Rodrigo Fernandini won Mister Peru 2012

The very 1st edition of Mister Peru held last March 1. And Mr. Lambayeque, Rodrigo Fernandini was declared as the winner of Mister Peru 2012.

Rodrigo Fernandini was a previous Mister Teen Peru winner. He is expected to compete representing Peru in Mister World 2012.

The 1st run-up was Mr. Lima, Bruno Vega who will enter the Mister Universe Model 2012. 2nd run-up was Mr. Tacna, Danny Pena who will go on to compete in Manhunt International 2012 pageant in October.

Miss Bahamas, Anastagia Pierre meets Prince Harry

Never could she have imagined that a comment said in jest would have landed her in the international spotlight in such an incredible manner. The international media were all in tow on Monday to get a photo with Miss Bahamas Universe Anastagia Pierre and HRH Prince Harry together, after widely reporting that the beauty queen had plans to hitch the prince. And they got their wish during a private luncheon at which the prince met a select few of the country’s youth leaders, including Anastagia and Miss World Bahamas Sasha Joyce.

Cameras flashed as if it were a red carpet premier as the prince was introduced to the Bahamian beauty. “The minister presented me to him as the one everybody ’s been talking about,” said Anastagia. “He said, ‘So you’re the one?’ I said, ‘It was supposed to be light-hearted but it has been blown out of all proportion’. He said, ‘It always is’.” The two also talked about the role of beauty queens, and Anastagia used the opportunity to dispel a myth. “He asked me if it was all about world peace as people always think,” Ms Pierre said. “I replied that it’s more about charity work.”

Their encounter was brief, but not brief enough to deter the international press who seemed determined to run with the story. It seems that Anastagia is on the way to becoming an international celebrity by declaring Harry was “hot” and joking that she was there to fall in love with him. When a call came from US weekly seeking her whereabouts, we knew it had gone to another level. As the reporter explained, “We cover everything celebrity and entertainment, and we’d like to talk to the queen about her encounter with the prince.” We were told the article would appear on their website, and possibly in their magazine.

Meanwhile, the media worldwide continues to focus on the “couple”, as some have referred to them. From India, to Australia, London to New York, the story has taken on a life of its own. While some Bahamians appear to be miffed about the whole thing, the international media can’t seem to get enough of their newest darling, Miss Bahamas Universe Anastagia Pierre.

Miss Universe Pageant 2012

The Miss Universe Pageant is perhaps the most celebrated beauty pageant of all times. It was highly acclaimed to be one of the 4 largest beauty contests in the world.

The 61st edition was held last December 19 where 89 official contestants participated.

The Organization had been struggling to find a venue for the year’s competition. For the first time in history, in March, 2012, it was announced that the pageant would be moved to December. This was because the broadcaster NBC could not broadcast the pageant at the same time as the 2012 Summer Olympics and the United States Presidential Election.

Finally, September 2012, it had been confirmed contest would take place at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. It was the fourth time the Miss Universe pageant was held in Las Vegas, the other three times being in 1991, 1996 and 2010.

Miss Israel 2012 set of Winners

Miss Israel 2012 pageant was held last March 7 in Haifa.


The stunning Shani Hazan won the title of Israel Queen of Beauty. She is 19 years old, stands 1.82 m-tall, and will represent Israel in the Miss World 2012, competition to be held in Ordos, Inner Mongolia, China on August 18.

Shani Hazan is a high school graduate who wants to study Business Administration. She’s currently serving in the Navy as a systems’ operator. Hazan has been a vegetarian since de age of 12.


Gorgeous Lina Machola bagged the title of Israel’s Maiden of Beauty or the 1st run-up place. She is 18 years of age, stands 1.78 m tall, and lives in Haifa. She will compete in Miss Universe 2012 pageant on December.

Lina Machola is currently working as a model in Haifa whose parents are a Christian Arab from Kfar Yasif and a Russian.

The other finalists were May Yoshia (Israel’s Queen of Grace), Noy Abner (Israel’s Teen Queen), and Suf Azulai.

Miss Israel beauty contest was organized by La'Isha magazine since 1950.

Miss Nicaragua 2012 Official Contestants

Miss Nicaragua 2012 will be held on March 17 in Teatro Nacional Ruben Dario in Managua, Nicaragua and televised by Televicentro. The reigning Miss Nicaragua 2011, Adriana Dorn (photo above) will crown her successor during the event.

New winner will compete representing Nicaragua in Miss Universe 2012 pageant. 1st run-up will enter the Miss World 2012 on August 18 in Ordos, Inner Mongolia in China<. And the 2nd run-up will compete in Miss International 2012 in Japan/China.

Before she moved to Munich, Germany in 2010 for a one year study, she lived in Fredrikstad, Norway for 14 years. In Norway she is a leader of a youth organization, she traveled anywhere to attend debates, conferences and seminars.

Her mom was the one who told her about Bb. Pilipinas and she has always wanted to be a model and a beauty queen. Cecilie Peter views joining the contest as an “experience I will bring for the rest of my life.” She describes herself as being very Pinay even if her features look foreign.

During her “super obese” phase, she endured being called “baboy”, “matabang bata” wherever she went. She decided to lose weight for health reasons since her family has a history of diabetes. She also had asthma as a child. When she was heavy, she thought that joining a beauty pageant was an impossible dream. As a nurse, she lost weight the healthy way through diet and exercise. Since her family owns a motorcycle spare parts shop, she is skilled at changing flat tires, oil and motorcycle maintenance. She joined Ms. Bataan in 2011. She is also into target shooting and chess.

Background:

Mary Jean Lastimosa or "MJ" as she was popularly called stands 5’ 5 1/2″ tall. She is already a veteran in joining pageants. She is the former Mutya ng Dabao. She won different local pageants, and represent Davao City in Japan before and she made her way to Binibining Pilipinas 2011 where in she finished as the 2nd runner-up.

MJ has a good mixture of Filipino and Middle Eastern lineage for being a half Arabian. Both this races flowing in her veins gave her the materials for being one of the strong contenders in this year’s as well as last year's pageant. She graduated her Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering in the University of Mindanao. Some of her achievements in local beauty pageants are Mutya ng Tulunan 2003, Lakambini ng University of Mindanao 2004, Mutya ng North Cotabato 2004, 1st run-up, Davao’s Loveliest 2005, 1st run-up, Mutya ng University of Mindanao 2006, Miss Regional PRISAA 2007, Miss National PRISAA 2007, 2nd runner up, Mutya ng Davao 2008 and Reyna ng Aliwan 2008.

Karen was raised in Brisbane, but she considered herself as a 100% Filipino. And that fact will be proven by her skills in speaking fluent Filipino and Cebuano language. This lady had been also compared to the Latina beauty, Ximena Navarrete of Mexico, Miss Universe 2010.
