Bb. Pilipinas 2012 beauty pageant, celebrating it's 49th edition will be held on April 15 at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City and will be telecast by ABS-CBN and TFC.

The reigning Binibining Pilipinas 2011 winners, (Shamcey Supsup, Miss Universe Philippines 2011 and 3rd run-up in Miss Universe 2011; Dianne Necio, Bb. Pilipinas International 2011 and semi-finalist in Miss International 2011; and Isabella Manjon, Bb. Pilipinas Tourism 2011) will relinquish their titles to the new batch of winners at the end of the contest.

The winner of Miss Universe Philippines will represent the country in Miss Universe 2012 on December. Bb. Pilipinas-International will compete in Miss International 2012 pageant. And the Bb. Pilipinas-Tourism will enter the Miss Tourism Queen International 2012 contest.

Elizaveta Golovanova crowned Miss Russia 2012

19 year old Elizaveta Golovanova from Smolensk won the title and the expensive crown of Miss Russia 2012 during a pageant held last March 3 at the Barvikha Luxury Village Concert Hall in Moscow.

Elizaveta Golovanova stands 1.78m tall and was crowned by Miss Russia 2011, Natalya Gantimurova and the reigning Miss World 2011, Ivian Sarcos of Venezuela.

Besides wearing the USD 1-million crown, Elizaveta Golovanova will have the right to represent the country in Miss World 2012 on August in Ordos, Inner Mongolia in China, and in Miss Universe 2012 competition on December.

Miss Russia 2012 1st run-up was Kristina Gontar, while the 2nd run-up was Alena Shiskova.

Anastasia Pominova from Voronezh was chosen as the winner of the popular vote, conducted by Woman magazine.

Meet the Delegates of Miss Slovensko 2012

The official contestants of Miss Slovakia 2012 / Miss Slovensko 2012 pageant were all busy preparing for the grand finale. At the same time, the girls also enjoyed their stay and visit to a medieval castle in Liptovsky.

Delegates enjoyed a five-day training camp getting tips, media training, and having photos taken. They were trained by former beauty queen, Miss Slovakia 2006, Magdalena Sally. “In the Grand Castle the contestants have been warmly welcomed, but they have already started to work hard to achieve their goals. Focus is a key word here”, she said. The Miss Slovakia finalists also had moments to relax and unwind to enjoy their experience with this pageant.

Runway training from choreographer Peter Varady, and also received special media training by Catherine Safarikova. “They were also coached on breathing exercises, stage presence, voice and speech skills, presentation tips and contact with the media”, public relations manager for the pageant cited.

The Miss Slovakia 2012 was scheduled to take place on April 27, and will be telecast by TV JOJ. The winner will compete in Miss World 2012 on August 18 in Ordos, Inner Mongolia in China. While the 1st run-up will enter the Miss International 2012 contest.

Miss Universe 2012 to be held on December

The Miss Universe 2012 beauty pageant will take place on December with Leila Lopes, Miss Universe 2012 from Angola will reign for 15 months, the longest reign in the history of the pageant.

According to the national directors, they have been officially informed by the Miss Universe Organization that the 2012 competition will take place on mid-December. The notice states the event has been postponed because in 2012, media in general will focus on the Summer Olympics (July/August) and the United States’ Presidential Election (October, November), so December seems to be the date defined by NBC.

The exact date and venue will be confirmed soon by MUO.

Representative of Dominican Republic in Miss World 2012

25 year old Jenny Claribel Blanco was chosen to represent Dominican Republic in Miss World 2012 on August 18, in Ordos, Inner Mongolia, China.

Due to changes in the pageant date of Miss World 2012 contest, the pageant organizers made a decision to pick a winner from a casting call to choose a representative of the Dominican Republic in Miss World 2012, and will have the actual Miss World Dominican Republic pageant happening in the month of September, with the winner competing in Miss World 2013.

Then, 1.62-m tall Jenny Claribel Blanco was chosen. She is a top 12-semi-finalist in the Miss Universe Dominican Republic 2009 pageant representing Valverde.

Alana Seebarran of Guyana wins Miss India Worldwide 2012

Miss India Worldwide 2012 beauty contest celebrating it's 21st year was held in Paramaribo, Suriname in South America last February 26 where 35 international beauties competed for the coveted title.

Miss Guyana, Alana Seebarran ended up winning the title and crown of Miss India Worldwide 2012. She was crowned by Bollywood actor, Aftab Shivdasani.

Close to the title was the 1st run-up, Miss Kuwait, Anvita Sudarshan. And the 2nd run-up place went to Miss Australia, Olivia Rose.
