the Miss Universe 2014 contest. The second runner-up was Chinyere Adogu.

Miss Korea 2014 is Seo-yeon Kim

22 year old Seo-yeon Kim was crowned Miss Korea 2014 at the Olympic Hall in Seoul last July 15.

Standing 1.73m tall, Kim will represent Korea in Miss Universe 2015 next year.

Soo-min Shin and Seo-bin Lee were the runners-up.

Victoria Tooby crowned Miss International UK 2014-15

Victoria Tooby was crowned Miss International UK 2014-2015 at the Palace Hotel in Manchester last July 13. She will represent United Kingdom in Miss International 2014 in Tokyo, Japan on November 11.

Rocio Tormo Esquinas wins Miss International Spain 2014

21 year old Rocio Tormo Esquinas was crowned Miss International Spain 2014 at the Benidorm Palace in Alicante on July 12.

Rocio from Barcelona will represent Spain in Miss International 2014 in Tokyo, Japan on November 11.

Tokyo, Japan will host Miss International 2014

The Kokusai Bunka Kyokai, organizers of the Miss International beauty pageant since 1971, announced that this year’s edition of the contest will take place in the Hiten Main Banquet Hall of the Hiten Grand Prince Hotel New Takanawa in Tokyo (Japan) on Tuesday, November 11th.

70 candidates from all over the globe will arrive in Japan on October 27th to attend the schedule of traditional activities such as the election of Miss Photogenic, Press Presentation and the Miss International Forum, among others.

The Hiten Banquet Hall offers the latest in technology and can accomodate up to 5,000 people. The pageant will have a live webcast that will show the coronation of a new Miss International. The reigning titleholder is Philippines’ Bea Rose Santiago.

The Miss International competition belongs to the “Grand Slam of Beauty Pageants” established by Global Beauties in 1998, due to its duration and tradition. Its current status is of “Grand Prix”.

Miss International Beauty Pageant 2014

Miss International was formerly known as Miss International Beauty or The International Beauty Pageant. It was highly acclaimed to be one of the four biggest and grandest international beauty competitions in the world.

The main theme of the pageant was to promote world peace, understanding and goodwill among nations. The delegates are not judged on physical beauty alone, they must serve as a "Ambassadors of Peace and Beauty", showcasing the benevolence, tenderness, beauty and intelligence, ability to take words and action publicly, and great international sensibility of a woman.
