Laurie-Ann Chin wins Miss Jamaica World 2014

21 year old Laurie-Ann Chin was crowned Miss Jamaica World 2014 at the Montego Bay Convention Center on July 12.

Standing 1.73m tall, Laurie-Ann will represent Jamaica in Miss World 2014 in London, England on December 14.

The first runner-up was Shelliann Young and the second runner-up was Kimberly Webb.

Elizabeth Safrit wins Miss United States 2014

North Carolina's Elizabeth Safrit was crowned Miss United States 2014 at the Sphinx Club in Washington, District of Columbia on July 6.

Standing 1.75m tall, Elizabeth from Kannapolis is a senior at the University of South Carolina and is currently pursuing her degree in political science with a minor in journalism. She hopes to further a career in broadcast journalism after she obtains her graduate degree. She aspires to become a political news analyst for a major news network. Safrit will now be the official representative of USA in Miss World 2014 in London, England on December 14.

Mae-Ann Web (South Carolina) was the first runner-up and Vincenza Carrieri-Russo (Delaware) was the second runner-up. The third runner-up was Katy Moody (Kentucky) and the fourth runner-up was Khari Siegfried (Pennsylvania).

Jessica Escamilla (Alabama), Tia McDonald (Florida), Jessica Versteeg (Iowa), Renata de Carvalho (Massachusetts) and Jennifer de Cillis (New Jersey) were the top ten semi-finalists.

Lauren Hickey (Hawaii), Chelsie Folden (Ohio), Rachel White (Texas), Jordan Davis (Tennessee), Raven Reed (Vermont) and Natasha Dirk (Wyoming) were the top sixteen quarter-finalists.

Miss United States, a beauty contest headquarted in Washington DC, starts working with MWO this year. As a matter of fact, Miss World Megan Young was present at the event, which took place in DC.

In the last decade or so, the American representative in Miss World had been selected by a modeling agency. It’s without a doubt an important stepstone for the pageant in the US.

The new Miss United States has been envolved with charity activities for quite a while, which makes her the perfect candidate to represent her country in the world’s numer 1 beauty competition.

Lillian Lightbourn wins Miss Bermuda 2014

24 year old Lillian Lightbourn was crowned Miss Bermuda 2014 at the Fairmont Southampton Hotel on July 6. She will represent Bermuda in Miss World 2014 in London, England on December 14.

Siairah Minors and Khianda Pearman-Watson finished in second and third place, respectively.

Ismini Dafopoulou wins Miss Universe Greece 2014

22 year old Ismini Dafopoulou from Athens crowned as the new Miss Universe Greece 2014.

Standing 1.78m tall, Ismini will represent Greece in Miss Universe 2014.

Meanwhile, on the same event, 20 year old Eleni Kokkinou also from Athens is named Miss World Greece 2014. She stands tall at 1.79m and will enter the Miss World 2014 contest in London, England on December 14.

The representatives were selected through a casting call organized in Athens on July 4.

Julia Furdea crowned Miss Osterreich 2014

19 year old Julia Furdea from Asten was crowned Miss Osterreich 2014 at the conclusion of the Miss Austria pageant held at the Grand Casino Baden on July 3.

Standing 1.70m tall, Julia will represent Austria in Miss World 2014 in London, England on December 14 and/or Miss Universe 2014.

Nadine Stroitz was the first runner-up and Katharina Nahlik was the second runner-up.

Miss Mauritius 2014 is Khusboo Ramnawaj

24 year old Khusboo Ramnawaj was crowned Miss Mauritius 2014 at the Johnson & Johnson Auditorium in Vacoas-Phoenix on June 28. She will represent Mauritius in Miss Universe 2015 next year.

19 year old Aurellia Begue finished in second place and was crowned Miss World Mauritius 2014. She will compete in Miss World 2015. Anoushka Ah Keng (19) finished in third place and was crowned Miss International Mauritius 2014. Dominique Klein and Eteesha Busawon completed the top five.

Elise Gronnesby crowned Miss Universe Norway 2014

18 year old Elise Dalby Gronnesby from Hamar was crowned Miss Universe Norway 2014 at the Kragero Resort last June 28.

Standing 1.80m tall, Elise Dalby will represent Norway in Miss Universe 2014.

Thea Cecilie Nordal Bull and Martine Rodseth Hjoørungdal finished in second and third place, respectively.

Samantha Brooks of CA wins Miss U.S International 2014

The 2014 Miss U.S. International was held at the East Main Gate Inn in Kissimmee, Florida on June 27. Two beauties were crowned at the conclusion of the event.

23 year old Samantha Brooks, from California, was crowned as Miss U.S. International 2014 and will represent the USA in the Miss International Beauty pageant to be held in Tokyo, Japan, November 11.

Meanwhile, Allyn Rose from Maryland was crowned Miss U.S. Supranational 2014. A former Miss Maryland USA and Miss District of Columbia (for Miss America), Allyn will travel to Poland to compete in the international finals of Miss Supranational to be held on December 5.

38 delegates competed in the beauty pageant organized by Harrison Productions.

Anne-Sophie Desiree is Miss Monde Guadeloupe 2014

20 year old Anne-Sophie Desiree from Gosier is the new Miss Monde Guadeloupe 2014 winner.

Standing 1.74m tall, Anne-Sophie will represent Guadeloupe in Miss World 2014 in London, England on December 14.

Grace Levy wins Miss Universe GB 2014

24 year old Grace Levy from Titchfield was crowned Miss Universe GB 2014 at The Gate Arts Center in Cardiff on June 21.

Standing 1.81m tall, Grace will represent Great Britain in Miss Universe 2014.

Anna Burdzy and Sophie Loudon finished in second and third place, respectively.

Maeya Nonthawan Thongleng is Miss Thailand World 2014

22 year old Maeya Nonthawan Thongleng from Surat Thani was crowned Miss Thailand World 2014 at the Bangkok Convention Center on June 21.

Standing 1.76m tall, Maeya will represent Thailand in Miss World 2014 in London, England on December 14.

Venus Nanthachai was the first runner-up and Chatrarika Sitthipom was the second runner-up.

Pla Disayadamrong wins Miss Grand Thailand 2014

Porapassorn “Pla” Disayadamrong, a 23-year-old student of Rangsit University, was crowned Miss Grand Thailand 2014 at the pageant contest held at the Centara Grand & Bangkok Convention Centre at CentralWorld. She will receive awards worth about Bt6 million and will represent Thailand in the Miss Grand International 2014 pageant to be held in Bangkok on October 7.

Meanwhile, 25-year old Annya Mongkolthai was crowned Miss Supranational Thailand and will fly to Poland to compete for the Miss Supranational 2014 title on December 5.

Warankanang Wutthayakorn (22) was crowned Miss Tourism Thailand and will represent the country in the Miss Tourism International finals to be held in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) on December 31.

Sasi Sintawee (20) and Patraporn Wang (19) were crowned Thailand’s representatives for the Miss Earth in Macau and Miss Intercontinental pageants respectively.

Carina Tyrell crowned Miss England 2014

24 year old Carina Tyrell from Cambridge won the title of Miss England 2014 during a pageant held at the Riviera International Conference Center in Torquay on June 16.

Carina will be the official representative of England in Miss World 2014 in London on December 14.

Holly Desai and Mary Kate McKay finished in second and third place, respectively.

Nicklas Pedersen of Denmark wins Mister World 2014

23 year old Mr. Denmark, Nicklas Pedersen wins Mr. World 2014 with a fantastic presentation and the best speech, Denmark beat the odds and became a deserving winner. The event was held at the Riviera International Conference Center in Torquay, England on June 15.

The first runner-up was Emmanuel Ifeanyichukwu Ikubese (Nigeria), who was the biggest surprise of this year´s pageant, while the second runner-up was Jose Pablo Minor Medrano (Mexico).

Zuemerik Clementino Richard Veeris (Curaçao), Jordan Paul Rhys Williams (England), Prateik Jain (India), Valeriu Gutu (Moldova), Demian Overduyn (Netherlands), Alberto Horacio Martínez Kezner (Puerto Rico), and Bohdan Iusypchuk (Ukraine) completed the top ten semi-finalists.

England, India, Mexico, Puerto Rico and Ukraine were selected to the top ten through the panel of judges. Curaçao, Denmark, Moldova, Netherlands and Nigeria were fast-tracked into the top ten by winning a series of challenge events: Extreme Sports, Multimedia, Talent, Sportsman and Style. Mister World Extreme Sportsman 2014 was Valeriu Gutu (Moldova), Mister World Multimedia 2014 was Demian Overduyn (Netherlands), Mister World Talent 2014 was Zuemerik Clementino Richard Veeris (Curaçao), Mister World Sportsman 2014 was Nicklas Pedersen (Denmark) and Mister World Style 2014 was Emmanuel Ifeanyichukwu Ikubese (Nigeria).

Margaret Murray is Miss Sierra Leone 2014

Margaret Murray was crowned Miss Sierra Leone 2014 at the Bintumani International Conference Center in Freetown on June 14. She will represent Sierra Leone in Miss World 2014 pageant in London, England on December 14.

Josephine Kamara and Davida Mariama Sesay finished in second and third place, respectively.

Thabiso Phiri wins Miss Zimbabwe 2014

22 year old Thabiso Phiri was crowned Miss Zimbabwe 2014 at the Mabvazuva Village in Harare on June 14. She will represent Zimbabwe in Miss World 2014 in London, England on December 14.

Tendai Hunda was the first runner-up and Letwin Tatenda Chinomona was the second runner-up.

Miss Mondo Italia 2014 winner is Silvia Cataldi

24 year old Silvia Cataldi from Sannicola was crowned Miss Mondo Italia 2014 at the Area Bleu Salento in Gallipoli on June 13.

Standing 1.83m tall, Silvia will represent Italy in Miss World 2014 in London, England on December 14.

Rachelle Mori and Anna Faccin finished in second and third place, respectively.

Yomatzy Hazlewood De la Rosa is Miss Panama Universo 2014

23 year old Yomatzy Maurineth Hazlewood De la Rosa from Panama City was crowned Miss Panama Universo 2014 during the annual Miss Panama event at the RIU Hotel in Panama City on June 12.

Standing 1.76m tall, Yomatzy represented the province of Darien will be the official representative of Panama in the 2014 Miss Universe pageant. She is the 3rd black woman to win the Miss Panama title in the pageant’s 63 year history, and the 4th to represent Panama in Miss Universe.

The 1st runner-up was Miss Las Tablas, Stephanie Gonzalez who will travel to Germany to compete in Miss Intercontinental 2014. Thw 2nd runner-up was Miss Panama Oeste, Carmen Jaramillo who was crowned as Miss Latinoamericana del Mundo.

The remaining finalists were Miss Santiago (Leydili Caballero, 4th place), Miss Ocu (Elida Navarro, 5th place) and Miss Chame (Nicole Pinto, 6th place).

Miss Portobelo (Keisy Amaya) was chosen Miss Photogenic.

Karina Gonzalez (Nuestra Belleza Mexico 2012), Hector Joaquin Colon (Puerto Rican missologist, blogger and presenter) and Stephanie Vander Werf (Miss Panama 2012) were among the judges.
