Elvira Devinamira wins Puteri Indonesia 2014
21 year old Elvira Devinamira from Surabaya (East Java), was crowned Puteri Indonesia 2014 during the annual event held at the Plenary Hall of the Jakarta Convention Center on Wednesday, January 29th.
Devinamira, who was crowned by reigning Miss Universe 2013 Gabriela Isler of Venezuela and reigning Puteri Indonesia 2013 Whulandary Herman, will represent Indonesia during the Miss Universe 2014 finals later this year in Fortaleza, Brazil.
The runners-up were Elfin Pertiwi from South Sumatra, and Estelita Liana from Yogyakarta, who will compete in the Miss International 2014 and Miss Supranational 2014 pageants.
38 accomplished young women competed in the annual event. Indonesia had an excellent showing in the international arena last year with several finalists and semi-finalists in the world’s most important beauty competitions.
