Ana de Backer of Brazil wins Mrs Tourism Queen International 2018
Mrs. Brazil, Ana de Backer won the first Mrs Tourism Queen International title. She competed in Malaysia with representatives of 30 countries and 5 continents, all married women. Earlier this year, Brazil also won the title Miss Tourism Queen International, with Camilla Reis.
Second place went to Mexico, with South Africa placing 3rd, Malaysia 4th and Mongolia 5th. Myanmar was chosen as "Mrs Global Tourism", Netherlands won the Photogenic award, New Zealand was Mrs Elegance and Brazil, the eventual winner, also got the Mrs Fitness award.
Ana was the original winner of Miss Brazil World 2015. At that time, she was married in Belgium, where her husband is from, but not in Brazil. Being single in her native country meant that she was accepted by MWO, however, her marriage was in the process of Homologation in Brazil, which would happen in a few months. She then had to choose one or the other, and she decided not to stop the Homologation process. Catharina Choi Nunes, her 1st runner-up, was then crowned Miss Brazil World 2015.
