Miss Nicaragua 2010 beauty pageant will take place on February 27. Indiana Sanchez, Miss Nicaragua 2009 will be at the event to crown her successor. The winner will represent Nicaragua at the Miss Universe 2010 contest.

Viivi Pumpanen crowned Miss Suomi (Finland) 2010

A student from Helsinki, Viivi Pumpanen was crowned Miss Suomi 2010 or Miss Finland 2010 on January 17. She is 22 years old and stands 1.68m tall. Viivi will represent her country at the Miss Universe 2010 beauty pageant later this year.

The 1st runner-up was Anne Nurminen while the 2nd runner-up was Susanna Turja.

Miss World 1956, Petra Susanna Schurmann dies at 74

The first ever German to be crowned Miss World in 1956, Petra Susanna Schurmann dies at the age of 74 last January 13.

Petra worked as a television presenter in Germany for many years after her reign. She was expected to attend the Miss World 2010 as they celebrate it's 60th year to be held in Vietnam.

A model from latvia, Katrina Karlina Caune wins Ford Supermodel of the World 2010 in a contest held in Sao Paulo, Brazil. As the winner of the famous modeling annual contest, Katrina Karlina will sign a 250 k-dollar contract with Ford Models Agency.

1st run-up is Charlene "Chat" Almarvez from the Philippines. And 2nd run-up is Isabelle Storck from Sweden.

Other finalists were Olivia Lucille of the USA, Maryna Linchuk of Belarus, Grace Hurley from Australia, and finally Bruna Tiedt of Brazil.

Eduardo Esquivel wins Mister Costa Rica 2010

Representing Costa Rica in Mister World 2010 pageant is Eduardo Esquivel, a 20 year old native of Alajuela. He stands 1.88m tall.

While Jonathan Campos will represent Costa Rica in Manhunt International 2010 in Korea.

Also present at the contest is the reigning Miss Costa Rica World 2009, Angie Alfaro.

Miss Universe Japan 2010 beauty pageant will take place on March 9. Miss Japan 2009, Emiri Miyasaka will take her farewell walk and crown her successor at the final event. The winner of the contest will compete representing Japan at Miss Universe 2010 pageant later this year.

Ryu Ji-kwang is Mister World Korea 2010

24 year old Ryu Ji-kwang won the title of Mister World Korea 2010 in a male beauty pageant held at the Songdo Convention Center in Incheon. He will represent Korea in Mr World 2010 on March 27 in Seoul. First runner-up is Park Hyun-woo and second runner-up is Choi Jae-ung.
