Adriana Vasini, Miss Venezuela wins Reina Hispanoamericana 2009

22 year old Miss Venezuela, Adriana Cristina Vasini Sanchez wins the title of Reina Hispanoamericana 2009 in a beauty pageant held on October 29 at Santa Cruz, Bolivia.

The 1.78 m beauty from Maracaibo, Venezuela, was always considered one of the top choices for the crown. She currently holds the title of Miss World Venezuela 2009 (Miss Mundo Venezuela), expecting to compete at the Miss World 2010 contest in Vietnam.

The “Virreina” or “vice-miss” is 19-year old Sandra Vinces, Miss Ecuador>. The 1st runner-up was Miss Brazil (Livia Nepomuceno), 2nd runner-up was Miss Spain (Melody Mir). 3rd runner-up was Miss Bolivia (Flavia Foianini), the 4th runner-up was Miss Dominican Republic (Rocio Castellon) and the 5th runner-up was Miss Colombia (Lina Mosquera).

The panel of judges, composed by international celebrities and experts, included Ada Aimee de la Cruz, Miss Dominican Republic 2009 and 1st runner-up in the Miss Universe 2009 pageant.

Miss Chile, Nataly Chilet Bustamante won the Most Beautiful Face Award of the Reina Hispanoamericana 2009 Beauty Pageant in an event promoted by Yanbal and Promociones Gloria.

Reina Hispanoamericana 2009 Preliminary Awards

Reina Hispanoamericana 2009 Pageant Preliminary Awards. The Chica Aerosur contest, promoted by Aerosur - Bolivian Airlines, took place in Sucre. The winner was Miss Brazil, Livia Da Silva Nepomuceno, who during a whole year will be able to travel to all Aerosur’s destinations for free, including Madrid, Miami, Lima and Buenos Aires. Miss Venezuela, Adriana Vasini Sanchez placed 2nd, and Miss Chile, Nataly Chilet Bustamante came in 3rd.

In an event took place in Santa Cruz, Miss Dominican Republic, Rocio Elizabeth Castellanos Matias won the Most Beautiful Hair Award.

Miss Paraguay, Mareike Baumgarten was elected as the Most Elegant.

The most favorite of the photographers covering this pageant was voted for Miss Costa, Rica, Amalia Matamoros as this year's Miss Photogenic.



Lina Mosquera, Miss Colombia was awarded the Best Figure Award. Miss Bolivia, Flavia Fernanda Fioanini came in as 2nd place, followed closely by Miss Puerto Rico, Rebecca Fernandez Perez in 3rd place.

And lastly, the hometown girl, Miss Bolivia, Flavia Fernanda Fioanini was given the Most Beautiful Smile Award.

Truong Thi May is the representative of Vietnam to Miss Earth 2009

Miss Vietnamese Ethnic Groups 2007 1st run-up, Truong Thi May was appointed to represent Vietnam to the upcoming Miss Earth 2009 Beauty Pageant to be held in Boracay, Philippines on November.

May was from Mekong Delta province and stands 1.70m tall. She was also Miss Vietnam Photogenic 2006 1st run-up and works as a professional model.

Truong Thi recently wrapped up her first role in the movie “Duong dua” (Race track) by director Trong Hai. The film will compete in Vietnamese film festivals including Canh Dieu Vang (Golden Kite) and Bong Sen Vang (Golden Lotus) at the end of the year.

David Bosley as he was tagged "Stocky Amboy" wins the title of Mister Gay World Philippines 2009 in a pageant held on October 25 at Metro Bar, West Avenue, Quezon City. The contest was hosted by Mr. Boy Abunda. As the new Mister Gay World Philippines, David Bosley will represent his country at Mister Gay World 2009 Pageant to be held in Oslo, Norway.

1st run-up to the title was Herbert Chavez, while the 2nd run-up was Nomer Yuzon.

22 year old Dalysha Doorga wins the title of Miss Mauritius 2009 in a beauty pageant held on October 24 at the Movenpick Resort & Spa in Mauritius, Bel Ombre.

Dalysha stands 173cm tall and will represent Mauritius at the Miss Universe 2010 next year.
