Miss World Kenya 2013 is Wangui Gitonga

23 year old Sherry Wangui Gitonga from Mombasa was crowned as the new Miss World Kenya 2013 during a glittering event took place at the Safari Park Hotel in Nairobi last July 12.

Standing 5'7" tall, Sherry will travel to Indonesia to represent her country at the Miss World 2013 pageant to be held on September 28 at the Sentul International Convention Center in Sentul, Bogor, West Java and in Nusa Dua Complex in Bali.

Olivia Wells is Miss Universe Australia 2013

19 year old Olivia Wells from Black Rock, Melbourne was crowned as the new winner of Miss Universe Australia 2013 contest took place at the Sofitel Melbourne on July 12 where 30 stunning women participated.

Tegan Martin finished as 1st run-up and Marsi Fernandez was the 2nd run-up.

Olivia is currently a student taking up Bachelor of Medicine and Science. She will now be the official representative of Australia in Miss Universe 2013 pageant to be held on November 9 at the Crocus City Hall in Moscow, Russia.

Miss U.S. International 2013 is Andrea Neu

23 year old Andrea Neu from Durango was crowned as the new Miss U.S. International 2013 during an annual event took place last June 29 at the Osceola High School Theater in Kissimmee.

Standing 5'9" tall, Andrea will be the entry of United States in the upcoming Miss International 2013 pageant.

Pallavi Gungaram is Miss Mauritius 2013

19 year old Pallavi Gungaram won the title of Miss Mauritius 2013 during the conclusion of the event which took place at the Johnson and Johnson Auditorium in Vacoas-Phoenix on June 29. She will get ready to compete in Miss Universe 2014 next year.

Finished as the 1st run-up was 24 year old Sheetal Khadun, who was also crowned as Miss World Mauritius.

The 2nd run-up and also named Miss International 2013 was Shiksha Matabadul from Flacq. She is 21 year old and stands 5'7" tall and she will enter the Miss International 2013 later this year.

Iresha Asanki crowned as Siyatha Lux Miss Sri Lanka 2013

22 year old Ginthota Vidanalage Iresha Asanki De Silva from Ratmalana was crowned as the new Siyatha Lux Miss Sri Lanka 2013 during an ceremony held last July 9 at the Grand Ballroom of the Hilton Colombo and organized by Ceylon Tours Ltd., who took over the license from Derana TV.

The 1st run-up was Chulakshi Ranathunga and the 2nd run-up was Sharon Huyghebaert.

Iresha stands 5'9.5" tall and she will be the official representative of Sri Lanka in Miss World 2013 competition which will take place on September 28 at the Sentul International Convention Center in Sentul, Bogor, West Java and in Nusa Dua Complex in Bali, Indonesia.

Maja Cotic wins Miss Slovenije (Slovenia) 2013

24 year old Maja Cotic from Nova Gorica City was crowned Miss Slovenije 2013 which took place last July 4 at the Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre.

Finished as 1st run-up was Laura Skvorc and the 2nd run-up was Eva Matijasevic.

Standing 5'8" tall, Maja will compete in Miss World 2013 pageant to take place on September 28 at the Sentul International Convention Center in Sentul, Bogor, West Java and in Nusa Dua Complex in Bali, Indonesia.

Miss World Ecuador is Laritza Parraga

19 year old Laritza Libeth Parraga Arteaga from Santo Domingo de los Colorados won the title and the first ever crown of Miss World Ecuador 2013 held at the Museum of Anthropology and Contemporary Art in Guayaquil last July 4. It was under the direction of Julian Pico.

Daniela Guerrero ended as the 1st run-up while Stefanía Camacho was the 2nd run-up.

Laritza stands 5'8" tall and will travel to Indonesia to represent Ecuador in Miss World 2013 competition to be held on September 28 at the Sentul International Convention Center in Sentul, Bogor, West Java and in Nusa Dua Complex in Bali.

Shi Lim Crowned Miss Universe Singapore 2013

24 year old Shi Lim was crowned as the new Miss Universe Singapore 2013 during an annual pageant took place last July 6 at the Shangri La Hotel.

Cheryl Desiree Chan and Cordelia Low finished as the 1st and 2nd runners-up respectively.

Standing 1.77m tall, Shi will travel to Russia to represent Singapore in Miss Universe 2013 contest to be held on November 9 at the Crocus City Hall in Moscow.

Monika Abramczyk wins Miss Polski Nastolatek 2013

The annual Miss Polsi Nastolatek (Poland Teen) was organized by Missland which took place last June 30, 2013 at the Kozienice Amphitheater where 25 stunning teenager participated.

The 17 year old Monika Abramczyk from Lodz was crowned as the evening's winner. She will represent Poland in Miss Global Teen 2013 pageant.

Placed as 1st run-up was Alicja Tubilewicz. The 2nd run-up was Katarzyna Pol. 3rd run-up was Karolina Charkiewicz and finally, the 4th run-up position went to Adrianna Schneider, who was also awarded as Miss Jovi.

Miss Tropical Beauties Suriname 2013

The 2nd Miss Tropical Beauties Suriname pageant took place on June 29. The stunning 21 year old Jaleeza Weibolt emerged as this year's titleholder.

Standing 1.72m tall, Jaleeza will be the official representative of her country in Miss Supranational 2013 in Minsk, Belarus on September 6.

The 1st run-up was Janet van Klaveren, a 21 beauty who will enter the Miss International 2013. 2nd run-up was Kyran Rampersad, 19, will be her country’s hope in Miss Caraibes Hibiscus 2013.

Elena Ibarbia Jimenez wins Miss World Spain 2013

On June 29 at the Lago Martianez Complex in Puerto de la Cruz in the Tenerife Islands, 18 year old Elena Ibarbia Jimenez was crowned as the very first Miss World Spain 2013.

The event was organized by Guillermo Escobar, national director of Miss World in Spain and president of Be Beautiful Spain, who took over the license from the late Miss España pageant.

Finished as the 1st run-up was Ines Baquera and the 2nd run-up was Cristina Mesa Postigo.

Elena is from Donostia, Basque Country and she stands 5'11" tall. She will travel to Indonesia to represent Spain in Miss World 2013 to be held on September 28 at the Sentul International Convention Center in Sentul, Bogor, West Java and in Nusa Dua Complex in Bali.

Meet the winners of Nuestra Belleza Paraguay 2013

An annual event organized by Promociones Gloria, the Nuestra Belleza Paraguay 2013 was held last June 27 at the Galas Hall of the Yacht and Golf Club Paraguayo Resort in Asuncion.

Emerged as the over-all winner and was crowned as Miss Universo Paraguay 2013 was 17 year old Maria Guadalupe Gonzalez Talavera from Lambare. She stands 1.78m tall and she will travel to Russia to represent her country in Miss Universe 2013 to be held on November 9 at the Crocus Hall in Moscow.

Named as Miss Mundo Paraguay 2013 was 22 year old Coral Ruiz Reyes from Asuncion. She stands 1.75m tall and will represent Paraguay in Miss World 2013 which take place on September 28 at the Sentul International Convention Center, Sentul in Bogor, West Java and in Nusa Dua Complex in Bali, Indonesia.

Meanwhile during the same event, 22 year old Marta Raviolo Vera from Coronel Oviedo was declared as Miss Internacional Paraguay 2013. She stands 5'7" tall and will enter the Miss International contest later this year.

Camarin Mendiola wins Miss World Guam 2013

17 year old Camarin Mendiola from Agana Heights won the title of Miss Guam World 2013 held last June 26 at the Leopalace Resort in Yona.

Finished as 1st run-up was Lisa Pachkoski while the 2nd run-up was Chelsea Robato. Mariana Sizemore and Carmen Cabrera completed the top 5 finalists.

Camarin stands 5'7" tall and she will be the official entry of Guam in the upcoming Miss World 2013 pageant which was scheduled to take place on September 28 at the Sentul International Convention Center, Sentul in Bogor, West Java and in Nusa Dua Complex in Bali, Indonesia

Miss World Ethiopia 2013 is Genet Tsegay

22 year old Genet Tsegay from Addis Ababa is the new Miss World Ethiopia 2013. She stands 5'8" tall and currently works as a model who’s advocating for street children in Ethiopia and promoting education of girl children.

Genet will be the official representative of Ethiopia in Miss World 2013 to be held on September 28 at the Sentul International Convention Center in Sentul, Bogor, West Java and in Nusa Dua Complex in Bali, Indonesia.

Brazil wins Reina Internacional de la Ganaderia 2013

21 year old Miss Brazil, Gabrielle Vilela won the title of International Queen of Cattle Raising / Reina Internacional de la Ganaderia 2013 held in the city of Monteria in Colombia.

Gabrielle is a native of Angra dos Reis who studies languages and works as a model in Rio de Janeiro. Earlier this year she represented Ilha Grande in Miss Brazil World, finishing in 8th place (she also won the title ‘Miss Elegance’).

This was the 6th edition of this international competition and the first time a Brazilian delegate won.

Katherine Arnfield wins Miss Bermuda 2013

17 year old Katherine Arnfield from Smiths won the title of Miss Bermuda 2013 held at the Fairmont Southampton on June 23. Echaunti Swan finished as 1st run-up and the Chelzea Somner was the 2nd run-up. Denae Simmons and Alexandra McMartin finished in 4th and 5th place respectively.

Voted the People’s Choice Award in a recent BerNews poll was Katherine Arnfield. Miss Photogenic award was given to Denae Simmons. Echaunti Swan won the title of Miss Hospitality and Miss Congeniality awards.

As the new Miss Bermuda, Katherine will represent the country in Miss World 2013 on September 28 in Sentul International Convention Center in Sentul, Bogor, West Java and in Nusa Dua Complex in Bali, Indonesia.

Ena Kadic is Miss Osterreich (Austria) 2013

23 year old Ena Kadic from Innsbruck was crowned as the new Miss Osterreich 2013 during an contest held at the Grand Casino Baden last June 23 where 18 stunning beauties competed.

Finished as 1st run-up was Doris Hofmann. 2nd run-up went to Jacqueline Sappert and Lena Sophie Brauchart ended as 3rd run-up.

Annamaria Rakosi wins A Szepsegkirelyno (Miss Hungary) 2013

21 year old Annamaria Rakosi from Debrecen was the over-all winner of A Szepsegkirelyno 2013 contest and received the title of Miss World Hungary 2013 during an event held at the TV2 studios in Budapest.

Standing 5'8" tall, Annamaria previously competed in Miss Supranational 2012 in Warsaw, Poland. She will now be the official representative of Hungary in Miss World 2013 which will take place on September 28 at the Sentul International Convention Center in Sentul, Bogor, West Java and in Nusa Dua Complex in Bali, Indonesia.

Finished as 1st run-up and also named as Miss Universe Hungary 2013 was 18 year old Rebeka Karpati from Budapest. She stands 5'7" tall and will travel to Russia to enter the Miss Universe 2013 contest on November 9 in Crocus City Hall in Moscow.

Considered as crowd favorite, Korinna Koksis finished as 2nd run-up, but refused accept the crown and title of Miss Intercontinental Hungary 2013. It happened during the live telecast the national pageant held in Budapest. Minutes later, she published on her Facebook page that she did not accept the results because she already knew she would not be placed as one of the two winners. She participated in Miss Hungary back in 2009, when she placed 3rd as well and represented her country in Miss Earth.

The 3rd run-up, Brigitta Timar will be the one to represent the country and compete in Miss Intercontinental 2013 on November.

Rym Amari Crowned Miss Algeria 2013

After an absence of 10 years, the Miss Algeria pageant was held Friday in the western city of Oran, with 19 year old science student Rym Amari emerged as the over-all winner.

The competition was suspended in 2003 after the death of Cheradi Hamdad, who launched the beauty contest in 1996 during Algeria’s devastating civil war and whose son Faycal Hamdad has now taken up the mantle.

“I have picked up the torch for this year only, because my father died last year of lung cancer,” said the new pageant director, a rights activist and a performer in his own right.

The revamped beauty show demonstrates that “the Algerian woman has evolved, Algeria has evolved”, said Hamdad.

a total of 20 stunning delegates participated, aged between 18 and 26, who were carefully selected from Algeria’s main cities to compete in front of 2,000 spectators in an Oran hotel.

While there was a minimum height requirement, there was no posing in swimsuits, with the Miss Algeria hopefuls parading in traditional outfits, sportswear and evening dresses.

Miss Algeria 2013 has been crowned too late to be able to participate in this year’s Miss World contest, due to be held in Indonesia in September. It has not been informed if she will compete in Miss World 2014 or in any other pageant.

Sanda Gutic wins Miss Bosna i Hercegovina 2013

19 year old Sanda Gutic from Brcko was crowned Miss Bosna i Hercegovina 2013 pageant took place last June 19 at the Children's Theatre of Republika Srpska in Banja Luka where 25 stunning women participated.

The 1st run-up was Husneta Tupkovic and 2nd run-up place went to Jelena Stevanovic.

Sandra stands 5'9" tall and she will represent Bosnia and Herzegovina in Miss World 2013 which will be held on September 28 at the Sentul International Convention Center in Sentul, Bogor, West Java and Nusa Dua Complex in Bali, Indonesia.

Sheryna van der Koelen is Miss Monde Guadeloupe 2013

21 year old Sheryna van der Koelen was named as the new Miss Monde Guadeloupe 2013 during the Miss International Guadeloupe 2013 pageant took place last June 15 at La Creole Beach Hotel and Spa in Le Gosier.

Ended as 1st run-up was Marie Vaitilingon and the 2nd run-up was Meghane Monrose who will enter the Miss International 2013 contest later this year.

Standing 5'7.5" tall, Sheryna from Saint Francois will represent Guadeloupe in Miss World 2013 competition to take place on September 28 at the Sentul International Convention Center in Sentul, Bogor, West Java and in Nusa Dua Complex in Bali, Indonesia.
