Nevada's Nia Sanchez wins Miss USA 2014

24 year old Nia Sanchez from Las Vegas, Nevada was crowned as the new Miss USA 2014 held at the Baton Rouge River Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana last June 8.

Standing 1.75m tall, Nia will be the official entry of USA in Miss Universe 2014 pageant later this December.

The first runner-up was Audra Mari (North Dakota), the second runner-up was Tiana Griggs (Georgia), the third runner-up was Brittany Alyson Guidry (Louisiana), the fourth runner-up was Brittany Oldehoff (Florida) and the fifth runner-up was Carlyn Bradarich (Iowa), who was voted via Twitter by fans online to advance into the top 5.

Cassandra Kunze (California), Taylor Burton (Maryland), Christina Zapolski (South Carolina) and Bishara Dorre (Wisconsin) completed the top ten semifinalists.

Jesica Ahlberg (Alabama), Jordan Wesselwere (Arizona), Mekayla Diehl (Indiana), Haley O'Brien (Minnesota), Amanda Soltero (Nebraska), Emily Shah (New Jersey), Brooklynne Young (Oklahoma), Valerie Gatto (Pennsylvania), Kristy Landers Niedenfuer (Tennessee) and Arielle Sage Rosmarino (Virginia) were the top twenty quarterfinalists.

Cassandra Kunze (California) was selected as Miss Photogenic and Christina Palavra (Rhode Island) became Miss Congeniality.

Anna Andres wins Miss Ukraine Universe 2014

20 year old Anna Andres from Lviv was crowned Miss Ukraine Universe 2014 at the Intercontinental Kyiv in Kiev on June 5.

Standing 1.76m tall, Anna will represent Ukraine in Miss Universe 2014 pageant on December.

Aiapra With wins Miss Suriname 2014

Aiapra With recently crowned as the new Miss Suriname 2014 held at the Congress Hall in Paramaribo last June 6.

Aiapra is expected to compete representing Suriname in Miss World 2014 contest on December 14 in London, England.

Rasheeda Sweet finished as 1st run-up, while Jennifer Gobind was the 2nd run-up.

Jennifer Kolo Yeo wins Miss Cote d'Ivoire 2014

18 year old Jennifer Kolo Yeo from Abidjan was crowned as the new Miss Cote d’Ivoire 2014 at the Sofitel Hotel Ivoire in Abidjan last June 7.

Standing 1.80m tall, Jennifer Kolo will be the official representative of Cote d'Ivoire in Miss World 2014 in London, England on November 14.

Samira Traboulsi placed 2nd and Ananttys Kouame finished 3rd place.

Shyanne Azzopardi wins Miss Gibraltar 2014

22 year old Shyanne Azzopardi was crowned Miss Gibraltar 2014 at the Queen's Cinema last June 7.

Shyanne just won 5000 pounds and will represent Gibraltar in Miss World 2014 in London, England on December 14.

The 1st runner-up Kristy Torres is expected to compete in Miss International 2014, in Japan. Claire Nunez finished as 2nd runner-up.

Laurien Angelista crowned Miss Curacao 2014

Stunning Laurien Angelista, a young women who has already won some international beauty titles, was crowned Miss Curaçao 2014 held at the Santa Barbara Resort in Nieuwpoort last June 7.

Laurien will be the official representative of Curacao in Miss Universe 2014 on December.

Kaydee Chang placed 2nd, while Naomi Scoop was 3rd.

Tegan Martin is Miss Universe Australia 2014

10 years after Jennifer Hawkins was crowned Miss Universe, Newcastle will have another contestant in the international contest.

21 year old Tegan Martin was recently crowned as the new Miss Universe Australia 2014 held at the Sofitel Melbourne in Collins last June 6, beating out 30 other conternders.

Tegan had already competed in 2011 and 2013 past editions of the pageant. She will head to Donald Trump’s Miss Universe 2014 pageant later this December, with the chance of emulating Newcastle product Jennifer Hawkins, who was rocketed to stardom in 2004 when she claimed the Miss Universe crown in front of a global audience of 800 million.

Martin, from Jewells, is now based in Sydney where she works as a model, appearing in the 2011 series of Australia’s Next Top Model. She is also studying nutritional medicine with the goal to use her studies to shed light on youth mental illness.

Sydney’s Monika Radulovic and Briden Star and Brisbane’s Danielle Johnson completed the top five finalists.

Gayle Sulvaran crowned Miss Curacao World 2014

19 year old Gayle Sulvaran won the title of Miss Curaçao World 2014 held at the Exhibition Hall of the World Trade Centre in Willemstad last May 31.

She will now get prepared to represent her island nation of Curacao in Miss World 2014 on December 14 in London, England.

Akisha Albert finished as 1st run-up. Kiobi Emerenciana ended as the 2nd run-up and Alexandra Krijger followed as the 3rd run-up.

Camilla Estico wins Miss Seychelles... Another World 2014

23 year old Camilla Estico from Beau Vallon was crowned Miss Seychelles... another world 2014 held at the Savoy Resory in Beau Vallon last May 31.

Camilla will represent the Seychelles in Miss World 2014 on December 14 in London, England.

Lisa Rose placed 1st run-up, while Marvel Godley was 2nd run-up.

Colombia's Daniela Ocoro crowned Miss World Cup 2014

25 year old Daniela Ocoro, an architecture student and model, won the beauty contest Miss World Cup 2014. The event takes place since 2006 in Rust, Germany. The beauty queen is chosen among women representing each participating country attending the FIFA Soccer World Cup.

Daniella, a native of Cali, Colombia, was previously a contestant representing her country in Miss World 2013, but did not qualify to the final round. This time, Daniella wowed the judges with her genuine personality, harmonious face and slim figure.

Miss USA Felicia Kitchings and Miss Ecuador, Laritza Párraga Arteaga came in 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Candidates paraded down the catwalk in swimwear and the official uniform of their respective national team. The jury in charge of the decision was integrated by sports reporter Waldemar Hartmann, former Bulgarian footballer Krassimir Balakow, former German coach Thorsten Fink, and former referee Walter Eschweiler.

Miss Queen of Scandinavia 2014 winner is Olivia Asplund

17-year old Olivia Asplund from Stockholm was crowned Miss World Sweden 2014 during the finals of Miss Queen of Scandinavia 2014 held at the Grand Hotel Stockholm on May 31st.

Standing 1.75m tall, Olivia will represent Sweden at the Miss World 2014 finals to be held in London, England, December 14.

In 2nd place was Anna Starbeck, who was crowned Miss Supranational Sweden 2014. With 1.74m height, she will travel to Poland to compete for the 6th Miss Supranational crown on December 5.

Representatives for Miss Intercontinental, Miss Model of the World and Miss Tourism International (Malaysia) were also crowned. 21 girls competed in the annual event.

Karina Ramos wins Miss Costa Rica 2014

20 year old Karina “Kari” Ramos, a student of Public Relations from Heredia, was crowned Miss Costa Rica 2014 during the annual event held at the Marco Picado studios in La Sabana on May 30th.

Karina stands 1.75m tall and will represent the Costa Rica in the Miss Universe 2014 pageant expected to be held in December. She is not a stranger to the pageant world; in 2012 she competed in the Miss Supranational event held in Poland, where she placed among the semi-finalists.

The runner-ups were Carolina Rodriguez and Carolina Arias, respectively.

Mister World Philippines 2014 and 2015

26 year old John de Lara Spainhour, a former United States Marine born in South Carolina, was chosen as the new Mister World Philippines 2014 during an event held at the Glorietta Mall in Makati on May 29. He will represent Philippines in Mister World 2014 in Torbay, England on June 15.

During the same event, Sam Ajdani was chosen as Mister World Philippines 2015 and will enter the next edition of Mr. World contest.

Amine Gulse crowned Miss Turkey 2014

21-year old Amine Gulse was crowned Miss Turkey 2014 during the annual event held at the Star TV Studios in Istanbul on May 27th. The show was originally scheduled to take place on May 15th, but it was postponed due to the mine disaster in Soma which took all the attention of the country’s media.

Standing 1.78m in height, stunning Amine will represent Turkey in the 2014 Miss World pageant to be held in London, England, on Sunday December 14th.

Second place went to 19 year old Dilan Cicek Deniz, who was crowned Miss Turkey Universe 2014. She stands 1.77m tall and will compete in the Miss Universe 2014 pageant also scheduled for December.

Aybuke Pusat and Gizem Kocak finished in 3rd and 4th place, respectively. They will compete in the Miss Earth 2014 in Macau, China and in Miss International 2014 beauty pageants.

Rafieya Asieya Husain is Miss World Guyana 2014

21 year old Rafieya Asieya Husain confirmed her favoritism and was crowned Miss World Guyana 2014 at the National Cultural Center in Georgetown last May 26.

Rafieya will be the official representative of Guyana in Miss World 2014 pageant in London, England on December 14. Her country enjoyed much success in Miss World in the late 1960′s and early 1970′s, but haven’t had a semi-finalist ever since. Will Asieya's charm bring back her nation's pageant success?

Meanwhile, Atisha Gaskill placed 1st run-up and Denicia Willians was 2nd run-up.

Krynica-Zdroj, Poland to host Miss Supranational 2014

The 6th edition of the Miss Supranational beauty pageant will take place in Krynica-Zdrój, Poland, on Friday December 5th with a live transmission via TV and internet.

Around 80 beauties from all over the globe will reunite in Poland starting on November 16th, to take part in the pre-pageant events including tours, presentations, competitions, photoshoots, interviews, among others.

Located in the south of Poland, Krynica-Zdrój is the biggest spa town in Poland often called the Pearl of Polish Spas; and a popular tourist and winter sports destination situated in the heart of the Beskids mountain range.

Mutya Johanna Datul from the Philippines, the current Miss Supranational 2013 will crown her successor at the conclusion of the live telecast. Once again, the magnificent production will be in charge of Polish company Nowa Scena, which catapulted the pageant to Grand Slam status back in 2010.

The 63rd annual Miss USA pageant will be held at the Baton Rouge River Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on June 8, 2014. Erin Brady of Connecticut will crown her successor at the end of the event. All fifty states and the District of Columbia will be competing and the winner will represent the USA at Miss Universe 2014.

For the first time, the final telecast will have a length of three hours, with the additional hour devoted to a look at the delegates in their home states. There will be a top 20 - swimsuits, rounding down to a top 10 - evening gown, and the final top 6.

Cebu's Jamie Herrell wins Miss Philippines Earth 2014

The Philippines crowned Sunday its bet to this year's Miss Earth, 19-year-old Jamie Herrell of Cebu City. The coronation nigh was held at the Mall of Asia Arena.

The Cebuana teen succeeded Angelee delos Reyes who placed 8th at last year's international pageant.

Jamie impressed the cheering crowd during the question and answer portion when she eloquently answered judge Akbayan partylist spokesperson Risa Hontiveros' question on whether humans have been good children to Mother Earth.

"We haven't been good children. In fact, I believe that we are the number one cause of her problems," she replied, receiving thunderous applause from the audience.

She added, "We are the reason why we're having climate change. We are the reason why we're having floods. But in return, if we can only help her, she can help us back and take care of us, too."

Miss Earth is considered one of the world's Big Four Beauty Pageants (along with Miss Universe, Miss World and Miss International).

Nick Kennett won the Mister World Australia 2014 title at the Oaks on Colllins Hotel in Melbourne on May 25. He will represent Australia in Mister World 2014 in Torbay, England on June 15.

Carlin Xavier Sterritt was the first runner-up and Christopher Nayna was the second runner-up.

Jesus Antonio Casanova wins Mister Venezuela 2014

25 year old Jesus Antonio Casanova won the Mister Venezuela 2014 title at Venevision's Studio 1 in Caracas on May 24.

Standing 1.90m tall, Jesus Antonio will represent Venezuela in Mister World 2014 in Torbay, England on June 15.

Jonathan Negron was the first runner-up and Jesus Arevalo was the second runner-up.

Bruno Viglezio to represent Switzerland in Mister World 2014

21 year old Bruno Viglezio was selected as the new Mister World Switzerland 2014 by HBC Entertainment GmbH, license holders of Miss World and Mister World in Switzerland.

Standing 1.83m tall, Bruno speaks Italian, French, German and Romansh. He will represent Switzerland in Mister World 2014 in Torbay, England on June 15. This is the debut of Switzerland in the international contest.

Puerto Rico's representative to Mister World 2014

19 year old Alberto Horacio Martinez Kezner from Guaynabo was hand-picked to be the new Mister World Puerto Rico 2014 during a casting call organized by Shanira Blanco, organizer of the Puerto Rican preliminaries for Miss World and Mister World.

Standing 1.85m tall, Alberto Horacio is a model and an engineering student and also enjoys surfing, taekwondo, swimming and gymnastics. He will represent Puerto Rico in Mister World 2014 in Torbay, England on June 15.

Jorge Lopes wins Mister Guine-Bissau 2014

19 year old Jorge Santos Aleluia Lopes won the Mister Guine-Bissau 2014 title at the Lenox Area in Bissau on May 11.

Jorge will represent Guinea-Bissau in Mister World 2014 in Torbay, England next June.

Jose Ignacio Ros is Mister World Spain 2014

27 year old Jose Ignacio Ros won the Mister World Spain 2014 title at the Instimed in Madrid on May 10.

Jose Ignacio will represent Spain in Mister World 2014 in Torbay, England on June 15.
