Miss Montenegro 2013 is Ivana Milojko

The stunning Ivana Milojko recently won the title and was crowned Miss Montenegro 2013 during an annual pageant took place last January 22 at the Congress Center of the Hotel Mediteran in Becici.

18 year old Ivana from Tivta will represent Montenegro in Miss World 2013 contest which will be held on September 28 at the Sentul International Convention Center in Sentul, Bogor, Indonesia.

Finished as the 1st run-up was Nikoleta Jovanovic from Bara. She is 17 years old and will enter the Miss Universe 2013 competition later this year.

Tied for the 2nd run-up spot were Bojana Cejovic and Valentina Micic.

Transgender Miriam Jimenez tries her/his luck at Bb. Pilipinas 2013

Due to remarkable placement from 2010-2012 in Miss Universe pageant, a lot of local beauty queen hopefuls are currently trying their luck to be one of the official candidates on the biggest and most prestigious beauty pageant in the Philippines, the Binibining Pilipinas now celebrating it's 50th year.

The screening started late December of 2012 and was extended till January 31.

Recently during the submission of application, a big shock among pageant enthusiast as the 24 year old transgender Miriam Jimenez was spotted at the Araneta Center and it is pretty obvious that she is applying for the pageant.

The Miss Universe Organization (MUO), in light with the famous Jenna Talackova issue, had released the statement that it is now accepting transgenders at the pageant. But then, Jenna is Canadian and Canadian laws allows an individual to change his or her gender. Well not in case of Miriam where the said law was not yet (possibly not be approved) applicable in the Philippines.

Miriam Jimenez, born as Bryan Arconado Jimenez on May 6, 1988 at Barbar, San Juan, Ilocos Sur. She was considered a pageant veteran and have joined and won many beauty contests for transsexuals both here and abroad. One of her most recent stints includes Miss Amazing Philippine Beauties 2010 and in Miss International Queen 2012 held in Pattaya, Thailand where she is one of the top 10 semi-finalists.

It is with great doubt whether Bb. Pilipinas would give her a chance or rather accommodate her at all.

Miss Polonia 2013 Official Contestants

The grand finale of the annual Miss Polonia 2013 contest also called as Miss Poland 2013 will take place on February 2 in Warsaw where Marcelina Zawadzka will relinquish her crown and pass the title to her successor at the end of the event.

The new winner will compete representing Poland in Miss Universe 2013 pageant in a date and venue to be announced later this year.

Runners-up will also be sent to Miss Earth and Miss International competitions.

Miss Atlantico Internacional 2013 Delegates

The 27th annual Miss Atlantico Internacional 2013 also internationally called as Miss Atlantic International 2013 pageant will take place on February 2 at the Mantra Resort Spa & Casino in Punta del Este, Uruguay.

14 international beauties will compete for the crown which was currently worn by last year's titleholder Catherine De Zorzi of Venezuela.

Micaela Orsi & Mercedes Bissio wins Miss Uruguay 2013

The annual Miss Uruguay pageant took place last January 20, 2013 at the Chihuahua Resort in Punta del Este.

18 year old Micaela Orsi was crowned as this year's Miss Universo Uruguay. She stands 6'0" tall and will compete representing the country in Miss Universe 2013 competition on a date and venue to be announced later this year.

Meanwhile, Mercedes Bissio received the title and crown of Miss Mundo Uruguay. She will enter the Miss World 2013 contest on September 28 at the Sentul International Convention Center in Sentul, Bogor in Indonesia.

Finished as the 1st run-up was Natalia Sanchez. She also received the title of Miss Internacional Uruguay and will compete in Miss International 2013 beauty pageant.

A Closer Look: 2012 World of Male Pageantry

Almost all of the articles in the website focuses the pageants that are for women. But male beauty competitions are slowly getting some attention. Do you think it is worth and interesting to take a bit of a look to the world of male pageantry?

Yes, throw away the tiaras and the gowns and fierce catwalk. This is about male beauty and the contestants are competing in tuxedos. There is a national costume in most of these contests in case things get a bit drab. Certainly interviews are there to measure the intelligence. There are no crowns though but there are sashes and the winner well, gets - among other prizes - a trophy.

This year, the winners of the "Big 3" male contests namely Mister International, Mr. World and Manhunt International came from geographically diverse countries. Mister International 2012, Ali Hammoud who is a 23 year old Lebanese hunk from Beirut. A fitness trainer and a Math teacher, Ali is committed in promoting healthy lifestyle during his reign.

Mister World 2012, Francisco Javier Escobar on the other hand came from Cali, Colombia. He's a 21 year old student who is into pole vault and swimming. He won the title in an event held in Kent, England. In his reign he will devote his time on humanitarian activities. Miss World is associated with Mr. World, so basically the focus of the winner will be charity.

And Manhunt International 2012, June Macasaet won the oldest of the three pageants. He is from the Philippines and is a 28 year old model who hails from San Jose, Batangas. Manhunt is more focused on the fashion aspect and expect its winners to be good role model for the youth.

Each passing year, male pageants become more and more popular together with it's own cause, soon it will be equal in terms of attention and publicity with pageants for women.

New York's Mallory Hagan is Miss America 2013

23 year old Mallory Hagan from Brooklyn, New York won the title of Miss America 2013 last January 12 in PH Live in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Mallory just won a $50,000 college scholarship and gets the crown for one year through her platform of stopping child sexual abuse.

Hagan is expected to spend her title reign on a nationwide speaking tour and raising money for the Children’s Miracle Network, the organization’s official charity.

Venezuela wins Reina Internacional del Cafe 2013

20 year old Miss Venezuela Ivanna Mariam Vale Colman emerged as the over-all winner of International Queen of Coffee 2013 also called as Reinado Internacional del Cafe 2013 pageant which took place in Manizales, Caldas in Colombia on January 12.

Ivana from Merida stands 5'9.5" tall defeated other 22 international beauties who participated in this annual event.

Crowned as Virreina Internacional del Cafe 2013 was Claudy Blandon from Colombia.

The 1st run-up was Dominican Republic's Melody Mir, who was previously 2nd run-up Reina Hispanoamericana 2009 and 3rd run-up Miss International 2012.

2nd run-up was Miss Aruba Larisa Leeuwe. And finally, the 3rd run-up was Jennifer Valle of Honduras.

The Best Face award was given to Jennifer Valle (Honduras). And the winners of Queen of Police award are: Andressa Mello (Brazil); Claudy Blandon (Colombia); Claudia Manrique (Peru); Mara Liz Rivera (Puerto Rico); and Melody Mir (Dominican Republic).
