Miss Israel 2011 beauty pageant will be held on March 29 in Haifa. Shavit Wiesel, Miss Israel 2010 will crown her successor at the end of the contest.

The new winner will represent Israel at Miss World 2011 competition.

The 1st run-up will enter Miss Universe 2011 beauty pageant to be held on September 12 in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Jimena Elias Roca arrested by Police due to Drunk Driving

Former Miss Peru Universe 2007, Jimena Eileen Elias Roca, was arrested by police on early morning of March 18 due to driving out of control while intoxicated.

Around 3:00 a.m., the model raised alarm in the Lima district of San Borja after crashing into several cars, including a serenazgo (local security) vehicle.

She was taken to the Surquillo police station. She tested positive for blood alcohol content, meaning that in keeping with regulations, she will not be able to drive for one year.

Police stated that Elías was driving a cherry-colored Honda Civic and was with a friend. Both women had left a night club in San Borja, heading for Surco. The model was released from police custody later in the morning.

News outlets in Peru had a field day with this controversy. Another former Miss Peru Universe 2009, Karen Schwarz, who represented the country in Miss Universe 2009, declared to local outlets that Jimena is ‘setting a bad example’ and that she is a ‘bad role model’.

Jitka Novackova was crowned Ceska Miss 2011

18 year old Jitka Novackova from Budweis was crowned as the new Miss Czech Republic 2011 or locally known as Ceska Miss 2011 beauty pageant held on March 19 at the Karlin Musical Theatre in Prague. She was crowned by Jitka Valkova, Ceska Miss 2010.

Standing 5'9" tall, Jitka Novackova was chosen by viewers of the competition via text messages. She will now represent Czech Republic at Miss Universe 2011 beauty pageant to be held on September 12 in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Crowned as Ceska Miss World was 18 year old Denisa Domanska from Heredia, chosen by a panel of judges. She stands 5'11" tall and will compete at Miss World 2011 contest.

21 year old Sarka Cojocarova from Svobodne Hermanice won by internet votes. She stands 5'10" tall and will enter Miss Earth 2011 competition.

Claudia Elena Schiess wins Miss Ecuador 2011

21 year old Miss Galapagos, Claudia Elena Schiess Fretz from Santa Cruz was crowned as the new Miss Ecuador 2011 held on March 17 at Recinto Ferial de Santo Domingo, Santo Domingo de los Colorados. She was crowned by Miss Ecuador 2010, Lady Fernanda Mina.

The show will be broadcast live by Gama TV and to be hosted by Roberto Rodriguez. The panel of judges are Gionni Straccia, Rafael Araneda, Edwin Rosario and Stefania Fernandez, Miss Universe 2009.

Claudia Schiess will will represent Ecuador at Miss Universe 2011 beauty pageant to be held on September 12 in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Crowned as Miss Mundo Ecuador 2011 was Miss Guayas, Maria Veronica Vargas Granja. She will compete at Miss World 2011 contest.

Miss Internacional Ecuador 2011 crown was given to Miss Pichincha, Maria Fernanda Cornejo Alfaro. She will enter the Miss International 2011 beauty pageant.

1st run-up was Miss Guayas, Olga Mercedes Alava Vargas. She will go to Miss Empresarial 2011 contest.

2nd run-up was Miss Guayas, Leslie Ayala Rodriguez and she will enter Miss Atlantico Internacional 2012 next year.

Top Model of the World 2011 winner is Loredana Salanta of Romania

Miss Romania, Loredana Salanta was crowned as the new Top Model of the World 2011 winner in a beauty pageant held on March 16 in Usedom, Germany. She was crowned by Top Model of the World 2010, Carolina Rodriguez.

1st run-up place went to Miss Baltic Sea, Katerina Fedosejeva while the 2nd run-up was Miss Zimbabwe, Vanessa Sibanda.

Completing the top 5 finalists were Miss Poland, Zuzanna Brzezinska and Miss Algeria, Yasmine Ouchene.

Miss Thailand Universe 2011 beauty pageant will be held at the Royal Paragon Hall, Siam Paragon in Bangkok, Thailand on March 26. Miss Thailand Universe 2010, Fontip Watcharatrakul (นางสาวฝนทิพย์ วัชรตระกูล) (photo above) will crown her successor during the contest.

The winner will represent Thailand at Miss Universe 2011 beauty pageant to be held on September 12 in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

The 1st run-up will compete at Miss Earth 2011 competition.
