Philippines will host Mr. World in 2019

The Miss World Organisation (MWO) has formally announced that the next edition of Mr World will take place on January 27, 2019 in Manila, Philippines. The contestants will arrive in Manila on January 11 and will spend nearly three weeks in the beautiful archipelago of islands, hosted by the Resorts World group.

Originally the contest, which celebrates it's 10th edition was scheduled to take place in September this year, but the organisation stated that due to an increased demand for national franchises, they have decided to postpone the contest until early 2019. At the press conference attended by the reigning Miss World 2017, Manushi Chhillar and Mr World 2016, Rohit Khandelwal (both from India) together with Philippines' National Director, Arnold Vegafria, the MWO stated that they are expecting more than 100 contestants to battle it out for the Mister World title.

"There are so many beautiful beaches over here. And the food here in the Philippines... I'm already very fond of halo-halo and so many different dishes. Besides, [in] the Philippines, the people are really friendly and I think just like a week is not enough to visit," Vegafria said.
